Friends, I read an excellent article by June Terpstra on ICH today, one she  called ‘Forth Of July Lies.’ A few excerpts are shown above. It is an outstanding article, one that shows her depth of understanding about the huge problems besetting America and some of the rest of the world and I would recommend that everyone read it several times.

After reading the article, then I watched a news conference in which a solemn announcement was made about the death of another Australian soldier in Afghanistan and the serious wounding of another.

A bit disconcerted by this news because I believe that Australia should not be in Afghanistan, I turned on the television to find something to watch that would take my mind off things and I happened across a movie called Direct Contact.

Friends, is it just me or is there a sudden, decided decline in decency and values in the world?

After reading the articles on ICH this morning, I felt a sense of despondency, of alarm, even a touch of fear. In part it had to do with the actions of NATO, an organization which I once thought was run by nations who still had some decency and values. No longer!

There is talk now about military boots being placed on the ground in the Middle East. No, not U.S. military boots but NATO military boots! We are all used to American invasions and occupation every which place but NATO always seemed to have some respectability in spite of constant American pressure. No longer! NATO is into the war game big time!

What has caused the current problem is the breakout by Arab nations, their rebellion against their Western-supported dictators which left their oil at risk of being nationalized depending up who got into power. Rich nations need oil to drive their economies, their armies, their industries!  That’s all that counts!

So suddenly, Britain and France flew into the Valley of Death and they have carried out more than 10,000 sorties against Libya. Why Libya you ask? Because Libya, under Gaddafi, was leading the charge by African countries to join together into a union which would’ve replaced the colonialist West! Shock! Horror!

Of course, in the background, America is still heavily involved especially when it comes to bribery, threats, and double-dealing. America didn’t set up its African Command because it loved the African nations and the African people! No, America loves wealth and power just like some of the NATO members! The difference is that America want total power and wealth!

Africom was set up to ensure that America had a say, had a presence, had a military base in Africa, one that could and would bully the emerging African nations and either relieve them of some of their resources or stop China and India from getting hold of them.

Friends, another aid convoy is preparing to head towards Gaza bringing supplies and large numbers of peace activists from many nations of the world including America. These activists are currently receiving training in how to deal with Israeli commandos.

Already two of the ships have been sabotaged by Israel (who else would do it?) via cutting the drive shaft which turns the propellers. Israel cares nothing for the sovereignty of nations like Greece or Turkey and sends it  minions anywhere to do their dirty work. It is also rumored that America is applying pressure on the Greek Government to use all means to delay the convoy.

The Israeli navy is again preparing to use force to stop the convoy. And Clinton, predictably, has issued no travel advice to the Americans on the convoy or issued a warning to the Israelis to avoid harming American citizens.

The outcome of this second venture is predictable. Israel will use force and more people will be killed.
