Friends, this is a photograph of part of the Moon, one taken using special film which introduces colors that aren’t really there.
As everyone knows, the Moon is a drab place where no life exists: no flowers, no birds, no rivers, absolutely nothing.
One day, perhaps in the not too distant future, our Earth, Gaea, will look like the Moon.
Tragically, there will be two dead planets circling each other for eternity but who will know, or care?
On Earth, there will be signs of habitation by many creatures, the dominant one being mankind.
And, somewhere, amidst the ruins, a crude, hand-written sign will say:
HUMANS WUZ HERE!
STUPID GREEDY CRUEL BASTARDS!
P.S. See. I told you! Forget the nukes. Viruses will do the job without destruction!

The United Nations health body said it was “deeply concerned about the potential negative consequences” of work by two leading flu research teams (Americans and Dutch) who this month said they had found ways to make H5N1 into a easily transmissible form capable of causing lethal human pandemics.

I understand where you’re coming from, but I think you’re underestimating the Earth’s ability to recover from the “surface nuisance” known as human beings.
Like many of George Carlin’s other philosophies, I have adopted his feelings about the Earth and the environment; “The planet is fine….the PEOPLE are f**ked!!”

Over 30 years ago in English class I wrote a satire on how to achieve world peace. All we have to do is get rid of anyone who as a small child displays any agressive tendencies. And all the rocks, trees and flowers rejoiced in the loss of mankind.

We certainly are the problem, Claudia and Grace and Max. It becomes more and more apparent to me by the day.
It’s not that we have an extinction wish but more that we, present company excluded, have insufficient intelligence to understand where we are headed and too many of our ‘leaders’ are deranged by the power they hold and by their greed for wealth!
Other than a people’s revolution, which seems unlikely, I see no real solution.

Deranged by power and greed for wealth. These should be diagnosable disorders. The cost to society is great! As to our very World! For sure these are at the top of the list of disorders to eradicate in humankind. Egalitarianism could replace those antisocial behaviours.

The problem is that a species has evolved that, generally speaking, is too big for its boots, not intelligent enough to avoid creating problems, too conceited to recognize its shortcomings and make changes, and is unable to learn from its dismal history.
And the few who can see the problems and what needs to be done are in the minority and have no power. Catch 22!

Quite right Max. The article makes no mention however, of the Rothschild cabal at the center of much of the worlds conflicts. Thur their many and sundry banking institutions world-wide, they fund both sides of these conflicts insuring profit for themselves and their minions off of human loss. They’ve done it for over a century.
One hint of this fact is that for the US Congress members, ‘insider trading’ is LEGAL.
David, I’ve ceased to call any elected officials “leaders”. They are minions; tools in the hands of a bigger purpose. They are bought and paid for and follow orders from their superiors. They do not represent people or the interests of people. They are cyborgs carrying out the will of an insidious, evil hierarchy of human-being-type creatures who revel at suffering, destruction and turmoil.
We are indeed at war. And they are the enemy. All those who promote war, threaten war or consider war are the enemy.

The only just war would be against the people starting illegal wars,and get rid of them starting with the American government then Israels.Our the 7 plus billion take back there freedom all at the same time,it would be like stepping on an Ant.We all lived before the industrial revolution without destroying the world,for instance if we can live like the Natives did we would thrive.And everthing after many many years would get better ,and there would be less humains.Not that I buy over population considering every person on earth could live in Ontario Canada with more than 1 acer each.And most houses have more than 3 people giving over 4 acers per house hold,in 1 province.
