“Baaaaaaaaaaaaahhh! Surprise, surprise!”

Friends, after decades of pretense, the U.S., during the unrest in the Middle East, has finally been revealed, shown its true colours, its real nature.

Yes, after decades of pretending to be the champion of democracy, of human rights, of decency, of caring, the U.S. has shown itself to be a wolf similar in stripe to Hitler.

Actually, to be fair to wolves, the U.S. is actually much worse than a wolf because a wolf doesn’t bother with pretense. It is what it is. Unlike America, it lives by a code and is true to that code. It kills when it is hungry but it’s not greedy. It doesn’t hoard. It doesn’t tell lies. It doesn’t seek to control or manipulate all other wolves or their territories.

The U.S. on the other hand wears its sheep’s clothing so that its head is almost constantly hidden. It bleats when it has to, adopts sheep-like behavior, talks about peace on earth, lions laying with lambs.

But while it talks about peace and justice, it engages in endless wars and builds military bases everywhere and uses hideous weapons. While it talks about democracy, it supports a cabal of brutal despots. While it claims to be shaping a better world it is slaughtering innocent civilians, torturing, rendering, destroying.

While it criticizes China for human rights abuses and imperialism in Tibet, it engages in all manner of invasions and occupations in oil-rich countries and the installation of puppet governments which it controls.

Friend today. Enemy tomorrow. Expediency rules supreme in America!

Friends, this morning Reuters carried an article the headline of which was:

U.S. says Libya has spoken, Gaddafi must leave now!

I seem to remember that a few years ago the U.S. was welcoming Gaddafi back into the international community and praising him for giving up WMDs. I seem to also remember the U.S. up until recently was also praising Mubarak of Egypt and Ben Ali from Tunisia, etc.

It seems that where America is concerned when you’re hot you’re hot and, voila, if you step out of line, next minute you’re not! It changes its alliances like its leaders change their underwear!

One minute the U.S. is enthusiastically supporting brutal despots and tyrannical Kings, then, next minute, it completely reverses its policy and turns against them and, hypocritically, extols the virtues of democracy.

In this instance, not only has the U.S. turned against Gaddafi and Mubarak and Ben Ali but it has also imposed unilateral sanctions on oil-rich Libya and has frozen assets belonging to Gaddafi and his family and is considering other options which, knowing America, could involve military action (setting up no-fly zones, etc).

Reuters also reports that Obama, in a call to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said Gaddafi had lost his legitimacy and needed to go. I guess it could be argued that Obama has also lost his legitimacy and it follows that he should go too. That is extremely unlikely.

What comes out of this is that America is acting as if it is already running the world. Its arrogance is breathtaking. Who gave America the right to issue demands to other nations? Who gave America the right to impose sanctions on another nation? Who gave America the right to veto U.N. Resolutions? Who gave America the right to run around the world invading and occupying other countries and taking their resources? Who gave America the right to allow the brutal Israeli Regime to occupy and oppress the Palestinians for 44 years? Who gave America the right to impose its unjust, exploitative capitalist system upon the world? The question are endless!

The answer to these questions is: NO ONE!

Friends, this is just a quick post, one that addresses the points raised in a few comments about the name of the Movement (thanks go to Merritt, nowayout, Grace, etc).

At this early stage of the Movement, the name is not written in stone. It can be whatever we want it to be. However it must agree with the thrust of the Charter which seem to have general approval. It must also be catchy if possible, even clever and controversial.

What we are trying to do is to build a world Movement that opposes the rampant imperialism of the U.S. and its attempt to gain control of the world using military force so as to further advantage its capitalist system and to gain total military and economic power over all other nations.

The title Anti-American Empire Movement does spell out some of these things but not all of them while the letters AAEM don’t by themselves have much punch.

What we want a title that upsets the average American, that challenges their indoctrination,  perhaps even causes them to think about the many shortcomings of their warmongering country. We want a title that, in a few short, sharp words, shows Americans and the rest of the world’s people what we are about.

So, that said, I’ll throw the post open to everyone to contribute some titles. Put your thinking caps on!

Erecting the main symbol of American Culture!

Don’t you just love the predictable response of the U.S. Government to what’s going on in Libya?

Here we have the largest terrorist nation in the world, one that since Vietnam and Cambodia has killed more people than all other nations in the world combined, putting on its high and mighty face and leveling harsh criticism at Qaddafi who, compared to them, is like comparing Jack the Ripper with the Ghenghis Kan.

Yes, all options are being put on the table, Obomber says. I assume this means that invasion and occupation, a favorite American activity, is among them as well as carpet bombing which America, like Israel, relishes. It could possibly also include  ‘droning’ the stuffing out of Libya just as is happening in Pakistan or perhaps the Pentagon has some new fiendish weapons it wants to try out on innocent civilians (but don’t expect to hear about it).

This turmoil in the Middle East could just give the U.S. multiple opportunities to expand its imperialism bigtime. It could get control of Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Libya, and Yemen within a few months, get its soldiers on the ground in each one, build some more military bases, elect or appoint a few more puppet governments which will represent American interests, etc, really advance the American malignancy.

STOP HORRORS LIKE THIS.  JOIN PEACE TODAY!

Friends, those of you who know what PEACE is about (Prevent Empire America Controlling World – see Sidebar) and have already joined the Movement will be wondering just how it will all work. Let me make a few points:

- PEACE cannot work unless those who join it are prepared to take on the responsibilities and obligations that go with the movement. This is not a social club. It is a movement that is intended to make the world a better place by stopping the growth of the warmongering American Empire and reducing or negating its negative influence on the world (see photograph above). It will require real effort.

