Santorum Shows The World The Way?

“These buzz-words and me will guide you to still waters…”

“Sell your wife and kids if you have to. Just send me money to get elec…er, do the Lord’s work!”

“Santorum says Obama agenda not “based on Bible.”

Shock. Horror. Friends, this was an alarming Reuter’s headline when I looked this morning. Santorum has accused Obama of deviating from one of the religious holy books, namely the Bible.

Of course there are many Holy Books and humans worship many Gods, a fact that never seems to lead to questioning. In this instance, Obama it seems should be basing all his actions and decisions on a collection of ancient religious stories which have been handed down for thousands of years.

Among the stories are such gems as people beingĀ  turned into pillars of salt, swallowed by whales, building an Ark with the two-by-two animals, escaping across a sea when the water was parted, the adventures of a man with superhuman strength which was related to the length of his hair, burning bushes, turning water into wine, walking on water, feeding the multitudes, rising from the dead, etc.

I mean, when we were kids, we were told fairytales. And we believed them.

Then most of us grew up and realized they weren’t true but we understood their message. But people like Santorum, an evangelical Christian, hasn’t grown up and, despite his education, believes the theo-babble of the Bible, lock, stock and barrel.

Then when you add to him those who hold his beliefs and then factor in those who believe in Buddha, Allah, Yahweh, the Hindu Gods of which there are thousands, etc, it seems most of the world’s people are locked into worlds that don’t exist, worlds of fantasy, of myths, fraudulent worlds that promise life after death despite the fact that there is absolutely no supporting evidence for this at all. None!

How can humans be so stupid, so naive, so trusting? What do they tell themselves when they read about clerics molesting children? What do they think when they see the enormous wealth of the Catholic Church and bishops living in Palaces? What do they think when Christian Countries kill those from Muslim countries (and visa versa) in contravention to the clear edict that: THOU SHALL NOT KILL!

Santorum symbolizes what is wrong with America. There are too many like him, fanatics who use religion to get votes, who insult the intelligence of many of the world’s people.

When are we going to throw all religions into the same rubbish pit that we’ve thrown devils and witches and werewolves and goblins and other nonsensical creations of human imagination?

When are we going to ban all religion and its clear divisiveness and live together in a world of reality?

Santorum should be in a padded cell, not running for the Presidency!

  1. David; it is scary when you see lunatics running for presidency. I watched the tea party, I think it was in ABC. Scary stuff when they are let loose. I couldn’t imagine people so stupid until they opened their mouth. You know the most ridiculous about religion, how they preach all, love you for ever, but hate each other with a vengeance. Luckily my father was a thinker and taught me to think and not to rely on fairy tales.
David, not that many of us around, not much asked for intellect, it does not need many brain cells to watch ….has talent or similar rubbish.

  2. Scary indeed. White Westerners are just as gullible as people who believe in voodoo dolls and witchdoctors and vampires.

When are we going to grow up, stop acting like silly superstitious children?

  3. What can one say to this mad lot in the US. A lot of Americans would not considder them selves mad but if these sort of people even get a look in it does
ask some serious questions. To think thast these unbalanced people hold the future of the wolrd in their hands defies any rationallity.
What bothers me even more is the way the western ( Nato ) follows in lockstep. Where are the leaders there who could stand up to be counted?
You find the key in Theodor Herzl’s quote when he talked about the terrible power of our purse! If you like it or not the moneyed class ( predominantly yewish ) blackmail us all via the sycophants we are allowed to elect in what we call democracy.

  4. Never trust a man with a last name that ends in “um”. As in rect-um, scrot-um, deliri-um etc. After years of independent research in genetic major malfunction’s, the results are in. Anybody and everybody seeking an elected position in government, is a pathological liar, an embezzler, an extortionist, a serial mass murderer, incompetent, stupid beyond belief, and has strong tendencies toward child molestation, and small animal abuse. We won’t go into their sexual preferences. If it say’s “vote for me”, shoot it..

  5. Just vote for me and I’ll get you anything you want. That is another myth that people believe. The whole world cheered when Obama won the election yet look what we got. Another disappointment.

  6. The town of my youth had one “Assembly of God” church amongst the established denominations. During wednesday evening “prayer meetings” that took place in the summer when their windows were open, as you passed by, you would hear banging cymbals, stomping feet, shouts of “Hallelujah. Praise the LORD,” and a cacophony of mumbling that was supposed to be “speaking in tongues.” Everybody called them the “holy rollers.” Now, thanks to television evangelization, this particular sect and the other pentecostal and charismatic sects are the largest Christian grouping in the world and growing by leaps and bounds. Some of their churches have 25,000 members.

The common denominator of all of these evangelicals is the abandoning of reason (the Bible is perfect and the inerrant word of God) and the submission to a kind of mass hysteria. The base of the U.S. Republican Party is composed mostly of these critters. Rick Santorum, who is an intellectual lite weight and a Roman Catholic charismatic, has been pandering to this crowd.

The future of the good ‘ole USA doesn’t look too rosy.

One of the base tenets of the evangelicals is unswerving support for the Zionist Project (a/k/a the State of Israel) not really for any love of the Jewish people, but because their eschatology timeline says that the end-time Battle of Armageddon is near and will take place in Israel, which must be preserved until then.
