Suddenly America Has No Clothes!

When Lady Godiva was exposed, the world saw she was beautiful.

America exposed is…well…UGLY!

Friends, the release of the American State Department documents and cables by Julian Assange has shown to the world just how corrupt and conniving the leadership of America is.

Across the world the headlines on television and in newspapers continue to expose the extent of America’s ugliness, its Machiavellian character, its two-faced approach to friend and foe alike, its greed, its cunning, its total lack of morality and integrity, etc.

But the information also reveals how dangerous imperial America is, what a threat it poses to the world. It shows clearly that America can’t be trusted, that it has a forked tongue, that it has no qualities which would make it suitable for any aspect of world leadership.

The information clearly shows that the leadership of American is made up of snake oil salesmen, carpetbaggers, warmongers, charlatans, double-dealers, religious con artists and frauds who worship money and power.

But there may be a positive dimension.

Obama Has Delivered Big Time!

This image represents Palestinian hope. Obama gave it to Israel along with other gifts!

Friends, the man who eloquently made a thousand promises to gain Presidential election has delivered only a handful of them. As part of his promise list he said he was going to settle the Palestinian issue.

What he had done, in order to try to stop Israel building illegal settlements for a few months, is to give Israel the head of Palestinian national hopes on a platter.

Not content with that, he has given other gifts like billions of dollars of advanced fighter jets and an undertaking to veto any U.N. Resolutions critical of Israel (which the U.S. has been doing for decades).

He, the Commander in Chief of the World’s only Super Power, has been reduced to begging Israel for favours and, in so doing, he has destroyed the Palestinian aspirations for their own State.

The U.S. Is Utterly Self-serving!

What happened to these people shows what American control means!

Friends, given the current ruckus between North and South Korea, the sending of a U.S. aircraft carrier to the area is bad enough but the intention by America and South Korea to hold war-games in the area in a few days time is utter madness.

It is yet another example of the U.S. never doing anything unless it serves U.S. strategic purposes. And once again it shows that stirring the pot (also called provoking) is something that the U.S. engages in frequently.

As I mentioned in my last post (as an update) South Korea was firing artillery in the area prior to the barrage which the North directed at the island currently occupied by the South. That fact seems to have been left out of most of the news I have watched. The impression being created by the MSM is that North Korea attacked the South Korean island without provocation.

Now as you would realize the U.S. has its tentacles all over the area. It has a large force in South Korea and it is involved in Taiwan much to the consternation of China. It is in large numbers in Japan despite attempts by the Japanese to push it out. It is in the Philippines and, well if you look at the map of American bases a couple of posts back, it gives some idea of its sphere of influence in the immediate area and across the world.

Now, America has not achieved this spread by accident. Everything the U.S. does is self-serving especially since WW2.

North Korea + America = Trouble!

Smoke rising from an artillery bombardment on a South Korean island!

And guess who’s lurking nearby, always ready to bomb anything that moves?

Friends, ever since the U.S. decided it was going to stop the expansion of Communism there has been trouble. It began in various places but principally in Korea where the South with America’s help  fought the North to a stalemate. Ever since there have been hostilities and they are still at war officially.

Yesterday, the North  attacked a South Korean island with an artillery barrage and several people were killed and some homes were destroyed. What brought this attack about is unknown (update: South Korea is said to have been firing artillery in the area prior to the barrage) but suddenly the temperature has risen with many countries condemning the North. And of course, this comes on top of the recent sinking of a South Korean warship with the loss of 40 plus lives.

Now, I am not an apologist for North Korea and its crazy leadership but then I am not an apologist for American imperialism either (as you would have probably gathered by now). If America hadn’t got involved in Korea in the fifties then the current situation of a bitterly divided nation might never have eventuated. It’s but another example of how American interference causes more problems than it solves.

The question is: where will this current situation lead? The real issue here is that North Korea is armed with nukes and so is America. The real worry is that both of these nations are crazy enough to use them!

Empires Come! Empires Go!

The day the American Empire really began to fall!

Friends, a quick look the the collage above shows clearly the state of play in the world today.

Of course, the mighty Roman Empire with its legions has long gone but names like Julius Caesar live on as do the ruins of Rome and various other monuments of  invincible Rome which are spread all around Europe and the Middle East.

The American Empire  has its legions spread over a larger geographical area but its hold on those countries is more tenuous because, like the Roman Empire was, it’s over-stretched. And it hasn’t got a clue about how to run an empire anyway.

I guess it’s fair to say that its grip on the world since 9/11 is slipping fast. That was a pivotal incident which exposed the myth of American invincibility and superior technology, an incident that was caused by a few men with box cutters. But there were other events too, events like Vietnam and Iraq.

The Battle Of The Species!

“Don’t get angry, my pet. Let them play their silly human games. They will bring about their own extinction soon and we, who are  wise and humble, will assume our rightful place as the dominant species.”

“Will we eventually make the same mistakes that they did?”

“Haw! NO other species could be that dumb!”

NATO Members Are War Criminals!

Friends, NATO has met again and, at the instigation of you know who, they are going to put in place a bigger and better missile shield to protect Europe and you know who from you know who.

That there are intelligent people who spend their whole lives engaged in thinking about war, preparing for war, preparing to respond to a possible attack from the air, from outer space, from the ocean, preparing to counterattack, working out how to best deploy their navies, their nuclear submarines, their space monitoring units, etc, is almost unbelievable.

It all sounds like a video game but these people are deadly serious.

Is U.S. Mass Paranoia Curable?

Americans, despite the fact that they have the biggest, most powerful army in the history of the world, are the most paranoid people on earth.

They see every nation as a threat to them, even ones who would call themselves ‘FRIENDS.’  Those nations which deplore what America is and does (of which there are many) are seen as, “A threat to the security of the American Homeland,” which must be the most used phrase in American discourse.

Show the average American a picture of a terrorist and they go bananas. The fact that a terrorist has no army, navy or air force to back him up or to carry him to the American homeland and is wearing worn leather sandals and a simple robe and carrying only a rifle  makes no difference! In their minds, this man is ten feet tall, has the strength of twenty men, can leap tall buildings at a single bound, drinks the blood of his enemies, well, you get the picture.

This kind of paranoia inevitably will, one day, lead to this:

A World Built On Selfishness And Greed Is Doomed!

He who would carry the world must enjoy being crushed!

Friends, as I wrestle with my current dilemma, the thought occurred to me that the world I grew up in and the world that exists now are as alike as chalk and cheese.

When I was young, people generally were satisfied with little. I was urged to put other people first, myself last. I had to call adults outside my family Mr and Mrs and the use of their first name was forbidden. There was no television though radio was popular and I listened to serials and my imagination soared. Big-noting one’s self was frowned upon. Children were expected to be seen, not heard. Honesty was rewarded as was helping others. As a child, I wandered the streets without fear even at night-time.

When I got married, I moved into a small, weatherboard house which was filled with secondhand furniture. My wife stayed home and looked after the kids while I earned the money. We knew all the neighbours in the street and shared with them their ups and downs as they did ours. We worked for a modest wage and did a good day’s work. People were happy with little. And they were honest. Their word was their bond.

Then gradually, bit by bit, everything changed. The change seemed to take place as the capitalist world took over peoples’ lives. They changed, became more selfish. Kids became ever more aggressive, cheeky, precocious. They cared little for adults, had little respect for them. Kids became increasingly acquisitive, demanded ever more expensive presents which the capitalist system provided in abundance. When I was a kid I was lucky to get one small present, a toy that I treasured. I remember my kids counting up their presents and coming up with a total over thirty, half of which were quickly broken or discarded.
