Gaza today!
Gaza massacre!
Friends, for many decades the world has looked to the U.S. to help bring about a solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. For many years the U.S. has said one thing then done the opposite.
The U.S. has pretended to be an honest broker while, behind the scenes, it has done everything it can to help imperial Israel to get rid of the Palestinians and has done everything it can to ensure the Palestinians get nothing!
And while this has been happening, the other major Western nations have remained largely silent while this travesty of justice has taken place, taking their lead from the U.S., that wondrous nation that extols the virtues of freedom, human rights and democracy ( but not for the Palestinians or anyone else who stands in the road of their ambition to control the world).
The great news today is that Argentina has followed Brazil in recognizing Palestine as, “A free and independent state.” Brazil previously announced that it would recognize the, “Legitimate aspiration of the Palestinian people for a secure, united, democratic and economically viable state co-existing peacefully with Israel”.
Friends, the stranglehold by the U.S. and the West on the Palestinians has been broken.
And it took two South American nations to do it while the Western Nations continue to demonstrate their shallowness, their bias, their lack of courage and morality, their failure to uphold International Law, their subservience to Israel and the U.S., two of the most brutal rogue regimes in the modern world.
Israel still has what’s left of the Palestinians under occupation or under siege. It is still starving them, brutalizing them, building settlements on their land, etc. And the U.S. is still offering them bribes to stop building illegal settlements for a few months, bribesĀ like state-of-the-art war planes worth billions.
Hopefully, more nations around the world will stand up for what is right, will spit in the face of the U.S. and its partners in crime by recognizing the Palestinians and their right to have their own State. Perhaps they will also censure Israel for illegally getting nukes with U.S. help. Perhaps they will also censure the U.S. for its endless war strategy against Muslim nations.
Perhaps a large collection of these nations will use their voting rights in the U.N. and reject the right of the U.S. to veto anything that is even vaguely critical of Israel, a country which, like the U.S., has turned war crimes into an art form.
So today is a good news day. Hopefully this beginning will gather momentum and lead towards justice being accorded to the innocents and severe punishment for the wrongdoers!

You are a good person with a good heart. Thank you for giving a voice to the oppressed against the powerful elite.
I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart and know that I will always wish well for you and your loved ones.

Ali, I hate injustice. I have watched the U.S./Israeli injustice for a decade and I have railed against it. I’m just so happy that some nations have found their consciences!

Thank you, thank you!!! I am so happy you posted this. I want the U N to also recognize a Palistinian State according to 1967 borders. And end this BS. Soon maybe other nations will step up to the plate and make it a world wide recognition. Hooray!!! Party!!! You are so right about the U S saying one thing and doing another. Peace In Our Time!!

I hope we will experience peace in our time, 76-water. It would make a nice change but I’m not holding my breath.

That is fantastic news that lifts my soul. Not a moment too soon with the anniversary of Operation Cast Lead coming. Shame on North America and their partners in crime, Israel. Yay Argentina y Brazil! Yay South of the Border! Everybody, I recommend Oliver Stones movie on the subject. Bless each Palestinian heart with a lasting hope and joy.

This is fantastic feel-good news, I really think the whole zionist project has reached a tipping point, and as I’m feeling optomistic, why not go back to the UN partition wasn’t it 56/44?
I have wanted justice for Palestine since the new millenium, I know I came late but I wanted to believe that the people of the world could effect a change in the cruel, crude domination of Palestine and its’ peoples and I know I’ll live to see justice.
The Walt & Meirsheimer(?) report, ’06 Lebanon & ’08 Gaza & ’10 Marmara have tipped the balance and the nothing the zionists can do because the genie is definately out of the bottle and posted on the web.

I saluate every nation recognizes Palestine, however, I doubt any of the recognition will change anything. Israelis and their Zionist regime are very arrrogant because they know very well they control US government and they got cart blanch from the right wing Christian to do whatever they like. Israel is a nation without future. This note is addressed to Ali. Please read the Quran Surat 17 Al-Isra’. God tells the truth about the sons of Israel. Their end is nearing. Of course they will never go down alone. They will take the big empire down with them. It’s very unfortunate because I know the American people are very nice people, however, they are grown adjusted to the way of the media tells them to do.

Wow David, you just made my DECADE. That is Great News!God bless Brazil and anyone who follows in her footsteps. Funny though because Palestine was never dissolved. It was simply supplanted.
I haven’t been paying too much attention of late as the news becomes depressing and I have to vacate for small periods. But this is just what I needed to reinforce my faith in humanity. It may only be symbolic, but it symbolizes what the world is facing. The fraud and fiction known as Israel has been exposed. The real semites v. the fake semites. Brazil stand with truth.

And Turkey sent them firefighters, after Israel killed its finest in the flotilla. What a warm-hearted religion Islam is. Israel can no longer argue so childishly that it’s all alone in a sea of enemies. Uh, oh. If the firefighters make nonsense of its core belief, then they are, by definition, terrorists …

Yes, 1/3 of all Jews live in Israel, and 1/3 in the USA, which is their penal colony. If I were younger, I would gladly move to Central or South America.

Grace, your joy is catching!
Kate, the Palestinians have been waiting since 1947 and have been under occupation since 1967. Unfortunately, the so-called Peace Process is now dead as must be Palestinian hopes for their State!
Beebolt, thanks for your comment. It is surrounded with mystery.
Amerika, I understand your need to revive your spirits entirely. I have to do the same thing.
Bob, during my many travels I have found Muslims to be kindly and generous. My visit to Israel found the opposite!
Lilac, it’s great that the South Americans are leading the way and showing up the “West.”

David I have welcomed the news of the Latin American countries have declared their recognition of Palestine. I thought about trying to organise a congratulatory letter to some of the newspapers in those countries to let them know they have support from outside their country. The trouble is they speak Spanish & Portuguese & I don’t know of any English speaking newspapers. Is there anyone among the members of the forum that could organise a letter of support for those governments which we could all sign. Perhaps its somethign that Avaaz might run with. Whatever way it happens I’d like to see a groundswell of support from other countries worldwide so the the US gets the message that they are out of step with the world’s majority.

Unfortunately, Sandgroper, the U.S. these days doesn’t give a stuff what the rest of the world thinks. It, like the Israelis, lives in a deranged state of thinking it is ‘exceptional’, that it was born to ‘rule the world,’ that it is ‘superior.’
Names on a list mean nothing to it, even if there were 6 billion names.
