Will Australia Target Anti-War Activists Too?

“Bow Down, American Citizens. Worship Our Goddess of War!”

Friends, on Anti-War.com today (see News Links) there is an article by Jason Ditz about the FBI launching raids on the homes of known American anti-war activists.

It seems in the Land of the Brave and the Home of the Free that all is not well. It seems that hating war (as I do) is now a crime and those who publically oppose it are being investigated. This involves raiding homes, taking computers and bank records, etc, anything that might prove that people who hate war might somehow be aiding and abetting ‘terrorists’, that is all those folks who oppose American imperialism.

Now, it would be a simple matter for the FBI to put information on a seized computer, fictitious information that would implicate an anti-war activist, frame them. Then it would be a simple matter to charge them, find them guilty and jail them and throw away the key so they could no longer inspire people to protest against the America war machine.

Is this what America has come to? Isn’t there supposed to be freedom of speech there? Isn’t America a democracy with a government ‘by the people, for the people’? Is Obama to become Big Brother?

Given that Australia, especially its politicians, foolishly follow America in most things, I wonder how long it will be before the spooks investigate me. After all, I clearly state on my blog masthead that this is an anti-war blog, very much so. I think that war is despicable and the people who plan it and carry it out are both barbaric and moronic.

No sane, intelligent person could possibly support war with the exception perhaps of the global fight against Hitler and fascism in WW2. If this war had been won by the fascists, the world would be a very different world today, at least in some respects.

Sixty-five years after WW2, nations such as America and Israel are using dubious pretexts and going to war to grab scarce resources, to secure strategic military advantage, to financially stimulate their arms manufacturers, to scare competing nations, etc. War to protect one’s homeland seems to be a thing of the past.

But the act of warmongering nations trying to silence those of its citizens who speak out against these kinds of immoral wars is monstrous and could lead the world towards fascism.

This would make the sacrifices of  the millions killed in WW2 while fighting against fascism futile, a profound irony indeed.

Once lead this people into war and they’ll forget there ever was such a thing as tolerance.

  1. David, you have just asked THE question of the day!
Sometimes I think that my sickness saves me. If I were well, I would be one of the ones on the front lines. They can just write me off as sick now. What a sick way to think, huh! BUT, my phone lines used to click and other strange things. Now, I don’t know. I spent most of the summer in the hospital. One of the questions I was asked is, do you think you are being followed?? Ha! I always say that I have unpopular political views and YES, I do think I am being followed. The doctors always then say, oh well, just because your paranoid doesn’t mean there is nothing to worry about or something to that affect. They know the score.

  2. ..When I told one doctor my real views, the dr. stopped typing. It was understood.

‘Knowing the score.’ Do most Americans know the score, Grace? Do they really believe all these wars are to protect the mainland? Do they really think America is a Beacon on a Hill?

Or are they generally happy if America rules the world and they don’t care how it does it as long as they are well off?

I liostened to an interview with Robert Fisk. He seemed convinced that most Americans know things are bad. From the cab driver to whoever he engages in conversations with, he finds, people that know the news isn’t telling the whole story.

Do they know what is making things so bad? There I cannot take that leap.

Do they know that it is Imperial ambitions? World hegemony? Mickey Mouse smoking a Marlboro while resting his feet on a Globe while selct locations burn.

I am convinced it is going to take the whole world saying,”NO” to American ambitions.

A boycott of all things American would be appropriate. Considering the embargoes we have placed on others – that lead to mass starvation and deaths.

The World is addicted to all things American. When the world gives up its addiction to US, maybe there will be a chance to level the playing field.

Yes, many will suffer. The poor will suffer the greatest.

    Something has got to give.

Wake up World! Amercian citizens who speak up will be silenced and then what?

  3. Well a little paranoia , is a good thing. It is truly sad that many who really feel a peaceful world is the solution to our common abuse are made out to be terrorist and outlaws while those that continue to victimize the world for profit and power are not even called into question at all by most of the press . and woe to those who dont have any resources to defend themselves legally.

  4. Australia, being a vassal of the US, and the US, a vassal of Israel, it would stand to reason that anyone opposing the globalist, imperial-zionist, econo-terrorists will without doubt be targeted.
See, the whole key to their game is labeling as terrorists those who are actually ‘freedom-fighters’. Much like the term ‘insurgents’, which is used against those in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting against illegal occupation and oppression.

Surely someday soon, given the current trend in the US, I myself will be considered an insurgent and proud of it.

Rense has a beautiful splash summing up the state of the US.

  5. Here’s a very interesting, albeit, long article on the likely scenario soon to play out on the world stage.

“The Road to WWIII – The global banking cartel has one card left to play.”

War is not only a racket, it’s a profitable racket for those heavily invested – and that narrows it down to the Entire US Congress, the Senate and Military industrial complex. It’s not a fluke, it’s no accident. The current state of world affairs is a contrived, concocted, pre-planned chain of events entirely profit driven. Sad but true.

  6. Grace, a world boycott would certainly cause America to take notice.

Jeff, the threat of being bankrupted because of speaking out is a powerful disincentive. It’s something I often fear myself but, what the hell!

Helmy, surely there must be some conscience hiding underneath it all!

Amerika, I loved that mockup! Says everything really. And you observation about America and war is spot on. It certainly is a racket and it is driven by the deranged vision of world domination.

    Take care, all!
