F-15 Strike Eagles: another wonderful American gift to the world!
Friends, this is a photograph of an American fighter plane, one of 80 which the U.S. is selling to Saudi Arabia. According to Al Jazerra today, the U.S. is going to train Saudis to fly these menacing planes in ways that increase their potential to kill.
Of course, you would be aware that there is trouble in Saudi Arabia as the people rebel against their despotic Kings. So who do you think will be the targets of these jets which, as you can see, are bristling with every conceivable missile and bomb and machine gun?
Of course, these America planes are only one of many fighters being produced by the U.S. Armament industries. France produces these types of planes too as does Russia. There are others.
Is doesn’t take a lot of imagination to work out how many fighter jets there are in the world and how quickly their numbers are increasing. And you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to work out what the end result of a world filled with weaponry like this and nuclear bombs will be eventually.
Have Weapons – Will Use Them is the outcome of all this expenditure on weapons, expenditure led by the U.S. which, having put together the world’s biggest army, wants every other nation on earth to build up its military (but not too far) so that America can profit from endless war.
Why does the world allow the U.S. to continue with this madness which can only have one outcome: that of the extinction of the human race?
Why are the people who make money from warmongering allowed to continue to profit from the killing of millions?
Why do we, the little people, allow our world to be manipulated by these deranged types who build and sell these monstrous birds of death, types who care nothing for us or the environment but care only about making lots of money and grabbing lots of power?
The illustration in my sidebar of the eagle with its talons deep in the bleeding flesh of the world is very apt.
Is America capable of nothing else?
P.S. Would you like to help change the World? Check out PEACE in the Sidebar.

But…it’s what we do so very well…and we’re nearly out of work…it’s all we now export…we’re so helpless to stop our pyschopathic leaders. Stop WHINING Everybody!!! Get Ickes’ latest book, “Human Race: Get Off Your Knees, the Lion Sleeps No More”!!

F-15 – how ugly
Thank’s so much, David for every single of your articles. And as usual this also hit the nail exactly on it’s head.
I should hurry to tell how much I regret every single human being being killed around the world because of war -when I cannot refrain from (a) laugh – because we, this worlds craziest animal thinks it can solve it’s problems by producing ‘more and more arms.’
What I use to advocate ( in those days of upheavals, more or less everywhere around the world), where NATO/US (think it) has the heavy duty to worry- because it’s heart is ‘so’ sensitive/delicate ) about the various countries/dictators (other than them self) who’s accumulated dangerous quantities of military hardware,, and now are up to kill,, – to – simply MAKE A BAN ON ALL TYPES OF (GUNPOWDERED IRON-BULLET) WEAPONS.
What a niece place it could be if the world could agree on this (only) logical common sense – or otherwise — people will continue to die (in the millions) – with or without Nato/US..

John, how wonderful to hear from you. Yes, the idea of a world without weapons is too hard to imagine. Weapons define human beings, tell us what we really are: savages.
Fortunately there are some humans who don’t fit this mold. We are in the minority but who cares? One day perhaps we might tame the savages.

Dear David:
I just moved to Spain to get the hell out of the evil American imperialist state! I could not longer live there – knowing what America has been doing on a daily basis for the past 50 years. Actually, since the beginning of the Republic, which was founded on Genocide and slavery. I just hope we can all survive what is coming down the pike.
Best regards,
Kent

Kent, you really are a man of conviction. Spain is a great place to live and I hope it all works out for you. I’m sure that many Americans will envy you!

It always amazes me how we sell these arms to countries, and then act shocked when they use them. What did the British Government think the Yemenese, Libyan and Saudi authorities were going to do with the millions of pounds worth of crowd control equipment we sold them?

The problem is, Lucy, that we don’t make the people who sell arms, etc, responsible for the damage and deaths that their products cause. We did it with cigarettes (to a certain extent) but the armament industry, so loved by some Governments, seems to be exempt.
We have to break the connection between corporations and Governments!

Dear David
While I largely agree with much of what you say, especially about the US today, and have signed up to your excellent website, I cannot go all the way with you. There are many good people all over the world doing fine creative things. Have a look at the website, ‘Positive News’ and it’s associated quarterly newspaper (free, thyough they ask for a voluntary subscription). It is full of heart-warming stories about people, mostly the young, doing wonderful work to make the world a better place.
I know it’s grim at present, but its not all bad news,so CHEER UP!

Thanks for your comment, Abaris. I suppose I do spend a lot of time looking at the big picture and what I see fills me with dread.
Sure there are individuals and groups who are doing good works but those who are running the world don’t care about them. They only care about grabbing more power and more wealth and will use any means to achieve these objectives.
People like Chavez do give me some hope but he is small potatoes in the scheme of things. We need a Chavez to emerge in one of the major Western countries, put the cat among the warring pigeons!

Abaris…tried to link up to Positive News but could not…any hints? I agree that too much of what passes for reality is couched in fearful views…remember all the anonymous GOOD happening everywhere and let it be peaceful in your heart…if anger and negativity are what is residing in your heart center that is what is beeing realized in your world view…we all know the horrors and we must explore the ‘Hidden Reality
‘ that exisits alongside the obvious evils…Kate

Bless the young. Their energy, their strength, vision, clarity, wit. With all this nuclear radiation, they tell people over 40 to not even bother taking the medicine, to save it for the young. So much for wise elders to help out.
Hey I have an eight year old kid who will be nine in a few days with two parents over 40.
The World has me baffled these days. I feel at a crossroads again and need to gather my troops, sts.

The democracy of hypocrisy, run by idiocrats of the idocracy. Terrorism is what the US does, blowing smoke up things is a science perfected by America’s government. Lying is a universal policy of American presidents, as is double speak. Bombing countries into democracy, is counter productive, and wasteful. Imprisoning the population is what we call freedom? How do you tell your kid that joining the army to “protect” our freedom was the stupidest thing they could have done? Worse yet, how could you let them? You don’t. You let them tell you how horrible they feel for being the terrorist’s, for the pain and suffering inflicted in the name of freedom, then you watch them self destruct.
