Greed begins with this!

And ends with this!

When looking around for reasons as to why the world is in such a mess, one word keeps flashing at me in bright neon lights: GREED.

It’s interesting to consider why we humans are so turned on by greed, why those who manipulate us have found a surefire way to control us, to turn us into pig-like creatures who demand more and more of everything even if we can’t afford it.

As I have observed before, human haven’t always been this way. During my upbringing, people generally were modest in their demands and were seemingly satisfied with little. How did we get from that stage to becoming obsessively greedy? We now want it all, demand it all, but we can’t get it all, can we?

Only a few people get it all and they make up the small percentage who have most of the wealth. The rest of us trot along like the stupid donkey who has a carrot on a stick out in front of its nose. It trots along convinced that one day it will get that carrot but it never will! The system doesn’t allow it! Those running the system won’t live lives of obscene luxury if they have to share their wealth.

Ugliness, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Ugliness can refer to the physical attributes of a human being or their spiritual attributes.

Few would argue that Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and Hitler were extremely ugly human beings. But what about George W Bush, the ‘WMD’ man and his successor, Barack Obama, the ‘change we can believe in’ man!

As America goes about its plans to achieve global domination, there are ever more concerning things happening within the States. According to ICH this morning, “The Senate is going to vote on whether Congress will give this president—and every future president — the power to order the military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians anywhere in the world.”

Friends, last night I watched a movie set in WW2. It was called ‘The Man Who Is To Come’  (the title, I worked out, refers to Jesus). It detailed a small massacre by German troops of a group of civilians in Italy, mainly women and children, who were accused of being partisans. The movie left a very bad taste in my mouth and I had nightmares last night.

This morning, I found a site that featured 12 Famous Massacres (the link is at the end of this post). It also had details of 10 massacres caused by bombing which showed killing on a much larger scale. As well, it also detailed political massacres complete with photographs. It is an interesting site for those who are interested in history and who want to learn from it.

It was all too much for me however. The photographs were disturbing, proof (as if we needed it) of man’s universal, never-ending inhumanity to his own kind (and every other specie who gets in his road).

I suppose the point I am leading up to can be summarized in the following question: did the dropping of two atomic bombs on Japan permanently let the destructive war genie out of mankind’s bottle?

History shows clearly that the mass killing genie has been set free at various times in history as Empires fought for dominance. Slaughtering ones’ enemies by putting them to the sword has always been a favourite pastime of the two-legged ape. But the numbers were relatively small.

With the advent of gunpowder, killing became easier. We quickly moved from the muzzle-loaders to the machine gun. The discovery of aeroplanes allowed us to drop bombs on those who displeased us. The emergence of tanks allowed us to move powerful cannons around the battlefield without the problems created by gun carriages and horses.

Then, in WW2, some genius came up with the formula to make atomic bombs. What a hero! WW2 culminated in the killing of over 200,000 people in Nagasaki and Hiroshima in the space of a few seconds whereas the Blitz in London only killed 43,000 and it took years to achieve.

Here is a group of G20 World Leaders. The Queen is probably the only one who can actually ‘do’ something!

It is truly an amazing spectacle, what’s happening in the Euro Zone and the U.S. today.

Gathered together are an amazing collection of world leaders: Prime Ministers, Kings, Presidents, Treasurers, Finance Ministers, all of whom are advised by highly credentialed Economists, Bankers, Financial Gurus, etc, and yet there is clearly no one who knows what to do about the current world financial catastrophe and the spreading contagion.

The Americans, who claim to be the leaders of the free world, finished their Supercommittee deliberations and declared they don’t know how to solve their financial problems. I saw Kerry walking out in a huff. How the hell did they manage to put a man on the moon (perhaps they really didn’t)?

In Europe, constant meetings are held, the midnight oil is burned (adding to Global Warming), people wave their arms and shout in different languages and plot and plan and make notes while share-markets go down and down but none of the experts know how to solve their financial problems either.

What this situation seems to have exposed is that the world is being run by dolts, dunces, dills, imposters, frauds, nincompoops, slippery con-men and ugly con-women.

