Friends, I have included a link to a NGO which shows that Israel has sent three plane loads of crowd control systems to Mubarak. These systems probably involved gases of various kinds and potency.
This, combined with the attacks by pro-Mubarak flunkies on the protesters in Tahir Square, suggest to me that forces who don’t want any change in Egypt are joining together to prevent the deposing of Mubarak from occurring.
Who are these forces, you ask? The Forces are the U.S., Israel, Mubarak and his henchmen and, behind the scenes, the Egyptian Army which doesn’t want to lose its 1.3 billion dollar armament gift from the Americans each year, the same Army that recently told the protesters to, ‘Go home’.
And I just received an email from Bruce who reports that Blair described Mubarak as “Immensely courageous and a force for good.” So perhaps we can add Britain to the Mubarak Forces as well. And in Europe, there are other nations whose oligarchs are watching the decline of the Egyptian share market with alarm and wish the demonstrators would just disappear so their shares will recover!
The situation in Egypt is clearly showing how the world is largely being run by America and its reprehensible allies and Obama’s urging of ‘peaceful transition’ is code for ‘let’s get rid of the protesters and hasten slowly, give Mubarak a chance to organize things with a little help from his friends’.
Friends, I am so sickened by what I see, words almost fail me.
We, the little people, are being ignored by our Governments and we are forced to watch while America (working with a few other greedy nations) carves up the world for its own advantage and that of oligarchs everywhere.
America is the villain and it no longer bothers to hide it so sure is it that it has the world caught in its greedy web.
And the only people who can topple the Evil American Empire, the Americans, are too busy making excuses for why they can do nothing other than complain.
The world saw what happened when the German nation decided it should control the world. The same outcome will eventuate if Big Brother America gets control of the world: fascism incorporated.
To all those Americans who contribute to this blog and deplore what their country has become, I offer my condolences. But that won’t change anything.
Action is required not excuses, action like that undertaken by the Egyptians who are dying in the streets to get some freedoms and rights from their American-supported despot!
P.S. Actions could include paying no tax, withdrawing money from financial institutions, setting up communes, protesting, boycotting, rubbishing the rich, ignoring the MSM, refusing to join the American Army, treating politicians as parasites, booing the President, refusing to hang or carry the American flag, marching, having sit-ins, forming political groups, selling shares, wearing DOWN WITH AMERICAN IMPERIALISM t-shirts, setting up rallies, etc.
What more can I do other than to suggest? You can lead elephants and donkeys to water but…

Going back into history, the world has always been an evil place. Governments all over the world have been and still are filled with cheats, liars, thieves, opportunists and more. Look at the Palestinian plight; do the western governments care? No, they could not care less. Even the PA is in the pockets of US and Israel. Democracy is a joke to keep us happy and let us think we are in control. I do not see a way out of this quagmire the new world order has created.
I appreciate your posts.

Not in America, Gazza. It seems to be largely a protest-free zone!

America? Team America? Sounds like the Olympics….Though I get what yer saying, I think its a bit misleading to say that “America” is the villain here…what does that mean? It’s like when people in the States refer to America as “us”….our guys, our boys…Stop “U.S.” imperialism…the U.S. driven by arrogance etc…is trying to seize control of our world….what does that mean? It’s like when people say the government did 9-11…huh? my postman? The ruling elites are internationalists, they’re immune to nationalism and pledge allegiance to no “team” other than their own ruling class….they have homes in Manhattan, Aspen and Newport Beach as well as London, Switzerland, Paris, Amsterdam. They may shed a tear for old Ebbets Field, or maybe it’s Manchester United or whatever….but they’re globalists, the world is largely being run by wealthy globalists…
No offense intended, just felt the need to comment….I enjoy the blog…keep up the good work.

Well, the other day I had someone trying to convince me that Jews were running the world. Now, b deal, you assure me that wealthy globalists run the world.
And here I thought that the U.S. with its huge army and military bases every which place, and its penchant for endless war, and its lucrative manufacture and sale of arms, and its support for despots and capitalists, ran the world. Fair dinkum, it’s enough to make a bloke turn to drink.
Will the people who are running the world please put their hands up?

How does this sound? The US, with the help of rogue US corporations, a rogue Pentagon, CIA,FBI, and the rogue Military Industrial Complex; all assisted by a team of sociopaths and their followers and those International bankers and trillionaires have (almost…because the word still gives us hope?)) taken over the world?
Obomber, in a speech before he was elected ( of Course) said all sorts of things. I think he mentioned about how disturbed he was about CONTRACTORS doing the job of American Service People.Well then, Who better to hire to do the US dirty work, keep Obusha’s hands clean but Blackwater/Ze to help the Pro Mubarak murderous mobs? That is why Blackwater is not only thriving but helping to cover for any US Imperialism. It is all smoke and mirrors coming from DC a big game of “Good Cop Bad Cop”. : ( It sucks being an American! It sucks even worse to be a poor American. We have the largest population of people in jail on Earth AND to make matters worse we claim to have the most “Freedoms” on Earth. How is that for hypocrisy?

Much of the US probably can’t find Egypt on a map and many more simply don’t care about what is happening if it isn’t a “reality” TV program.
We have been conditioned and trained to be quiet and obedient and to trust all authority.
Conditions will have to get much worse here before more than a few, like the tea party, take to the streets and demand change.

The Federal Govt pays me my income. I am very grateful. I give thanks and say a prayer that all who are suffering, may they get this help they need. It is not alot of money, but it makes a world of difference to me. I suffered and fought for many years for this status. Partly a physical injury, partly PTSD that just happens to intertwine with stories of our government in the news. Therefore, it feels like a political act to receive my income from the Federal Govt. I was just approved this week, so it is brand new. The revolution has only begun.

