What happened to these people shows what American control means!
Friends, given the current ruckus between North and South Korea, the sending of a U.S. aircraft carrier to the area is bad enough but the intention by America and South Korea to hold war-games in the area in a few days time is utter madness.
It is yet another example of the U.S. never doing anything unless it serves U.S. strategic purposes. And once again it shows that stirring the pot (also called provoking) is something that the U.S. engages in frequently.
As I mentioned in my last post (as an update) South Korea was firing artillery in the area prior to the barrage which the North directed at the island currently occupied by the South. That fact seems to have been left out of most of the news I have watched. The impression being created by the MSM is that North Korea attacked the South Korean island without provocation.
Now as you would realize the U.S. has its tentacles all over the area. It has a large force in South Korea and it is involved in Taiwan much to the consternation of China. It is in large numbers in Japan despite attempts by the Japanese to push it out. It is in the Philippines and, well if you look at the map of American bases a couple of posts back, it gives some idea of its sphere of influence in the immediate area and across the world.
Now, America has not achieved this spread by accident. Everything the U.S. does is self-serving especially since WW2.
It’s to gain an advantage for America whether it be militarily, economic or political. It’s to ensure that America runs as much of the world as possible, gets most of the rewards, grabs most of the resources, pulls most of the strings. It is helped in this objective by a mob of compliant nations like Australia which obviously doesn’t grasp the import of what happens if America does eventually control the world.
America’s goal is to ensure Americans have the highest standard of living and the rich elite in America outdo their counterparts elsewhere in the world. It’s to ensure that other nations don’t gain an advantage or rival America, that other nations can’t compete with America’s army, navy and air force.
Unfortunately Russia is beginning to find its feet again to say nothing of the emerging powers of China and India. They are not going to stand idly by and let the U.S. gain dominion over scarce resources. They are buying up land to ensure food supplies.
America is countering in Africa and has set up an African Command, similar to Commands it has in other places. America is sectionalizing the world, dividing it up into areas, readying it for American control.
The sad part is that America wants to control the world for its own selfish ends. It does nothing for the good of mankind. America is not driven by nobility or altruism but by greed, greed for lucre and greed for power.
You’d think in a world that has too many people and a shrinking amount of resources that we could work out a system where everything could be shared. Oh no, that would be too sensible. That one country wants to have it all for itself is reprehensible, immoral, an act of pure bastardry.
The U.S. is Utterly Self-serving. It must be stopped or freedom will become an empty word for everyone except the Americans. Just ask the remnants of the Blackfeet shown above.

Thanks for the link, Coco.
I saw this morning that Russia is looking for naval bases outside its borders and China is securing scarce resources everywhere.
Everyone can see what the U.S. is up to except America’s ‘Allies’. The scene is set for major confrontation in the future. It’s inevitable.
We need a change in thinking. Empires are a thing of the past, an anachronism. Someone should tell America!

I just had to make an observation about the photo at the top. Native peoples negotiated in good faith with the U.S. government and signed more than 300 major treaties. True to form, the U.S. government broke every one of them. This month the people of this country “kicked the bums (Dimocrats) out” in a belief that the Rethugs would live up to their promises for fiscal responsibility, representing the “will of the people”, etc. They haven’t even been sworn in yet and already the Rethugs are calling for an additional 700 Billion dollars to be added to our debt by extending tax cuts for the rich and saying that they will remove as much regulation as possible by defunding whatever doesn’t suit their corporate masters. It all just reinforces what I have said here before when I quoted a real journalist (as opposed to all of the whores working at Fox, the New York Times, and the Washington Post) who was named named I.F. Stone. He said “governments lie”. It is tragic and embarrassing that a people who have access to so much information can led around by the nose and made to vote against their own interests.

Bruce, I cannot figure out why Americans are the way they are. Their genetic makeup should be similar to that of Australians given that both countries became a melting pot for many different peoples.
But this is not the case. Australians and Americans might as well come from different planets. The ideas of imperialism and exceptionalism and elitism and manifest destiny are laughable to us. We fight if we have to but we don’t go looking for war.
What went wrong in America?