FROM WIKIPEDIA: The dodo (Raphus cucullatus) was a flightless bird endemic to the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius. Related to pigeons and doves, it stood about a meter (3.3 feet) tall, weighed about 20 kilograms (44 lb), lived on fruit, and nested on the ground.

The dodo, which was indigenous only to Mauritius, had lost the power of flight because food was abundant and predators were absent.

By 1681 all dodos had been killed by the settlers or by their domesticated animals on the island. The extinction of the bird, within 80 years of its discovery, made man realise for the first time that he could induce the extinction of plants and animals.

The phrase “dead as a dodo” means undoubtedly and unquestionably dead, while the phrase “go the way of the dodo” means to become extinct or obsolete, to fall out of common usage or practice, or to become a thing of the past.

Friends, humans, during this time of escalating world conflict, increasing militarism, and increasing numbers of nukes, would do well to be reminded of the fate of the dodo.

It was a specie that was too stupid to foresee its own demise, much like humans!

We too will ‘go the way of the dodo’ if we continue on the path of war and imperialism we are on.

Friends, currently the world does appear to be imploding as various nations, institutions like religions, and financial and political pressure groups within nations struggle to be dominant, to gain control, and to crush others.

It may help your understanding of why this implosion seems to be quickening to identify some of the players and what they are trying to achieve.

First cab off the rank has to be the White Supremacist grouping led by America and its colonialist ‘white’ allies. Of course, most of the nations that belong to this ancient grouping are to be found in Europe where many of them had empires and fought endless wars with each other over centuries.

America, the new kid on the block, was peopled by ‘white’ Europeans so there is a common heritage there as well as the primitive mindset that war and colonialism is normal and is all part of the human game. That ‘white’ is superior underlies all their thinking as does the idea that ‘might is right!’

So the White Supremacists are currently joining together to try to commandeer scarce resources across the world and prevent competitors from getting them. They are using methods like invasion and occupation (Iraq and Afghanistan), bombing the hell out of selected warring factions (as NATO did in Libya), supplying arms and covert mercenaries to various rebellions in order to influence the outcome, supporting friendly military juntas (like the one forming in  Egypt), etc.

In the background, China and India are growing in power. Ironically, Russia has thrown off its cold war failure just as America is entering an economic downturn which may bleed it dry.

Another group trying to control our world can be found among the world’s religions. Yes, although it is 2011, religion still controls the minds and lives of many billions of people. The two major Religious Supremacists are the the Muslims and the Christians who have been at each other’s throats for thousands of year. The  White Supremacists identify with Christianity (but not the ‘love thy neigbour’ part and the ‘thou shall not kill’ edict) while the Islamists, who are being slaughtered by the White Supremacists by the millions, fight back using ever more drastic methods (suicide bombings, etc).

Friends, right across the world the Own Wall Street Movement (OWS) is gaining momentum. People are beginning to wake up to the fact that a handful of people in the world have grabbed most of the wealth while the bulk of us have been screwed over and over even paying for the financial failures of those who are millionaires and billionaires.

Governments and the Rich alike are fearful of this movement because they don’t know where it might lead. They are frightened of losing control over the masses so they send in the riot police who, heavily armoured and well armed, inflict as much injury as they can on those protesting regardless of their gender or age. The idea is to cause pain so that the faint-hearted might think twice about joining another protest.

They use pepper spray, tear gas, batons, sound cannons, high pressure water hoses, boots, martial arts, and, if they have to, rubber bullets, etc. Look at the thug…sorry, police person in the lower image. Have you ever seen such brutality?

This collage of notorious American faces, shows their reaction when they heard the news that Australia, led by Julia Gillard, has allowed an American Marine Base in Darwin plus access to our naval facilities and airfields.

Friends, the thin edge of the wedge has been inserted into our nation and the gradual loss of our sovereignty is underway.

We must be the laughing stock of the whole world but the Chinese aren’t laughing, no way! They are already scouring maps of the world looking for alternative suppliers for their raw materials. They will realize that feeding your enemy’s friends is counterproductive.

And the Muslim Nations aren’t laughing either, so strong is their hatred of America (and its Allies) and everything it stands for (greed, endless war, racism, white supremacy, etc).
