“Baaaaaaaaaaaaahhh! Surprise, surprise!”
Friends, after decades of pretense, the U.S., during the unrest in the Middle East, has finally been revealed, shown its true colours, its real nature.
Yes, after decades of pretending to be the champion of democracy, of human rights, of decency, of caring, the U.S. has shown itself to be a wolf similar in stripe to Hitler.
Actually, to be fair to wolves, the U.S. is actually much worse than a wolf because a wolf doesn’t bother with pretense. It is what it is. Unlike America, it lives by a code and is true to that code. It kills when it is hungry but it’s not greedy. It doesn’t hoard. It doesn’t tell lies. It doesn’t seek to control or manipulate all other wolves or their territories.
The U.S. on the other hand wears its sheep’s clothing so that its head is almost constantly hidden. It bleats when it has to, adopts sheep-like behavior, talks about peace on earth, lions laying with lambs.
But while it talks about peace and justice, it engages in endless wars and builds military bases everywhere and uses hideous weapons. While it talks about democracy, it supports a cabal of brutal despots. While it claims to be shaping a better world it is slaughtering innocent civilians, torturing, rendering, destroying.
While it criticizes China for human rights abuses and imperialism in Tibet, it engages in all manner of invasions and occupations in oil-rich countries and the installation of puppet governments which it controls.
It uses its armies to bully smaller nations or it offers them conditional bribes which, because of their impoverishment, they are forced to accept.
It funds terrorist groups where there is geo-political advantage to be had. Its operatives like the CIA and Embassy staff are busy across the globe undermining Governments, pulling strings, spying, etc. America carries out false-flag operations, constantly plays both ends against the middle.
While it extols capitalism as a force for good it is promoting a shabby form of economic elitism where a few Oligarchs get all the riches and the majority of the world’s people get shafted. It allows its Corporations to destroy the environment while it attacks foreign corporations (B.P.) with gusto. It make mega-bucks from making and selling armaments to anyone with the money while it talks about crushing terrorism (of which it is the major proponent).
It sets up trade deals which hugely advantage itself. It talks about having no subsidies while it employs them itself in its farming sector. I could go on!
Now that I’ve made a few points, I feel doubly sorry to have used the photograph above. The wolf was the wrong animal to choose.
But what animal is there that properly resembles the U.S.?
None that I can think of. Perhaps it is a composite of a snake, a vulture, a chameleon and a leech?
Any ideas?

A very precise..description David – thank you so much
..showing that ‘America’ hasn’t the least idea of how a decent life has to be lived ,,beyond it’s hollow skull of opportunism.
=======
what animal ?
“Perhaps it is a composite of a snake, a vulture, a chameleon and a leech?”
Maybe this ‘animal’ has been GM manipulatet animal David – ‘we’(the Americans) takes the good ‘character’s from the different beings and assembles it to our best abilities. – the only thing ‘we’ DO NOT NEED to transfer is the inner (soul) parts which define the will and decency of a normal nature-created animal. Which also explains why ‘we’ haven’t any idea – now – of what to do..

Opportunism is the right word, John. That is the best word to describe most Americans. They are opportunists of the highest caliber.
When they haven’t got someone to kill or exploit, they just don’t know what to do!

Information leaking out is perhaps the most dangerous threat to these creatures that care not that they foul their own nest as long as it is down wind. Ollie North popularized paper shredders and he went on to have a popular career after that little stressful moment of illegal arms sales to our enemies, massacres, hostages, cash money and girlfriends linking daddy Bush, CIA, Cocaine and our power grab game in Central America and the ME. Information was shredded, nothing to see here!
Young people of conscience like Bradley Manning all of 23 years old. Being treated under the harshest sentence “of the law” and they haven’t even charged him yet or proven anything. Now they will try to get Assange into the American prison system – I don’t say Justice system. For not even being American, an Australian and yet he was doing something very American: promoting free speech and freedom of information and the right of people to know what their paid employees are doing on the dime of the people, with their dimes. We should be making Assange an honorary American in the best sense of the word. There is a long tradition of people fighting for the rights of people in this Country.

