Friends, I read an excellent article by June Terpstra on ICH today, one she called ‘Forth Of July Lies.’ A few excerpts are shown above. It is an outstanding article, one that shows her depth of understanding about the huge problems besetting America and some of the rest of the world and I would recommend that everyone read it several times.
After reading the article, then I watched a news conference in which a solemn announcement was made about the death of another Australian soldier in Afghanistan and the serious wounding of another.
A bit disconcerted by this news because I believe that Australia should not be in Afghanistan, I turned on the television to find something to watch that would take my mind off things and I happened across a movie called Direct Contact.
I began to watch it then, after 20 minutes, I turned it off in disgust. It was about an American hero who was offered release from jail if he rescued a woman the CIA wanted to get back. It is a plot that has been done to death a thousand times. What followed was the usual American hero defeating hundreds of enemy soldiers and ruthless thugs single-handed and leaving them dead or dying. Arnie made such unreality popular.
In her article, June Terpstra mentioned the dumbing down of the America people by the education system, television, and Hollywood with its insidious programming that implies that killing is good as long as those killed are identified as undesirables. Torture, collateral damage, rendition, the breaking of laws and conventions, are all justified too if you can cast your side as representing the ‘goodies’ and anyone who stands in your road as evil terrorists. The movie I turned off had all the propaganda ingredients in spades.
June Terpstra is a force for good in the world. She cuts through the bullshit pushed by America, Europe and Israel and exposes the giant con job that is being done on the people of our world, a con job that enables the few to have it all, and that enables war to be endless.
It’s unfortunate that many Americans and Europeans will brand her as unpatriotic, perhaps even a traitor!
Such is their profound stupidity!
Could it be that the more competent people are, the less apt they are to reproduce more than two children. More than two children are produced by incompetent people who cannot think beyond what they see on television and cannot comprehend TV programs with real information. Those folks still want to participate in policy discussions. They want to have an opinion that is respected by others. Fox news lets them do that by presenting all information on the most simplistic level, by emphasizing the most vapid emotional triggers, using blond bombshells, racism, sexism, hate mongering, American exceptionalism, greed, hierarchy, and rejection of compassion, equality, and human rights. What a perfect recipe for the destruction of a nation.

The most worrying aspect, Steve, is that those who are dumbing down the nation and engaging in endless war can’t see how dumb they are. And they can’t see they are heading down a dead-end street which will eventually bring death to them as well, as history clearly demonstrates!
It must be time for a glass of red wine or two!

The more I learn about the USA, the less reason I have to be proud of my country. Yes I support the troops. Bring them home! I can not support what they are doing. David, I fear Americans will soon find themselves, ourselves in the same boat, in a manner of speaking, as the Palistinians with little or no opportunity to better our lives. On a good note, I see more and more people waking up and asking the right questions. Maybe the illusion is starting to fail. Let us not lose hope. Cheers-

I know the world is run by madmen and madwomen but surely they will not be allowed to bring the world to an end, surely sanity must eventually prevail (or so I keep telling myself).

We spent the Fourth of July in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Santa Cruz, CA. I used to live there and remember all the fun and laying on the beach watching fireworks.
Not anymore! Fun has nearly been outlawed and the fun seekers have become outlaws!. You gotta be stealthy. All about stealth. No fireworks show and $1000 fine for any fireworks on the beach. Same with beer! (though less of a fine_ still illegal).
We were at the Beach and Boardwalk where the arcade and rides are. I was shocked at the criminal element. Hard times on Cloud 9! I couldn’t take my eyes and hands off my bag for one minute. It was like sharks. There are certain people who go there just to scope out and steal what they can from people busy having fun.
I found myself shocked at the two Worlds that live side by side in virtual silence. The well off and the impoverished – all at the same free beach.
I realized I was falling into the Police State Paradigm. I knew by dark it would be a rumba line of arrests. I looked around at the gangster thug kids and just felt sad for them and I don’t want to be a part of the society that says lock them up. I see how school and society fail too many. It has become a set-up now. I think we should all be humble and not afraid of one another. I am returning to my roots. I grew up in a dangerous town. I have been kidnapped and held at gunpoint and yet – those are not the people that bother me!!
People like my family who choose to associate themselves with society’s “winners.” They are whores of another variety. Their cruelty masked with smiles. Money for things that will advance them in society, not out of love, not even for an only grandson. When they do give it is all for their ego and they can take all the credit for. Not what is needed, what makes them feel good. They told my son they bought a new IMAC laptop but never wrote to him or sent him a photo during their month in Europe. These are the most selfish generation of Americans. They say they are democrats and liberals, but when you say something about the invasive airport exams, they shrug, like well, that is how it has to be! They are also the most judgemental people, constantly judging people in conversations.
My challenge is to break free of the typical American mindset that is fallen over this Country.
An us or them and lock THEM up. Them is becoming the ones who have been locked out of society for various reasons and it is very cruel. Any race of people can be racist. However, a dominant white race that locks up the brown, black and political dissenters, native americans, lost souls and mentally ill is the cruelest racism of all.
I remember when visiting India and thinking the poor people are alot more well adjusted than the poor of America. In India you are allowed to be poor. It is one of the states of being and you have LOTS of company.

The underlying problem is that the U.S.A. has never been a real country or nation, but rather a CORPORATION right from square one, from 1776 onward. This cruel, greedy, anti-family system was founded upon greed and selfishness right from the very beginning as an unholy alliance of Jewish bankers, Masons, and selfish Protestants preaching the Gospel Of The Almighty Dollar and economic “prosperity” rather than preaching the Gospel Of Christ. Look at the founding documents of this system. Nowhere in them will you find the mention of the family, which is the basic unit of any civilized society, but you will find many references to commerce (greed, lust for the Almighty Dollar), and references to individual “rights” (a concept that totally tears apart families and society and destroys any sense whatsoever of the common good). This is why radical individualism, greed and selfish stupidity reign supreme in the “Land Of The Free, Home Of The Brave” (in reality Land Of The FEE, Home Of The SLAVE)!
