Are they paid for their journalistic intellect or their foxy looks?
Is this what proper news looks like?
Friends, as I was reading and commenting on ICH this morning, the thought came to me that the first step in changing the world would have to be to bring down the media empires. The rationale for this statement comes from my growing awareness of how much influence the media has on not only what we think but how we think.
The media is a powerful tool of indoctrination. In theory, it is supposed to be a source of news which is fact based, no more, no less. Journalists are supposed to be professional and meticulous in their inquiries about events and lay them out before us without bias for our consideration. This rarely happens these days, not since the media empires began to form.
Once there were 50 major Media Companies in the world. Now there are 6 huge, multi-billion dollar conglomerates which, some say, are owned or controlled by people of the Jewish faith. If this is the case, imagine the immense power that the owners of these 6 empires wield.
The fact is that the views people hold, the perception they get of the world, their grasp of the political, economic and social movements taking place in the world are all largely shaped by the media whether it comes via print, movies, or television.
Take Fox News for example.
Look at their so-called ‘experts’. They are, in the main, extreme right-wingers or neocons. No matter what issue is being discussed, they bring a right-wing perspective to it, all of it accompanied by incessant noise, flashing lights, little segments on health or country and western music, and, of course, a plethora of dazzling, busty blondes.
Fox News is not a news source at all. It is a giant indoctrination machine, one which encourages people to love capitalism, consumerism, Wall Street, America’s wars, free markets, God, patriotism, etc. It is not alone!
The Fox Organization reflects the ambitions and attitudes of its owner: Rupert Murdoch who, rumor has it is Jewish. In fact, there are claims that 90% of the world’s media is controlled by Jews which, if true, is very worrying. Because of the complex nature of media companies and their many affiliates, this is hard to substantiate. We could all be dancing to a Jewish capitalist agenda and not realize it.
Fortunately, there are other sources of news. The Internet for example. On ICH you can read opinion pieces written by informed, qualified people who would never get a job in the MSM. Never! Why?
The owners of the Media Empires have one thing in mind: that of making a profit. Therefore, they are going to promote things that bring them profit from advertising so they are clearly in bed with the corporations. They are also in bed with right-wing, capitalism-loving Governments. Of course, if they start attacking politicians or corruption in the political system, their journalists won’t get interviews or politicians won’t appear on their popular television programs so it’s an uneasy alliance.
And currently, the MSM is trying to convince us all that the GFC is over and it’s time to start spending again and buying shares even if we don’t have the money. Come in, sucker! It will also be interesting to see how the pro-America, pro-Israel MSM handles the reporting of the Egyptian unrest!
Yes, if we want to achieve change, first we must withdraw from the major source of mind-destroying indoctrination: the media.
We must learn to think about things ourselves and trust our own opinions rather than what we read or see in the media. We must boycott the media: stop buying papers and magazines, watching certain news programs, listening to certain shock-jocks.
We must cleanse ourselves of all media indoctrination before we can move forward!
P.S. And remember, not even movies are free from bias, especially Hollywood ones.
Thanks for featuring Faux Noise’s Bevy ‘O Blondes to show the direction that U.S. media is going in. I remember when we used to get our news from Walter Cronkite, Harry Reasoner, Huntley and Brinkley and McNeil/Lehrer. Now the babe factor is increasingly the order of the day. I recently saw a photo spread of Fox’s Megyn Kelly in a bikini and who can forget Bush the Lesser’s Press Secretary Dana Perino (also blonde) who showed herself during a press conference to be ignorant of the Cuban Missile Crisis! She now makes big bucks whoring for the neo-con party line on Fox. Big surprise. With corporate media mergers and the graphics heavy preference and short attention span of the population I don’t expect it to get better in the foreseeable future. The people have made their choice. Fox is a major source of news for many Americans. It is so bad that some of us find that we can get better news reporting and commentary from two comedy shows – “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report”.
My answer was to switch off cable TV. I get only three PBS TV channels from my local university that are being broadcast and they are free. I get some of my news from them although I simply cannot take the “News Hour” seriously anymore. It is blind to left of center news commentary and features the usual establishment suspects from the center-Right and Right. I rely on the Internet and websites such as this one, Al Jazeera, “Democracy Now” with Amy Goodman and sites like Common Dreams and, to a lesser extent, Democratic Underground. There are many others. Of course, if the Rethugs take over the government then we can really kiss any kind of alternative media goodbye and Megyn Kelly will be the Press Secretary for the next Republican president.

Bruce, thanks for your input. I no longer watch CNN which has gone right off the boil. I watch Fox News to see what the crazies are up to. I also watch the BBC and Al Jazzera and read all the articles on ICH.
Sky News in Australia is not as extreme as Fox News though it is very parochial and I don’t/can’t get Free to Air Australian television (this is no loss). Also there is SBS and ABC both produced in Australia and Government owned which provide some balanced reportage though both have a pro-Israel, pro-gay, pro-American bias.
Sometimes I think the less one knows about the world, the better!

