"Argue not with fools, frauds, fops, and fanatics. Seek instead better companions." —– "Show me a millionaire and I will show you a man who has never thought about the meaning of his life."
Each morning, at dawn, the sun rises heralding a new day and, potentially, a new beginning.
Yet, all too often, each day is just a replica of those that have gone before.
Why not make your next dawn the start of something new?

I wish I felt optomistic. But as each new day dawns I am just glad we are not yet in another war. It seems as each new day dawns the clowns in control seem to be exposing themselves. Israel continues it’s defiant behavior, congress continues to suck up to Israeli asperations, and Obama continues to obey his masters (zionism). The struggle for Americans goes on unimpeded. Howevere, I hope each new day brings joy into someones lives. Cheers!
76-water, clearly there is a total disconnect between the American people and their megalomanic leaders. The leaders are hell bent on grabbing control of the world and don’t really care what suffering they bring upon their own citizens or those from other countries.
I guess that suffering eventually brings anger and with that might come rebellion!
I echo your sentiments, but as soon as you surrender, they win and that’s what ‘they’ want. It’s not a matter of ‘feeling optimistic’ but a matter of making a small movement in a positive direction every day. EVERY day! Don’t look at the big picture as it will become overwhelming. Concentrate on the small things. If you have 20 things you need to do, pick 3- only 3 and accomplish them. Your list will shrink. Positive progress is all you can ever have. And it’s not the destination that is the goal, but the journey. The journey IS the goal.
Turn off all TeeVee, Avoid newspapers. Get whatever information you ‘need’ from the Net. (*distinguish between wants and needs*) Start researching self-sufficiency, or at least acquire some skills or knowledge in agriculture and botany, or at least the ability to plant and grow something. David has plenty of links, and those links have other links etc. Organize your sources on the net. Simple google searches can provide a wealth of information very quickly. When you stop growing, you start dying.
Try canning or preserving food – even a little. Draw your reins in. No fast food, patronize only local non-franchises wherever possible. Learn about herbs for medicine and learn to identify the common plants around your house that are actually beneficial. Keep learning something new everyday.
Yes the world is a messed up place and the zionists will see to it that it gets worse. They never sleep. But our only solution is to be prepared and able to live without them. The Native Americans were completely in touch with the earth. So was much of Mexico. I’m not saying we can become like them overnight, but the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. The “ONLY” thing permanent in life is CHANGE! When we stop growing – we start dying. The choice is ours. The best examples have already been set.
David that’s a beautiful picture. Dawn is a perfect idea for change. I agree entirely with your ‘disconnect’ statement about Americans. I’m guardedly optimistic about them actually taking action to change things. Sadly, many of them still believe the election system will bring about something good. “Brain-dead over-eaters” is my term for the current situation. I feel that unless and until this country embraces a party which completely disassociates itself with Israel and zionism in any form, and concentrates on US only; one that abandons wars of aggression, etc, that we will continue down the same path.
What we need is a SECOND party as this one party system isn’t working any more. The federal reserve must be abolished. So too the world bank and the UN. The US and Canada are a country of ‘mutts’ whereas Mexico is still largely indigenous. We still cling to the notion that it’s okay when WE do it, but not when others do it. As a people, we are self-absorbed and arrogant – but I feel that’s only a leftover from the decades of progress we made since the 1700′s. Now, the US has little to be proud of and even less to look forward to. Once the people realize that, my hope is that they will awaken once again and reclaim their government.
time will tell. But thanks for the beautiful photo. Pictures like that make the struggle worth it.
Jeannie, I echo Amerika’s advice. To contemplate the whole catastrophe is too daunting. As I’ve advised in previous posts, it’s important to protect yourself, keep your own candle burning brightly, do what you can and be happy with that.
Amerika, you offer wise counsel and a perceptive view of your country. As the people awaken from their American Dream and are confronted by what their country has become then there will be shock, then anger. With anger will come change!
I would like to say that AmerikaGulag’s posts are right on the mark. AG gives wise advice. I say that because when I was going through our hard struggles time, I had this thought that I am lucky to go through it while society is still intact. Because, now I am ok with simple. AND when others lives begin to crumble, since mine already crumbled and I have learned to cope, I might be like an anchor in a storm. That is the hope at this point anyway.
Found this blog by accident. Perhaps it is the something new that is actually the replica of something old; never quite changing the pursuit of itself and forgetting is previous footprints. As coffee is from a bean; so is America from war, making man part of the intricate workings of the machine he hates but can never escape without changing his purpose.

Sadly each new day has the potential to be the start of something worse. I am helpless when it comes to being able to do anything to stop any of it.