Pacifica Free Speech Radio plays accounts from the ground and various scholars throughout the day from Egypt. Having been to Tahrir Square myself and met many honorable Egyptian people, I have been in awe of the strength of their community and committment to what is right – all non violently and even lovingly.
I am absolutely disgusted with my American Govt. and their moral high ground as they pay, with our American Federal Tax Dollars, Mubarak’s military and collude with the death/ spy machine that is Israel.
Hillary and all the kajjal around her eyes won’t give her any street cred(ibility) in Egypt.

Yeah, behind the scenes, the U.S. has its dirty fingers all over the process, AmeriKa. It can’t help itself.
Thanks for the link. If you put the U.S. Generals and the Israeli Generals together, they wouldn’t have enough intellectual energy to power a 25 watt light bulb!

Many of you may not like this and call me a traitor but 1 year ago my wife and I retired and moved to Ecuador with all our belongings and two cats. I quite frankly would suggest that if any of you can move to another country get out now while the gettin’s good. Yes I have two daughters and 6 grand children still in the US. If they want to stay and ride it out they can that is there choice.
The basic problem with Americans is that they are so used to their “freedoms” that they dont realize how they are slowing being taken away.
We are very happy here in Ecuador a robust 3rd world country that gives free health care to all its citizens, has little or no standing Army, is “way “greener” that the US, is trying to ween itself off oil and has accepted millions of dollars from European nations to not drill in its oil fields. When the current president Rafael Correa took office he told the US navy to get the F out of his country.
How many of you think watching the Super Bowl tomorrow is more important than knowing what is happening in Eygypt? Most of you?? I thought so.
I am sick of what my country has become ( I am still a US citizen) but my eyes well up in tears of pride when I realize how the concept of democracy which our forefathers fought for and created is and has given so many people the hope and freedom that they deserve. So while we have failed to keep the bright light of Democracy shining on the hill in America it is a great feeling to know that it is alive and well in the hearts and minds of all other oppressed people and while the Founding Fathers would be greatly saddened to see what has happened to their once great country they would beam with pride at how the true meaning of democracy has inspired so many millions of people to rise up and overthrow the evil masters. If they were alive today they would be marching shoulder to shoulder with the Egyptian protesters. Let Freedom Ring and Long Live Democracy

You’re not a traitor, Bill.
The traitors are those who have corrupted your country, thrown away all its values, turned it into a force for evil while screwing its citizens at every opportunity. Look in the White House, the Pentagon, the State Department if you want to find the traitors.
Look also in the Corporations, the MSM, the Jewish Lobby, there you’ll find many more traitors who, for a dollar, would sell their own mother!
What you’ve done, Bill, is what many Americans on this forum have wanted to do. Good on you, my friend. I salute you!

Humanist, I see myself as more a world citizen than an Australian. Being part of the old school, I don’t buy things unless I can pay cash but the world has moved on since those days.
I have no experience with finance companies so I can’t offer any useful advice. There are legal entities that will give free advice to folk like you. Check the phone book or one of the major charities or Community Centres.
Good luck!

thanks david. australia is a name for a piece of land. i only mentioned it to say that we seem to share that land. i’m with you. i’ve been calling myself a global village idiot since the early 70′s and don’t believe in the idea of ‘nation-state’.(hence the moniker) as to your advice; apparently i’m not on the street yet so i’m not eligible for community centre help. i really need to speak to someone who has defaulted, and been through the process, to help me make the choice.
thanks for the luck……david can slay goliath!

David,
I certainly hope the Egyptians don’t allow the US to co-op their revolution by installing Suleiman as “interim leader.” If the Egyptians fall for this, then I guess they truly aren’t ready for democracy then – which requires the utmost vigilance. Going from Mubarak to Suleiman is like going from Dracula to the Mummy. Suleiman will sign documents and smile for photo-ops with opposition leaders in front of the international media, and then precede to hunt them down over the next several months, and come September, there won’t be much of an opposition left. Don’ t they know they’re walking into a trap? Why would they even bother meeting with this sociopath. He should be exiled along with Mubarak.

in reply to Rc. i think there is an attempt at astroturfing (fake grassroots) going on here, but i think the the egyptian people are well educated and hopefully will not let it happen. the strongest weapon that the PTB have, outside of organised state violence is co-opting. they did it to the feminist, gay, punk, name your resistance movement.
to david: the legal aid NT have no-one on staff to answer my questions. i’ve tried that one already. they are too busy dealing with the consequences of the intervention. thanks anyway david.

Has America actually kept its mouth shut about Democracy in the ME? Not hoping the protesters choose our wonderful democracy? Maybe because of our 30 year involvement with no peep of democracy? Just a stable “president” for 30 years.
It’s actually a shame. America has a wonderful system that has been gutted for at least the past 30 years as well. One of the componenents of our system that still works and yet is continually on the chopping block is Social Security. It is a safety net for people who get sick and can’t work. It is one of the marks of our great society. People pay into it while they work and then if tragedy befalls, you are covered. Something like that in Egyptian society would bring a great relief to many.
How ironic if Egyptian people set up an uncorrupted democratic system. Based on local communities governing, representing and speaking for themselves. With a central system that ensures lawfulness for the sake of the people.

‘An uncorrupted democratic system.’ Is there such a thing, Grace?
But I agree it would be ironic if the Egyptians showed the U.S. how it should be done!
