Friends, if ever the world needed another CHE GUEVARA it is now!
Che is still admired by many for his work in combating those who oppressed the people of South America and Cuba, etc and exploited them, namely a cabal of despots like Batista, groups of wealthy European capitalists and colonialists who exploited the poor and took their resources, and gluttonous imperial powers like America.
His was a romantic life in part. Though he was flawed, he was an idealist, a thinker, ruthlessly fierce guerrilla fighter, author, Marxist revolutionary, and a doctor who put aside his fight to cure humans of their physical diseases and instead became a fighter for freedom in many countries.
Che correctly identified the U.S. and its colonialist Allies as the enemies of the world and freedom. He correctly saw that a version of socialism was the only way to guarantee equality. He saw that capitalism was a system that favored only the rich and the powerful, and that militarism would advantage only those with huge armies who would use their power unfairly.
Che also saw that guerrilla warfare carried out by determined men could defeat even the strongest armies. He even wrote a book about it and it is still used by those who seek freedom.