Haunting and sad to see the photo of the Blackfoot people. We are cursed for killing these proud people and not honoring any of the treaties that they signed in good faith. That is where we went wrong, David. Imagine if we could have all lived side by side – what a different World this would be…

The “self-serving” goes back before the discovery of the American continent. European Royalty were a pretty self-serving bunch – but then it goes back in time. Royalty from the beginning of time would chop forests or prople’s heads to suit themselves. This self-serving has Royal fingerprints all over it!!
Reply
War by Deception. I think Royalty hid themselves. They played a “new” game here in America. They played the people FROM THE BEGINNING keeping them under control in a big wild land. All the killing of Natives was for the benefit of land grabs – so the little people could have places to live. Which made the little people partners in crime. This bloated regular people in ways that other people have not understood – until now, perhaps. The people were told they were a God-Chosen People. Sounds familiar. (Israel)
Now we fight wars we cannot afford while our schools fail our children. We care more for our big screen t.v.’s and the cars we drive and where we live is all very status driven. So we invade other lands like Africa for our precious ingredients, thus displacing people there, causing war and strife there. While here in the Homeland, more families are houseless and hungry. Karma is getting us. Royalty, btw, are doing great! Not that I begrudge those two happy kids. There is a system in place..

Thanks for your insights, Grace. You’re right that there is a system in place and it’s certainly not a system which benefits the common people. It’s a rigged system which suits the wealthy elite.
But their system is unraveling. They are frantically trying to prop it up. When it falls, hopefully an entirely new system will emerge, one based on equality, on equal justice, one that works for the benefit of the many rather than the few.
It must be a system that severely limits the amount of wealth and power each human can have. It must be a system that punishes greed and self-seeking, that encourages peace, humility and caring.

Everyone of America’s allies can see this… they’re not stupid. The problem is that all the western powers are controlled by the same entity that is bent of world domination. Now who do you think that is?
On the other hand China, NKorea, Iran and to some extent Russia have managed to avoid the entanglement of the web of death that is choking the life out of the west. The only way to defeat these war mongers is in the same manner as the USSR was defeated – bleed them dry – make them spend, spend, spend until their economies collapse, and China should STOP enabling the USA and call in all their debts. THAT WILL PUT AN IMMEDIATE STOP TO THIS BS!

I’m not aware that our Government can see what America is up to, LT. They probably will wake up when the U.S. takes over here, when it starts telling us to increase our Armed Forces and to participate more fully in U.S. wars.
Like other Allies, Australia still lives in 1945 when it appeared that the U.S. alone saved the world from the Japanese and the Germans. The important role of Russia in Hitler’s defeat is rarely acknowledged.

David… I think you underestimate the intellect of Australia’s leaders. After all, you seem to have a perfectly firm grasp on reality and able to see through the smoke and mirrors. Surely this deception must be perfectly obvious to all that are willing to open their eyes and see. But then again… one must be willing to do just that – open their eyes.

LT, few Australians are aware of what America is really up to. Most of our politicians are caught in a 1945 time warp and think that America is our saviour when in fact by following America we are slowly but surely being hated too. It’s a classic case of indoctrination.
I can’t recall any politicians from either side offering criticism of the U.S. and its imperialism and warmongering!
Chalmers Johnson’s last book “Dismantling the Empire” has a great section on US behaviour towards its “ally” South Korea, including keeping dictators in power against the will of the people for over 30 years, until 1993, when the people managed to have real elections. This is certainly not generally known about.

Rosemerry, the U.S. would support the Devil himself if they could get a buck out of it or further increase their power. Mubarak is another example of an American-supported dictator to say nothing of the tyrannical Kings in the Arab Nations!

David, I think LT is onto something. Money plays a big part in taking down the empire. China is not happy with the USA right now because of the currency wars that are going on. Neither is the rest of the world (for the most part) I read today that the Aussie dollar is still going strong so maybe you guys haven’t been and won’t be affected by Ben Bernanke’s quantitative easing of our monetary policy. The Chinese and others at the G-20 meetings seemed very upset over QE#2.
I’ve been reading that China has more influence over North Korea than any other country. The US has a military base in South Korea. Here they are on the brink of war and this drives the value of the dollar back up to where China can be more comfortable with it’s holdings.
People are also speculating that the dollar is being driven back up after being in a downward spiral a couple weeks ago, because it still looks prettier as an investment than the crashing Euro. I don’t know which theory has more truthfulness.
I have to research for some quotes and stories so I will be back with more information. For now, I share a sad joke of a letter that is said to have been floating around the internet in one form or another since 2000. Americans….poor ignorant bastards….

