Friends, as you would be aware, Tony Blair has moved from his previous position of aiding America in its objective of gaining military control of the world to that of Peacemaker. I use the term Peacemaker very, very loosely.

As you will all recall, Blair, Prime Minister of Britain, got into bed with George W Bush very quickly as events in Afghanistan unfolded. The two of them engaged in foreplay, after-play, between-play, and generally had a jolly good time killing and torturing all and sundry while claiming they were bringing freedom and human rights to the oppressed.

After an initial foray into that country of opium poppies, next off Tony committed his country to help America in its invasion of Iraq because it was said that it had billions of Weapons of Mass Destruction. This turned out to be entirely untrue despite the best efforts at lying of Colin Powell.

The shock and awe that was visited upon Iraq was truly monumental. Each night, our television sets looked like New Years fireworks. No expense was spared by America and Britain to ensure that the destruction and killing was absolute. Having smashed the country to pieces and left it in utter turmoil, then the American-British-Australian alliance returned to Afghanistan to finish the job they’d left in limbo.

Around this time, rumour has it that Blair the warmonger feared he might be brought before the World Court for war crimes.

So he stood down from the Prime Ministership (handing the poisoned chalice to Brown) and, before you know it, he’d been appointed an Envoy to the Middle East. In this new capacity, one completely at odds with his previous barbaric activities, he was charged with bringing peace to the region.

Since his appointment Tony has achieved a number of things. He has wandered about making fluttering, symbolic peace signs while he has assisted America and Israel to avoid doing anything that might have led to the creation of a Palestinian State. He has continuously toadied up to Abbas, the greatest traitor the Middle East has ever produced.

While the Palestinians continued to starve or be killed, he has smiled profusely at all and sundry and made grand, eloquent speeches which have added significantly to global warming but achieved nothing else. He has looked more like a intellectually-challenged Court Jester than a Peace Envoy!

Yes, our Tony has indeed become a man for all seasons. We’ve had Tony the Killer, Tony the Peace Envoy – I wonder what will come next? Perhaps the photograph gives a hint!

Perhaps the Pope would be wise to shore up his political base within the Vatican.
