Friends, Obama, the world’s most powerful man, is now begging the Israelis for favours.
Yes, the Commander in Chief of the world’s most powerful army is so scared of what will happen in the November elections that he is trying to bribe Netanyahu to stop building illegal settlements for the next two months.
As a bribe, he is offering:
- In return for a two-month extension of the settlement moratorium, the US promised to veto any UN Security Council proposal on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict over the next year, and committed to not seek any further extensions of the freeze. The future of the settlements would be addressed only in a final agreement.
- The US would also allow Israel to keep a military presence in the West Bank’s Jordan Valley, even after the creation of a Palestinian state; continue controlling the borders of the Palestinian territories to prevent smuggling; provide Israel with enhanced weapons systems, security guarantees and increase its billions of dollars in annual aid; and create a regional security pact against Iran.

This pathetic gesture shows clearly the dangerous relationship that exists between Israel and America with Israel as the dog and America as its tail.
It shows the subservience of America to Israeli political power and the power of the Jewish lobby within America. It shows the power that the Jewish-owned press exerts across the world and in America.
What it also shows is just how fragile world peace is given that nuclear-armed America is engaged in imperial conquests in the Middle East and so is nuclear-armed Israel and both of them are driven by religious fundamentalism and their belief that they are both above the laws that govern the rest of us.
All nations of the world need to join together to stop this unholy, insane, criminal alliance between Israel and America before it brings about a nuclear holocaust.
The survival of the planet is at stake.

The relationship it shows is that Israel controls the US and the Americans know it. Most Americans are quite sick of it, but the Congress and the Senate is bought and paid for by AIPAC. AIPAC and ADL should be registered as foreign agents in the US. No American who maintains a dual citizenship should be allowed to serve in the government until they give up their ‘other’ loyalties. It’s high time for the world to stand up to the biggest little terrorist nation in the middle east; the eternal ‘victims’, who daily victimize the native population of Palestine.
The US is a government of sociopaths, entirely beholden to Israel, a government of psychopaths. I don’t think it gets any clearer than that.

It certainly shows the depths that America has sunk to, 76-water. But then, America didn’t criticize the Gaza genocide either or any of the other Israeli atrocities!
As an american that article makes me sick. America has lost any moral standing acting as a lap dog of Israel. The question is how do intelligent, sane people stop the madness that is happening when the US is still militarily the most powerful country in the world and will not listen to any sort of reason. The US government sure does not listen to what the american people want and need unless they are millionaires

The World, no less, hangs in the balance. The fate of humanity, no less. We are talking nooklear armed and ready to use em. Nimby style that is. We will do all this faaar from our gated communities. Anywhere but here. Not here, being poor communities, big buildings full of “others,” busy Manhattan near the subway.

I, 100% agree with Amerikagulag that all dual citizens must renounce one or the other. No more dual citizens in high places of power. They can take their place with the rest of us and get equal representation for a change!!

Jeannie, as an Australian that begging makes me sick. It shows clearly that politicians will do anything for a vote! It’s time that Americans considered a revolution, one that would clean out the corruption and bring down the monied elite who are running the show to suit themselves.
Grace, we are moving towards a time when talking will no longer suffice. If action by the people is not forthcoming soon, it will be too late!

Hi, I am brand new to this blog, and up front I will state that I am doing a brief study for uni on the practice of blogs and blogging. I am interested in yours after my neighbour who follows you recommended yours (though rarely comments) . I was wondering why did you choose to blog, how successful you feel your blog to be, what are its benefits and draw backs and how many followers do you have that do contribute and how many might be more like my neighbour who just view. I hope you dont mind me asking this.
I must admit the angst on Israel is new to me, and was also wondering if you and your followers could enlighten me as to what I am missing as I am really quite intrigued.

Regarding your questions: I started blogging because I felt I had something positive to contribute to the world and hoped I could assist in making it a slightly better place. At times I feel that I might have made a tiny difference and, at others, I feel that I have wasted a lot of my time.
But I do love writing so I guess that’s not wasted time. At times I have been badly stressed and depressed by world issues and blogging allows me to let off steam and to share my thoughts with others.
I have been abused by experts, been threatened by a few people, been under surveillance by American Government Agencies, been raided by Israeli plants, been prayed for, etc. I have met some very nice people along the way a few of whom are still contributing and putting up with my vagaries and mood changes.
I get visits from all over the world but not as many as I would like but then there are millions of blogs. I also contribute to other blogs both in Australia and overseas so I get to keep a finger on the world pulse. It’s beat currently is rather feeble and I am expecting some rather large disasters to occur (nuclear war for example).
If you browse through my archives (including my starting blog at ‘www.seeking-utopia.blogspot.com) you will note how the blog is shaped and how, through those who comment, it shapes me.
Regarding Israel, I have followed the torment of the Palestinian people for a decade and, if you read previous posts on both blogs, the reasons for my angst will become clear to you.

I think we also need to distinguish between “America” and the “US”, as all those who inhabit this western hemisphere from Alaska to the southern tip of Argentina are technically “Americans”. Canadians are Americans, so are Honduran’s, so are Venezuelans.
The name has been tainted, and we shouldn’t be painting all residing east of the Atlantic and west of the Pacific as party to the global destruction and oppression inflicted by the USA.
As I tell folks who complain about ‘illegal aliens’.
“No tax-paying US citizen has any room to complain about Native Americans moving norther across borders of land that once belonged to them, when there are AT LEAST two countries half-way around the world, invaded and occupied by ILLEGAL AMERICAN ALIENS.”

Amerikagulag, Grace, you both took the words out of my mouth, I rail against dual citizens & multiple passport holders having government jobs. It is not possible to be loyal to two different countries.

If Obama took the issue directly to the American people he might be very surprised at the amount of support we citizens would rally. The zionist project is falling apart, their hasbara has finally worn thin and the truth is revealed that we’ve been deceived for over 60 years.

I’ve tried for a few years to use USAn to describe me & others from USA but it’s hard to break a lifelong habit & besides Canadians call themselves Canadians if I’m not mistaken and Brazilians, Guatemalans, etc. use the name of their country to describe themselves.
You’re saying a German Or Belgian cannot call themselves Europeans?
Also agree how ironic that a 2nd or 3rd generation USAn have the nerve to try to keep people from freedom of movement & freedom to make a decent living. We’re all from Africa, after all.