Grace, what they will try to do to Assange is a measure of the American beast.
Jeff, Melville was right. But he couldn’t added greedy, duplicitous and cruel to his list of adjectives.

Man has not always been this way. Greedy, duplicitous, ferocious. My memory is a little sketchy so don’t quote me on this stuff.
Our behavior, and the social ills it causes, can be traced back to the invention of money. Ancient Egypt I think. The color of gold resembled the sun, the sun was thought to be a god, after a while people decided it was worth trading for. Eventually we ended up with a gold standard economy.
It is believed that before the invention of money the richest, and wisest men were the ones with the fewest possessions. During this period humans were not the plunderers they are now, they didn’t need to be. Because personnel possessions had no value they were quite happy to share.
Blame it all on money. Do away with it, and we’ll almost be where we need to be.

The world is addicted to money, nowayout. And to killing. I don’t think there is any cure.
Cheers.

Why indeed, nowayout. When I first got the idea I was very excited. I was even impressed when we got 17 members. I’ve heard nothing from most of them ever since.
It’s seems that people just don’t want to be involved no matter what I do to try to enthuse them. They talk the talk but they don’t walk the walk.
I guess I’m somewhat disillusioned at the moment. Failure is not something I’m good at!
I hear ya. You haven’t failed yet. You’ve only just begun. Hang in there.
To describe dedicating oneself to a cause such as this as difficult would be an extreme understatement. Each and every one of us is struggling with the desire on one hand to do something about it, and on the other hand with the feeling of why bother. This struggle has us all, particularly in the US, locked into a state of immobility. From the perspective of a US citizen, I can tell you that this struggle is akin to paralysis. Being a citizen outside the US it’s likely that you can’t quite fully appreciate the position we are in. It has nothing to do with indoctrination, it has everything to do with fear. The potential repercussions of involving oneself in something of this nature are quite serious. Loss of friendship, family, job, community, life, and liberty just to name a few. To talk about the necessity to risk these things, is one thing, to actually go through with it is another. You know what the US government is capable of, and so do we. Some will admit it, some won’t, but most are aware whether they admit it or not. Enough for now.

Your words are wise, nowayout. It is hard for me to appreciate what’s happening over there although I did live in Canada for three years and have traveled extensively in the States.
I’ll continue with PEACE for another few weeks and see what happens. I can’t clap with one hand!

David, giving up is just not an option. There are many layers to ths (Americanisation problem) if you will. As an American citizen I feel our country, ideals ect. has been subverted by, what shall we call it?, the powers that be. Many realise as citizens our voice in matters of state are a joke. Day by day our dollars buy less. It’s OK, people are thinking, things will happen, maybe just not soon enough. Peace!

Nowayout probably identified the problem fairly accurately, 76-water. It takes a lot of courage to stand up and be counted especially when you are surrounded by people who don’t really understand what is going on or who don’t want to.
I thought for a few days that the Movement was going to take off then it seemed to hit a brick wall. People disappeared and no new members came.
Anyway, we’ll continue on for a few weeks and keep our fingers crossed. As someone said on ICH people won’t do or join anything until they are starving!

The political and the personal. The Global and your neighborhood. While focusing on American hegemony many didn’t notice the missile that launched off the coast of Los Angeles from a Chinese submarine – to show that they could. I am just saying America has its head up its backside while its debt holder is coming to collect. It didn’t have to sell itself, it could have taxed the wealthiest 1% a mere 10% of their wealth portfolio and we would not be a debtor nation, but no the fat asses who want to cut breakfast to poor children and medicare to people in wheelchairs. They are killers. People die because of their cold hearted decisions. People just curl up and die, just like in feudal times. And that is fine with our debt collector because Beijing has air that is advised not to breathe and at least a billion extra souls.
It is all very complicated. I think America needs to come home and get itself together and that would be the best thing for the World. Yanks go home! was also very close to the solution. Standing with the people in Wisconsin and hopefully it will keep taking off here as people come out and fight for what is left of what we have. If we can turn into a real democracy, one that actually includes everyone this time; blacks, natives, women, asians, etc. One human race one democracy for one people. It would be something we never had and yet it would be the best of what we ever had and we could become an innovative nation again. This would be our best defense against any invasions!
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I know because of my experience with joining groups, joining things can bring out conflicting feelings. Maybe this touches something larger and that is the fact that as an American I assume that ever email and post I make is monitored. Joining something called Anti American that in the 1950′s they blacklisted peoples’s careers and lives for being on the Un American list is getting all too real. I hate to say that, its like it gives them power. So, peoples decisons are personal, but it is good that it probably started a process within them. It is part of these times and deciding where one stands.