Kathy, greed for money and power is what is driving our world towards destruction. The battle over currencies is only one of many fronts. The propaganda machine is in overdrive.
American imperialism will bring down our civilization, of that there is no doubt.

You’re so right. The currency war is one of many fronts and the propaganda machine is about to catch fire its running so fast and furious! This week they have really really wanted us to look at the TSA airport security ‘problem’. They have wanted us to look at the Euro (alternative media). They have wanted us to know there is going to be a ‘Royal wedding’, AND that Korea is about to possibly go to war. Now that we have been focused on all these things, I wonder what’s in the magician’s other hand???

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Joseph Goebbels,,,,(Hitler’s propaganda minister).
Americans have been lied to for centuries. We have been told that we are “The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” Remember George W. telling us “the terrorists hate us for our freedoms?” Here’s another quote:
“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free”…by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
I was taught that in a capitalist system I could own my very own property. (Communists can’t.) I was taught that in communist countries they could not own anything. The government owned it all and distributed it the way they thought was best. Pride in ownership was what drove us capitalists to be motivated and work harder to have “The American Dream”. (Own your own home or land, or business.) Communists were lazy because the government just provided them with what they wanted them to have (to barely exist) and there was no use working toward a goal because they could never become great or even different than the rest. (This is what I was taught).
The truth is, Americans can’t own anything either. If you buy land here you have to pay taxes to the government, and the deed to your property lists you as a ‘tenant’. The government can also take your property in the case of ‘eminent domain’ if the government deems your land to be necessary to serve the greater good. True ownership of a thing does not require you to pay taxes on an ongoing basis. The government would not be able to take it from you when they see fit….(and we think we are free!!!) haha!

Kathy, in Australia the Government can also take your land if they want to but they do have to pay you reasonable compensation. In China they just throw farming people off their land.
In the sidebar I have a little section on freedom. I think our freedom is really restricted to serving our Masters!

Here in the USA the gov has to pay you reasonable compensation if they take your land. BUT……THEY are the ones who get to decide what’s reasonable.
I saw your section in the sidebar on freedom and I agree that we are restricted to serving our masters. Government is master because they make the laws. Money is master because we have to chase it to make a living. I’m saddened to think that just makes us ‘Children of lesser Gods.’
We forgot that we created governments. That makes us the creators and government the creature. The creature should never be allowed to grow more powerful than its creator!

Hello Kathy,
Seldom have words had such profound meaning as those uttered by Joseph Goebbels… “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it”.
This is so ironic because here in America those telling the lies have grown incapable of separating fact from fiction and they themselves have come to believe in their own deception! The politicians, Republican or Democrat it doesn’t matter, they are all singing from the same choir page and we both know full well that some/most of these clowns couldn’t find their way out of a paper bag!

It’s easy to convince a people to go to war. “All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifist for a lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.” source: Hermann Goering, 1934.
Americans are paranoid as you pointed out in a previous post. From the time I was old enough to remember, we have either been at war or on guard from the communists and then finally the terrorists. Oh yeah, the devil too!!! Growing up in the south, (the bible belt) I was either going to burn in hell for my evil ways or be killed by a Russian!!
David, has Australia ever had a terrorist attack? A Pearl Harbor? A 9/11? Did they teach you to fear any ‘other’ doctrine? Do you fear your government? I know you are an atheist but do most Australians fear a God or a devil? How does government keep the people of your country under control if not by fear tactics?
Reply
Kathy, it all has to do with indoctrination. If we were properly educated and could think for ourselves, the Government couldn’t do what it does. It would be too scared. But we are indoctrinated not to question what the Government does but to trust it, to be obedient to it.
The same thing applies to the capitalist system. We’re told it is best, that markets solve all problems even when we know that capitalism causes huge inequality, that most of the wealth ends up in the hands of a few, and, for many there is only starvation and poverty.
Regarding Australia and terrorist attacks, no, we haven’t had an attack on our soil but the bombings in Bali did kill over 90 Australian tourists along with other nationalities. We are constantly told that Bali was our 9/11 but I think it had more to do with attacking immoral Westerners by the folk in the Muslim country.
Of course, in WW2, the Japanese did bomb Darwin but it was not on the scale of Pearl Harbour. And the level of fear here is no where near that in the States!
