South American Nations Show The Way!

Gaza today!

Gaza massacre!

Friends, for many decades the world has looked to the U.S. to help bring about a solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. For many years the U.S. has said one thing then done the opposite.

The U.S. has pretended to be an honest broker while, behind the scenes, it has done everything it can to help imperial Israel to get rid of the Palestinians and has done everything it can to ensure the Palestinians get nothing!

And while this has been happening, the other major Western nations have remained largely silent while this travesty of justice has taken place, taking their lead from the U.S., that wondrous nation that extols the virtues of freedom, human rights and democracy ( but not for the Palestinians or anyone else who stands in the road of their ambition to control the world).

The great news today is that Argentina has followed Brazil in recognizing Palestine as, “A free and independent state.” Brazil previously announced that it would recognize the, “Legitimate aspiration of the Palestinian people for a secure, united, democratic and economically viable state co-existing peacefully with Israel”.

Friends, the stranglehold by the U.S. and the West on the Palestinians has been broken.

Have You Ever Felt Like This?

After writing the last post, I admit to feeling much like this baby elephant.

The crocodile represents perfectly all the cruel, greedy, insatiable forces currently controlling and manipulating our world. The baby elephant represents the ordinary people of our world. It is a totally unequal contest.

This particular story does have a happy ending. The rest of the elephant family entered the waterhole, dealt with the reptile, and rescued the baby.

In our human world, the crocodile always wins.

Who Is Running Our World?

Out of control!

Friends, looking at the current state of our world you could be excused for thinking that no one is running the world, that it is like a burning runaway bus hurtling down a steep hill and heading for a precipice.

Now look, take a deep breath.  Perhaps that is not really true. There are groups, governments, organizations, secret institutions, all manner of kindred folk who meet behind closed and/or locked doors who feel that they are running the world.

Let’s take the NSC (the National Security Committee) in America for instance which claims to be running the world. You haven’t heard of it? That’s because it’s secret. Then, of course there’s the White House that holds the Commander in Chief of the World. He probably thinks he’s running the world too. Then there is the U.S. State Department who, in cahoots with ‘Allies’, probably thinks it’s controlling the world.

Then we have the Pentagon which is stuffed to the gills with top brass: Admirals, Generals, Wing Commanders, you name them. Though most of them are senile, they are all there plotting and planning which war will be next as part of America’s plan to control the world and which promotion they’ll aim for. Then there is the CIA and the FBI both of whom feel they have a claim to be running the world while getting rid of the world’s  human garbage, those who disagree with the U.S.) while you sleep.

But if we widen our horizons, we have other countries like Russia and China and India, etc, all who think if they’re not running the world at this point in time, with suitable alliances, they soon will be. Then there is Israel which is quite sure it is running the world or, through AIPAC, at least America.

15 Reasons Why The U.S. Empire Must Be Stopped!

First they slaughtered the Red Indians then introduced slavery.

Then they dropped atomic bombs on Japanese civilians.

Then they bombed and napalmed Vietnam and Cambodia killing

millions while Agent Orange caused birth deformities for decades.

Then they introduced Shock and Awe and Abu Graib to Iraq

as well as depleted uranium and cluster bombs.

Friends, there are many reasons why the burgeoning U.S. Empire should be broken up. The collage I have assembled shows but a few of them.

A Cry For Help From America!

In times of trouble, we must all lend a hand!

“Unfortunately the American public is headed in the wrong direction and is in too dire straits to concern themselves with the TRUE problems with their government…

We need outside intervention. We need the international community to start cutting of their trade with the US. Impose sanctions. We need the ICC to get serious and start investigating and prosecuting the members of our government who instigated the forces behind the murder, the torture, the rape, the abuse. If need be, we need international intervention in the form of military…

Hopefully some of these leaked cables piss off the right people so we can get some change in the way our government operates...”

Friends, this is part of a reply to a comment which I left on ICH (see News Links), an excellent source of real news. I won’t name the person to avoid embarrassment or trouble to anyone but the reply touched me, reinforced my feeling that not all Americans are unaware or are ignoring the plight that their country is in.

H. Clinton: The Queen Of Hypocrites!

Friends, when I looked at my Reuters news this morning I was struck by the following headline:

Secretary of State Clinton pushes Central Asia

on human rights.

Now, I found this intriguing. Clinton delivered her strong human rights message to Kazakhstan. “No country can be fully free unless human rights defenders are given their rights,” Clinton told a university audience in Astana, Kazakhstan’s futuristic new capital. “If you want to be a successful country in the 21st century, eventually you are going to have to accept that you must do more for human rights.

Now I don’t know about you but I felt this was a bit rich coming from a country that, well, let me mention a few things. The U.S. keeps people in cages without charge and without trial. The U.S. tortures prisoners and water-boarding is popular. The U.S., if it really wants to torture people, renders them overseas where there are no limits to the cruelty that can be inflicted.

The U.S. is now raiding the homes of peace activists looking for ways to frame them, shut them up. The U.S. spies on its own citizens, reads their emails, taps their phones and bank accounts, etc. The U.S. pressurizes its media, strongly suggests that certain stories are downplayed or not run (the cable leaks for example). The U.S. uses its police force to disrupt protests, encourages them to use strong-arm tactics to frighten its citizen, to deter them from protesting. The U.S. has allowed Corporations to enter its political process which helps to destroy democracy.

The U.S. has its Armed Forces placed all around the world. It has, or has access to, more than 1,000 military bases.