Great comment, Grace. We who see know what the problems are and the solutions but we don’t have any power. It is held by those with money and power who won’t give it up no matter what we do or say.
Revolution may be the only way!

Grace, the nail has been hit on the head, and you have wielded the hammer.
The most frightening aspect is how the American government no longer bothers making any pretense of observing its once-sacred Constitution any longer. Our rights are being stripped by the day here, and no end is in sight.
Boy Scouts and even Girl Scouts are now being trained by certain U.S, government programs to be prepared to fight veterans upon their return home, if those veterans happen to have a problem with the way the U.S. government denies them benefits or forces them to murder women and children.
Obama has now gotten his wish for a civilian military force, brainwashed into believing it is serving the greater good when in fact its sole purpose is to keep unruly protestors in check if the people finally decide to revolt.
These are just a couple of the frightening things happening here in the States. Obama has proven himself anything but a hero of the people. Not that its kept much of a secret anymore that he’s merely a figurehead for the corporate oligarchy. That, I believe, is the most disturbing thing. After so many decades of apple pie, the Constitution, George Washington, and all the other things they at least pushed to make us believe we’re actually living in a true democracy, they aren’t even bothering anymore. This is a government finally confident that it has its subjects satisfactorily beaten down. Nonetheless, they know the seeds of revolution are there, and getting stronger by the month. The recent heroic uprisings in the Middle East can only reinforce their resolve to strangle us here in the U.S. The cameras are being installed everywhere. ID chips are being implanted into brainwashed (or brainless) volunteers who are led to believe its to protect them from terrorists.
The next ten to fifteen years in the United States will be grisly, I fear, as the corporate rulers and their political puppets begin their final advance on completely removing the last vestiges of freedom from the American people, and, ultimately, the rest of the planet they mean to control. They intend mass genocide on us, reducing the Earth’s population to 500 million (ideally), in which those not part of the ruling class will find themselves to be nothing more than human livestock; worker bees. Did you know the U.N. has voted China’s brutal dictatorial government as the world’s ideal for ten years running? The U.N. is not at all some peacekeeping league of nations you might think it is.
Please understand that these are things that are true, these plans the United Nations, Council on Foreign Relations and the Zionists harbor. They have been stated in the Project for the New American Century by the same class of evildoers that have been governing us for decades. I beseech everyone who reads my apologetically long rant here to watch these videos, which I posted links for in another thread here on David’s site.

World War III, we always believed, would be fought by two Superpowers. It won’t. It will be fought by us, for the right to exist.
Beautifully written. I wish I could create very cool prose like that. I just read your post on The An Empire of Lies. in fact I posted there. Here’s my little take for whatever it is worth:
Heh, I think that this is just some more of the same old. Just so everyone can know THE MEDIA ARE STENOGRAPHERS FOR THE POWERS THAT BE AND THE CORPORATIONS. WAKE THE FU#K UP. If a corporate journalist would go against the status quo they would just be fired and a “new stupid puppet” would be brought in to replace them. They (ALL THE MAIN STREAM JOURNALIST) can not be independent, even if they wanted to. Do you think disney is going to say something negative about their defense contracts or products made in slave conditions China. Wake the fu#k up. You can not believe ANYTHING they tell us. Wake the fu#k up.
P.S. I’m down with you. But what Up with Karen?
