Friends, I came across two articles on Information Clearing House yesterday which I found both interesting and concerning. It demonstrates that some thinkers in America are aware of the colossal farce that America has become and the danger that it poses to the world.
I have been banging on about this for quite some time but when prominent Americans start making statements such as these, the world should sit up and take notice!
The first excerpt came from an article written by Glen Greenwald called “Why Is Assange Still Alive?”
“There are multiple common threads here: the cavalier call for people’s deaths, the demand for ultimate punishments without a shred of due process, the belief that the U.S. is entitled to do whatever it wants anywhere in the world without the slightest constraints, a wholesale rejection of basic Western liberties such as due process and a free press, the desire for the President to act as unconstrained monarch, and a bloodthirsty frenzy that has led all of them to cheerlead for brutal, criminal wars of aggression for a full decade without getting anywhere near the violence they cheer on, etc.
But that’s to be expected. We lived for eight years under a President who essentially asserted all of those powers and more, and now have a one who has embraced most of them and added some new ones, including the right to order even American citizens, far from any battlefield, assassinated without a shred of due process. Given that, it would be irrational to expect a citizenry other than the one that is being molded with this mentality.”
This excerpt came from an article called “Bring Me The Head Of Silvino Herrera,” one written by Daniel Patrick Welsh.
“These are, of course, big problems. They are, however, exploding problems, and ones which threaten the very existence of humankind (combined with the rapacious consumerism which holds the lot together). Just the kind of all-encompassing issues one might foolishly expect a national election campaign to address. This huge (American) history, soaked with blood and death for the benefit of profit and oligarchy, is completely unconcerned with the party hacks nibbling at its corners, unthreatened by the sorry excuse for “ideology” and “values” espoused by the political and economic system it nurtured and generated.
Self-delusional, feel-good bromides about the “greatness of America” and a wilful suppression and misrepresentation of our history will seal the deal, and we will plummet headlong into the looming environmental catastrophe that is waiting to engulf us all.”
I think you’ll agree that these are strong words of condemnation and should be heeded.
America has built its economy and its political system on the basis of endless war and its insane ambition to control the world. It tells itself lies about its history and about its true objectives in order to avoid criticism that should accrue to the world’s most violent nation. It is undoubtedly also the world’s most selfish and greedy nation, the world’s most duplicitous nation, and, along with Israel, is the world’s most elitist nation.
Its political system is hopelessly corrupt with big money and big Corporations controlling its so-called ‘democracy’. It has an over-arching Christian Fundamentalist fervor which it uses to justify its endless atrocities. It also uses fraudulent slogans like ‘Bringing peace and human rights’ despite the fact that when it invades and occupies, there is no peace and when it leaves (which is very rare) there is only chaos.
The United States of America, ever arrogant and violent, is the true enemy of the Free World and it is a sworn enemy of Peace. It must be knocked off its perch by any means which could include guerrilla warfare, economic sanctions, boycotts of its products, divestment, sanctions, trade embargoes, financial restrictions, what ever it takes.
The bottom line is that, if you want world peace, neutralize the imperialistic, militaristic United States!

The problem is zionist influence and control over government, media and the banking cartels. Big business is calling the shots with their corporate spending/campain contrabutions so that which ever party wins it will be business as usual. I will cast my ballet. Not voting would be giving up. Sad, but this election will not bring world peace. America has a paracite slowly killing it’s host.

76-water, I can only imagine the pain you must feel watching your country, the one you love, self-destruct.
I agree with you that not voting will not achieve anything. But if the Republicans get back in again the game is over for America because the wolves will be running the hen house again and there is nothing to oppose them!

The hell of it is I know of nobody in my area that shares my views. There are people who realise 9/11 was an inside job, but still believe either Dems or Repubs can save the day. So many eat up what the cyclops in the living tells them as gospel. Speak the truth about Israel and you are anti-semetic. I rue the day we will not be able to share ideas on the internet. As many of us will be deemed “politically incorrect”. Peace and dignity to all with integrity!