Oh My, what a can of worms this is!!! Ask Helen Thomas about free speech in the media. There are even a few others who lost thier jobs for attempting to speak the truth. No, the masses must never hear the truth. We are lied to constantly to keep us in the dark and misinformed and even divided that we might fight each other instead of exposing the real culprits. Even on the internet one must be vigilent and careful as many alternative news sites are a fraud and owned by the corporations. I don’t see this hurdle being overcome peacefully.

Go to any of the blogs David that masquerade as being left wing, and they’re no better than Fox.
They all have one thing in common, most of the wankers that comment on them are in the main over educated wafflers and debate issues like they’re all sat around at the United Nations.
Little do these num nuts realise that Joe Blogs who cleans drains for the local greasy spoon has more insight into what is going on in the world, than these pseudo intellectual wafflers..
And don’t get me started about the feminist lefty pseudo intellectuals, they can and are able to connect all the wrongs in the world because men by nature and I’ll be polite, ‘Want to make love to them” They will tell more lies than George Bush, Tony Blair, and John Howard to achieve their goal.
My point? Tony Abbott and his coterie of used car salesman who past themselves off as politicians, are able to capture the vote of the Joe blogs out in the suburbs because a lot of them speak the language people can understand. This why Fox so is successful.
We don’t need to get rid of Fox, we need to start with our own so called movers and shakers and tell them Hello! We live on planet Earth. Not planet P.C.

I believe you’re correct that the Jews (Zionists) control and manipulate our information supply, the so-called “mainstream media”. This means they get to frame the narrative, i.e. decide what’s important and what’s not. The greatest example of the use of this power was the duping of America into a military invasion to seize authority in the Middle East, which is rapidly shaping up to become the worst event in American history.
Some curious people have explored this subject over the years and published their findings on the net. Google “zionist media” or similar phrases and it wouldn’t be long before you’re looking at more then enough evidence to convince a reasonable person that we’ve got a problem here.
We’re in a race today, between this information spreading and control of the Internet.

BillA, there’s plenty of information around if people want to find it so pleading ignorance is no excuse. The next move will be controlling the internet. I’m doing a course in smoke signals but it’s not as easy as I’d hoped. Reading it of a night time is very challenging!

Indeed David indeed. As well as getting rid of the patronising left, and the MSM, next should be the so called left wing progressive politicians. I sincerely hope, and I know the alternative is to hard to contemplate, but please be to God, they get rid of Keneally at the next election.
When she motioned that people in the western suburbs of Sydney should be spared the flood levy, keeping in mind it really as drafted, only effects the well off anyway, I nearly choked on my corn flakes. Talk about united we stand, divided we fall. Where do they get these people from?
My wife and I were travelling in the east just before the last election, the electronic media there was so biased against Gillard and the government it was breath taking. Is it any wonder they can and do get away with anything. A recent interview with Gillard and a gentleman from 3 AW a few weeks ago really showed where our media is headed in this country. The good Dr Goebbels could have only dreamt of a media, that could deliver them government with out one piece of crystal being broken.

Phil, I heard that interview, at least most of it. Some of these shock-jocks are a bit up themselves. Their audience,in the main, are the gullible and the poorly educated who they whip into a frenzy like their American counterparts.

He’s sooo right. All we have to do is think about it. It wasn’t so much the neocon gang and their PNAC principles, an AIPAC controlled Congress or even the bankers, Wall Street and the MIC – it was the “news” that really did it. It functioned as a propaganda machine that duped America into betting our farm on their desire for military dominance in the ME.
We did have a major tip-off something was very wrong before the invasion was launched, when Phil Donahue was fired for asking too many questions. While there are countless tentacles to this control, that particular one should have stood out like a sore thumb, and it should have inspired a revolt. But, what actually happened – guess what – the event was snuffed by the “news”. Surprise!
Now it’s more then a decade later … incalculable killing and destruction has already been wrought … far more is coming … millions of Americans are economically drained, not to mention a world suffering so badly … while we defend and fight for a relative handful of people at the top, who won the monopoly game of capitalism and now have all the money and power it buys.
When you think about the next decade and what’s to come under their rule, do you see a great victory, peace and prosperity, or are we looking at Big Time destruction and a real life Big Brother?
A question thoughtful people should be asking is: suppose we did want to revolt, exactly how would we do that? History has given us truly great people, and it just makes sense that some exist among us today. BUT, if every time a Phil Donahue stands up, he gets knocked down, then how could anyone lead the opposition?
I don’t know the answer to that question, other then to point to the Internet and hope some genius figures out how to use it as an effective organizational tool before I do (fwiw, I am working on this problem as a software developer).
Thoughtful people should check (Google) their trusted “news” sources to see if they are Zionist controlled. It’s easy enough with Google to read what people who have spent time researching this question have to say, and the evidence they submit. For instance, search “murdoch zionist”. Then, with this knowledge, either ignore or watch knowing that it’s propaganda, not “news” as you expected (and trusted, thinking “news” is a public trust).
We’re not without representation though, thanks to what the Internet provides today, but until it eats the TV, it’s a minor player in the “news” dept. Nevertheless, there are some really good alternate news websites that have been developed over the years. Here’s a list of some I try to follow, time permitting.
