A World Full Of Bizarre Contrasts!

One of a prominent billionaire’s mansions with 58 bedrooms and 33 bathrooms!

Many billionaires have one or two of these as well which they might use once or twice a year!

This child doesn’t even have a toy boat or a future!

The world is filled with shanty towns just like this, ones filled with violence and despair!

Friends, we live in a world of stark contrasts. Billionaires and multi-millionaires live obscenely extravagant lifestyles that we, who belong to the working and middles classes, can only imagine.

While they indulge themselves and fly around the world in their own jets, billions of people live in poverty, a situation they can’t get out of.

Such inequality is unnecessary. If Governments wanted to, they could take from the rich and give to the poor using taxation (which most billionaires pay little of when they should be paying 90+ cents in the dollar). Of course the rich would squeal like stuck pigs and would immediately join together to try to get rid of such a Government and the billionaire media proprietors would help them.

The world is set up to advantage the rich, no doubt about it. Equality for all is forgotten as are the impoverished and the starving.

Ironically, we are starting to see poverty and starvation and homelessness even in wealthy first world countries now, even in places like America. The GFC is still in progress

But are Governments moving to address this? No way! The wages and conditions and pensions of the lower classes are being cut while the billionaires get richer.

Eventually, when enough people are squeezed, there is going to be a rebellion, much like the one raging in Greece. The man and women in the street are going to attack the wealthy, burn their mansions and luxury cruisers, just as the French people did during the French Revolution.

Friends, the world and its people do not exist for the ultra-rich to exploit. The world is here for everyone and everyone should share equally in its wealth.

It’s time we changed the way the world is run and to do that we need to run the ultra-wealthy out of town, treat them as the pariahs and parasites that they are, take their wealth and redistribute it to those who are starving.

We need a semi-socialist system, one that rewards hard work but does not allow the accumulation of massive wealth. Taxation, on a sliding scale and properly applied to everyone, can achieve that as can death duties.

Let’s seek equality of opportunity for everyone in the world before we need to engage in a bloody revolution!

  1. It will never change, government will never change, the peasants will never change, the elite will never change, they will all continue to grow unabated, until the Earth has had enough, and shakes like a wet dog, flinging the offending parties off into space. Then it will change.

The human world has to change, Joe, or it will go down the spout. Easter Island is a stark reminder of what can occur. Those staring statues are prescient.

Thank you for this article as well as for all your “POSTS.” I have a question more than a comment
William Blum’s book: “Killing Hope:US Military and CIA Interventions Since WWII” lists 56 USA
“interventions.” If I remember correctly one of your posts was followed by a link which en-
numerated a more extensive list of American “military ‘abusive’ interventions. If one of your
posts did refer your readers to another link…what is the date and title of that post? Consideringall the abuses here in the USA since 1492, a list of all American “abusive interventions” in the name of freedom & democracy would probably be beyound comprehension.
Thank you again for your work and answering my question. Ken Lerczak

Kenneth, I cannot find the link that you are after but if you Google “Armed interventions by America during its History” you’ll find lots of references which will hopefully give you the information you’re after!

    Cheers.

  3. It would be 30 years ago now that my youngest daughter’s father said -”There will come a day when there will be no more soup kitchens”. The poor will have enough of lines for food and will just steal from the rich who will be outnumbered. I think that time is fast approaching.

  4. David G nice post. I fear the only way a change will occur is by rebellion there has to be a rebellion/transition of some sort as people at this stage are not all uniting so that they can have equality. The way i think it will unfold is only when things get that bad that to survive the people will HAVE to fight against the system. It is sad indeed change is inevitable but will change occur when its too late? . . .In an ideal world this change would happen peacefully, but in an ideal world we wouldn’t be in this situation either

  5. Taxing the rich is becoming a persistent theme in USA these days – at least online!

The gross disparities are becoming more stark by the day.
    People are waking up.

Greece is setting an example now. Getting hit with canisters of teargas made in Pennsylvania.
USA is thisclose to having Greek style riots.

When you don’t have a home and you can’t eat properly, things change quickly.
There are school districts with 1500 homeless children in them. That is becoming typical in certain parts.
” According to the most recent federal data, in the 2008-2009 school year, 954,914 homeless children and youth were enrolled in public schools. This is a 20 percent increase from the 2007-2008 school year, and a 41% increase from the 2006-2007 school year. It is important to note that this number is not an estimate of the prevalence of child and youth homelessness; in fact, it is an underestimate..”

  6. Libya getting the Gaza treatment from NATO..

    McKinney: The “Israelization” of NATO
“We already know that this president is guilty of committing war crimes,” says Cynthia McKinney, the former Georgia congresswoman and Green Party presidential candidate who recently returned from a fact-finding mission to Libya.
…”We’re seeing the Israelization of NATO policy” against Libya, through “collective punishment” and “refusal to allow food, fuel and medicine to come in as they bomb people. Sounds a lot like Gaza, doesn’t it?” McKinney and other activists are on an “Eyewitness Libya” speaking tour.

  7. Another good one:

“Philip Roettinger is an old boy enrolling in a new school. Tall, straight-backed, and well-spoken, Roettinger, 72, is an alumnus of the CIA. Among other inglorious deeds in the spying trade, he was part of the 1954 successful effort to overthrow left-leaning Guatemalen President Jacobo Arbenz… Roettinger, ex-CIA case officer and former Marine colonel, is now president of the newly formed Association for Responsible Dissent (ARDIS). Some of that dissenting was heard recently when Roettinger and 13 other former CIA officials – from undercover agents to counterintelligence specialists – announced the purpose of their group: ‘We are going to try to expose covert action. We’re going to try to get it legally banned because we can find no reason, no justification, for covert action on the part of the American people’.

“The group spoke of the congressional and public records being ‘replete with accounts of US covert operations that killed, wounded and terrorized millions of people whose countries were not at war with the United States nor possessed the capabilities to do remarkable physical hurt to the United States, who themselves bore the United States no ill will nor cared greatly about the issues of ‘communism’ or ‘capitalism’. With the group estimating that ‘at least 6 million people have died as a consequence of US covert operations since World War II’, one question rushes in from the cold. With 6 million dead, why not go beyond the banning of only covert actions to abolishing the CIA altogether?” (Excesses of the CIA)

  8. Very good read and it does make me wonder what will be the outcome if or when this clustermuck that is happening world wide his its peak. Will we become savages who come and go un roving mobs raping and pillaging like barbarians or will we figure out that we all need each other and must work together to get over the mountain top.