Being a thinker in a world full of sheep is always difficult, 76-water.
The internet will be attacked by the movers and shakers who control the world soon. Allowing people who think to be free and to be able to discuss things is not in the plans of the Masters of the Universe. They want simple producers and consumers and voters who ask no questions and who do as they are told.
1984, the U.S. version, is just around the corner. We, who see, must struggle to prevent it!
It’s all looking bad. Real bad. No one can hope to turn this tide. They have enough nukes to destroy the universe. The religious fundamentalists/government can’t lose. Either they’ll control the world, or release the nukes and be raptured into the freaking clouds. It’s a win-win for them. Ask yourself; What if Hitler had had nuclear weapons on this scale? Well guess what? Now he does! I detest sounding so negative and defeatist, believe me. But what are we going to do? I’m not voting any more, I won’t play along with the charade any longer. Is that giving up, or getting real? I voted all my life, and at least I can proudly state: I never voted for the “winner”. Maybe next time I comment I’ll have slid back into the matrix and be in a better mood. Good luck for now, world. In the meantime, better start teaching your children to get under their desks again–our next target is Iran.

Your remark about the internet being attacked soon worries me, of course a lot of things worry me and I fear for my future and that of my kids and grandkids.
With the internet there is at least a place for people to go and get information that is not government/corporate controlled. Not that a lot of people do this, but it is there and thinking people can get honest truthful news they can use. With even MSM attacked as extremely liberal I am sure that a truely liberal internet will someday soon be targeted as a threat. Then we are truely and totally in the dark and lost.
I read recently that republicans were truely evil and that democrats were enablers of that evil. That seems to sum up government here in the US. Most voters are too dumb to see it. We need real change, but that will never be allowed to happen.

I really never believed it would come to this. On the ground, things are humming along, but looking at the bigger picture – there are storm clouds gathering on the horizon. Politics are out of the hands of ‘the little people.’ People are deeply afraid of things we never had to worry about before. Feeding ones family and keeping shelter over head is becoming an all consuming task. We are living in the great recession, but thanks to China we have lots of colorful plastic trinkets to keep our mind off of the doom & gloom.
Living with the knowledge of our true history and our true activities around the World,.. is for a small group of thinkers. It is up to the rest of the World to speak up. The problem is, I think, much deeper since many of those in power are linked through occult mysteries and skulls and bones and such. They are committed to something that we are not invited to be a part of.

Jerry, thanks for your comment. It is looking bad and, if the Repugnants gain control, things will look even worse given their pro-war, pro-greed leanings.
Jeannie, given that the MSM, in the main, is an arm of Government, most people are already in the dark. It takes effort to find the truth amidst all the propaganda and it’s pretty disheartening when you do!
Grace, what we are not invited to be part of is an equal share of the economic pie. The system is slanted towards giving a few people most of the pie and allowing the rest to fight over what’s left! It’s called capitalism.
Cheers.

The American people are just about powerless to change anything and the ones that are voting are voting 50% are voting republican tea party and the other 50% are voting for dems with a small % voting green and other various 3rd party i know the math isnt right but the small percentages that vote for others makes no difference ,to have these elections just go back and forth while exclusively serving the elite rich is alot like spinning around and around and dropping from dizziness and exhaustion , the need to not cooperate with it and become a powerful storm that they cant jail or indict not talking about violence just non cooperation

They will do it anyway. Just like a rapist. Millions of people went out into the streets to try and stop the Iraq war. They did Shock and Aweful – anyway -in our names, no less! The killers hide behind Americanism, but they are the most Un american product this land ever produced or – gave shelter to.

Jeff b, I hope the fact that the Repugnants didn’t do as well as they’d hoped has cheered you up a bit. Problem is that neither side can do much now which perhaps is a good thing!
Grace, in Australia the same thing happened. Herr Howard spoke and the army marched forward, into Afghanistan, into Iraq. This, as in America, is not democracy. It is fascism!

You’re right right, David G, the only way to stop these actions & restore democracy is ban all donations from special interest groups & business. So the people who ones able fund candidates for elections will be Joe Public up to $1500 per election cycle.

Once the US is knocked off, Israel will fall.

I get the feeling that the financial elites of the world run a cyclic system of propping up, then tearing down each nation.
The US provides the military might to the men behind the curtains, and enjoy relative prosperity, but that is in decline and one wonders where the elites will take their techno intel resources and who they will next put their money behind?
Will the US be taken down like Germany after WWII?
What of Israel, really? Was it created solely as a stronghold?
The cycle continues, does it not?