- That means that each member of the Movement will carry out the objectives described in the Charter to the best of their ability. Of course, no one will be supervising you or checking on you so that the success of the Movement mainly rests on your own initiative and motivation. Making the world a better place to live in for everyone will be your reward!

- Of course, members would like to hear about your activities and your successes and Dangerous Creation will be the hub around which such communication will flourish. I may set up a separate blog for PEACE in due course when I see whether we really take off or not. Of course, there is a limit to what I can do should we start to get thousands of members.

The Middle East is going up in flames!

Friends, the U.S. has vetoed a  United Nations Security Council resolution, sponsored by 122 nations, condemning Israeli settlement expansion. This is though building settlements on occupied territory is against International Law and though America has urged Israel to stop building them.

Once again, it has demonstrated America’s double-standards, its willingness to continuously sacrifice the long-suffering Palestinians to advantage its ‘little mate’ Israel, its brutal, warmongering proxy in the Middle East which is building settlements like crazy in East Jerusalem and the West Bank and throwing Palestinians into the street.

By using its veto, America has also demonstrated that it cares nothing about what is going on in the Middle East, not even the rising up of those in Arab Nations who are under the brutal oppression of Despots and Royal Tyrants supported and armed by America.

Nations like Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Libya, Yemen are on the boil. Citizens of these countries are being shot and seriously injured by the thugs who run them. But America just doesn’t care that its reputation in the region is already in tatters and, following this veto, likely to get worse. And why is this, you ask?

It can only be because, with its Fifth Fleet, with its military bases and missiles spread all over the region (and the world), America, nearly bankrupt, thinks that it is invincible, that it is supreme, that it has the situation under control and that, if any nation dare step out of line, it will send in its armies and crush any opposition.

“As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave her speech at George Washington University yesterday condemning governments that arrest protesters and do not allow free expression, 71-year-old Ray McGovern was grabbed from the audience in plain view of her by police and an unidentified official in plain clothes, brutalized and left bleeding in jail. She never paused speaking.

When Secretary Clinton began her speech, Mr. McGovern remained standing silently in the audience and turned his back. Mr. McGovern, a veteran Army officer who also worked as a C.I.A. analyst for 27 years, was wearing a Veterans for Peace t-shirt.

Blind-sided by security officers who pounced upon him, Mr. McGovern remarked, as he was hauled out the door, “So this is America?” Mr. McGovern is covered with bruises, lacerations and contusions inflicted in the assault.

Mr. McGovern is being represented by the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund (PCJF). “It is the ultimate definition of lip service that Secretary of State Clinton would be trumpeting the U.S. government’s supposed concerns for free speech rights and this man would be simultaneously brutalized and arrested for engaging in a peaceful act of dissent at her speech,” stated attorney Mara Verheyden-Hilliard of the PCJF.”

Friends, this incident demonstrates the farce that the Land of the Free has become. Nothing more needs to be said.

“By their works, ye shall know them!”

Friends, Reuters reported this morning on the situation in Bahrain where freedom protesters have clashed violently with the forces of the State both army and police.

Hillary doesn’t know whether to congratulate the smashing of the protest or to support the protesters. Such is the dilemma of the U.S. which has been trying to walk both sides of the street for many, many decades. So what Hillary is doing is to pat both sides on the back and hope the revolution goes away. Why is she doing this?

Because Bahrain is a key part of America’s power in the Middle East. Reuters reports that Bahrain is the island nation that has long been the base of the U.S. Fifth Fleet responsible for operations in the Gulf, the Arabian Sea and east Africa.

As such, the U.S. base coordinates more than 30 vessels, including aircraft carrier strike groups and nuclear submarines. The Fifth Fleet oversees 30,000 U.S. personnel across the region. Bahrain also bristles with missiles and anti-missiles, all pointed in the direction of Iran.

It’s a delicious irony, this situation. The U.S., that sincere promoter of democracy is having to contend with the instability that democracy brings. For so long it has kept quiet about the brutality of various regimes and Royal despots because they played along with America.  They did as they were told except for Saddam and look what happened to him and his country.

So what does the U.S. do now?

Friends, we need to choose an iconic symbol for our movement, something that most people can recognize and relate to, something that could be put on bumper stickers, flags, T-shirts, badges, correspondence, etc.

As well as these five, there is also the split face of the Statue of Liberty shown in the sidebar and the man in chains. Please think about these images and what they mean to you and what they could mean to others.

And if you have any other ideas as you surely will, please let me know.

Is it the final countdown?

Friends, the Israelis are in a tizz. Again.

They have been tracking an Iranian warship, a MK5 frigate and an accompanying supply vessel. These ‘two floating enemies of Israel and the U.S.’ are heading towards the Suez Canal!

Reach for your gas mask. Dig your nuclear-proof bunker. Pray to your God. Kiss your children.

Israel has called the move ‘provocative.’ The U.S. hasn’t got its knickers in a knot yet but I’m sure they’ll work on it.

It seems the Iranian warship is heading towards a Syrian port and plans to be there for a year or so. Syria and Israel are not good friends. Syria and Iran are. The plot thickens. Be still my heart!

Now Israel, like America, is paranoid about every other nation in the region and the world. Even Egypt is under suspicion now since Mubarak was defrocked.

Why is Israel paranoid? Well, although it is the fly in the regional ointment, it thinks it should be the winner of the region’s popularity contest. It can’t understand that bombing and destroying other nations and/or taking some of their land is seen by some Muslim nations as annoying, even provocative. Israel’s brutal treatment of the Palestinians since 1967 hasn’t helped things either.
