Planet Earth is a chaotic mess! We urgently require a real leaders because the current crop of humans, like all those before them, are total failures (especially those who come from the United States, Europe and the U.K. though those from other countries are not much better).
Is there a non-human out there who would step up to the plate, who has the intelligence to sort things out for us, who sees that religion is a fraud, who understands that greed and endless war and destruction of the planet will lead to extinction, who could set the world on a path towards peace and equality for the first time?
Humans need not apply as they’ve had ten thousand years to get it right and failed miserably. They are pathetic, profoundly conceited and essentially gullible and stupid.
Send applications to the U.N. (which currently is short for the ‘Union of Numb-skulls’ but we hope this will change if we get the right applicants).
P.S. Owls are encouraged to apply as are elephants. Dolphins are especially welcome.
P.P.S. Nasty carnivorous beasts should consider whether their temperaments are suited to peace. If they are committed vegetarians their applications will be considered more favorably.

The second paragraph of this post gave me a moment of temporary relief. Imagining the impossible was more pleasurable than the current reality! The human imagination is a wondrous, mostly unrecognized asset.

The human reality is a huge disappointment, Grace. We have fallen so far short of our potential and, currently, we are going backwards at an ever-increasing rate.
There is no nation in the world or any leader who has the intelligence or the vision to lead us out of the mess we’re in!
We are lost!

Hi folks. David, In evolutionary terms, we need hundreds of thousands of years to get it right. Moreover, I think only the very rich will survive the upcoming catastrophe/s (is this natural selection?). I am hoping for Punctuated Equilibria, but even this paradigm will take some time.

i think a parrot would be a good leader…………..they are intelligent, vegan (so all the horrible factory farms/animal testing labs/fur farms would be dispensed with), they are an evolved species from the dinosaurs (who ruled earth for more than 400 million years) so they have a lot going for them………..they are very colourful too so wouldn’t need to dress up in any fancy ‘designer’ outfits…………….

Celibate, I don’t think we’ve got hundreds of thousands of years to get it right given the number of nukes in the world and the extent of American imperialism!
Coco, I thought most politicians were already parrots for Corporations!

Perhaps the UN is expecting a different type of leader. One not human or animal!!! Check out the link when you have time.

I checked it out, Kathy. Now I’m convinced more than ever that humans are insane!

Great, “I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. The outcome for us would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.” – Stephen Hawking
Be afraid.
Or, fear not.
I’m glad some body is dealing with this.

The camel will get ‘the hump’ with you, Jeff, if you cast aspersions at him or her!
