Friends, this morning Reuters carried an article the headline of which was:
U.S. says Libya has spoken, Gaddafi must leave now!
I seem to remember that a few years ago the U.S. was welcoming Gaddafi back into the international community and praising him for giving up WMDs. I seem to also remember the U.S. up until recently was also praising Mubarak of Egypt and Ben Ali from Tunisia, etc.
It seems that where America is concerned when you’re hot you’re hot and, voila, if you step out of line, next minute you’re not! It changes its alliances like its leaders change their underwear!
One minute the U.S. is enthusiastically supporting brutal despots and tyrannical Kings, then, next minute, it completely reverses its policy and turns against them and, hypocritically, extols the virtues of democracy.
In this instance, not only has the U.S. turned against Gaddafi and Mubarak and Ben Ali but it has also imposed unilateral sanctions on oil-rich Libya and has frozen assets belonging to Gaddafi and his family and is considering other options which, knowing America, could involve military action (setting up no-fly zones, etc).
Reuters also reports that Obama, in a call to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said Gaddafi had lost his legitimacy and needed to go. I guess it could be argued that Obama has also lost his legitimacy and it follows that he should go too. That is extremely unlikely.
What comes out of this is that America is acting as if it is already running the world. Its arrogance is breathtaking. Who gave America the right to issue demands to other nations? Who gave America the right to impose sanctions on another nation? Who gave America the right to veto U.N. Resolutions? Who gave America the right to run around the world invading and occupying other countries and taking their resources? Who gave America the right to allow the brutal Israeli Regime to occupy and oppress the Palestinians for 44 years? Who gave America the right to impose its unjust, exploitative capitalist system upon the world? The question are endless!
The answer to these questions is: NO ONE!
America, after WW2, just appointed itself as the Leader of the West and controller of the U.N.. No vote was held by world citizens. It then began its imperial assault on the world, starting with Korea then Vietnam. Since then it has engaged in many wars, killed millions of people, and has placed many military bases all over the world. I’ve seen a figure of more than 1,000 if you take into account actual bases and bases where it has access.
As it has expanded, it has added many hideous dimensions to its warmongering. These include dropping atomic bombs on civilians, torture, rendition, caging prisoners indefinitely, using napalm, depleted uranium and cluster bombs, indiscriminate killing of civilians using missiles and drones, etc. Currently, it is also punishing dissenters among its own citizens and is trying to stifle free speech.
The world needs corrupt, erratic and cruel American leadership like a hole in the head. We need to stop its further expansion into the Middle East. We need to stop its grab for total power and its grab for scarce resources belonging to others.
We need to get rid of America’s unjust capitalist system and its Gang of Oligarchs who are plundering the world (I saw an article this morning that one of its Oligarchs, Buffet, has 38 billion dollars to invest – it is obscene that one man should have so much wealth while other Americans starve or are homeless).
Let’s give America a miss. Let’s revolt against its evil leadership and, together, create a more just, war-free world.

UPDATE: “Those who slaughter civilians will be held personally accountable,” U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice told the U.N. Council after the vote to impose U.N. sanctions on Gaddafi. Speaking to reporters later, she praised the council’s “unity of purpose.”
This is the same Ambassador who, a few days ago, used her one vote to veto the Resolution passed by 122 nations condemning Israel’s settlement building. Profound hypocrisy never worries America!
Is it not yet obvious Obama is just a puppet. Hell, even I can tell America has no policy of its own, but only what is dictated through its so called leaders.

Yes, the leaders behind the Leaders, the Corporations, the Oligarchs, Corrupt Politicians, the War Lobby, the Jewish Lobby, the MSM Barons, the Religious Fundamentalists, etc, they are running the show, 76-water.

With America’s “leaders” reputation of being pathological liars, Anybody that believes anything out of America’s government, needs their head examined. American politicians don’t know what “truth” is, they lie even when they don’t have to, like it’s their job. Obomber is more than a puppet, he’s a Mossad operative, Israel owns America.

Sadly, the answer to your question, “Who gave America the right to…” would be the thousands of nuclear weapons my government has pointed at everybody. As Paul Atredies said in “Dune,” “He who can destroy a thing, controls a thing.”
Although I’m an American, my eyes are open and are seeing more than they care to. Don’t hate me, hate my government and the politicians who claim to represent me. The American Government fancies itself as being a gigantic Michael Corleone, making its own citizenry and those of other nations “an offer they can’t refuse.”

It makes sense now, when I read that when Obama was considering his options for Libya, his second option after working together with everybody (singing kumbaya), was that he would consider Unilateral action. That was what Iraq was!

You are aware of course that the evil empire is a relatively small number of uber elites whom are generations of satanists? I saw that you stated you are an avowed athiest, but please understand that these evil creatures worship, believe, and are dedicated to the fallen angel Lucifer. They have an agenda, and it’s NOT about money, though it IS all about power. This small group of maniacs believe the writings of Albert Pike (look for The Three World Wars). They’re satanists, occultists, and they gather millions of minions (most are clueless) through the masonic orders. Don’t ignore this crucial piece of the puzzle. Lisa, most people on this earth, regardless of their beliefs or lack thereof, would love to experience peace. But peace is nowhere and chaos is everywhere. It doesn’t have to be this way.
We humans can set up any kind of world we want but the Oligarchs and the Warmongers are determined to retain the status quo which richly rewards their insatiable greed for wealth and power.
It’s time these parasites were removed, banished!
