and it has plenty of these!

URGENT UPDATE: ISRAEL HAS BOARDED THE AID SHIPS, TAKEN THEM OVER, AND KILLED 9-16 PEOPLE AND WOUNDED 60!

Friends, six unarmed ships with 800 civilians on board have set sail from Cyprus and are headed for Gaza with badly needed aid. Three more ships will follow.

The Israeli Navy has set sail to intercept them and force them to land in Israel. In Israel, the aid will be confiscated and those on board will be taken to detention centres and processed. Some will be arrested, some will be deported, some will…well we really don’t know.

This is an act of piracy. This is an act of a deranged nation that has lost the plot, that sees itself as above International Laws, that believes that its might is always right, that believes its ambitions takes precedence over the ambitions of all other nations and their people.

This rogue nation does what it does because it is supported by imperialist America regardless of the atrocities and war crimes it commits!

Both militaristic nations should be condemned and isolated by the rest of the world.

Friends, according to Al Jazeera today, the Jewish State of Israel has fully prepared for the arrival of the Aid Convoy. Al Jazeera reports:

“In accordance with the directions of the Israeli government, the Israel Defence Forces and the Israeli Navy are preparing to prevent the flotilla from reaching the Gaza shore,” a military source said on Thursday. “Israelis on board would be arrested, Palestinians would be questioned by the Israeli secret service, and foreign nationals would be sent back to their countries.”

The Israeli army also took journalists on a tour of a detention centre being prepared at Ashdod port for holding the aid activists. Sounds very draconian, doesn’t it?

Those on the Aid Convoy say:

“If the Israelis try to stop us, this will be a huge diplomatic and political crises for them. We have 50 states participating in this and are sending a very clear message to Israel – the international community is not accepting the siege on Gaza.”

The stern is missing. Who did it? And why?

Friends, while we wait for the outcome of the Aid Flotilla Crisis and the Nuke Iran Crisis, we have, for our pleasure, the Korean Crisis.

Now, as you would know, the Korean crisis occurred when America, fearing it would be overrun by Communism, went into bat on the Korean Peninsula decades ago. It had more luck there than it did in Vietnam and succeeded in dividing the country into two sections: North and South Korea. The two sections are officially still at war.

In accordance with American policy, the Yanks built military bases in the south and maintain a heavy military presence there as they do in most other places in the world. The current crisis came about when, regrettably, a South Korean warship was sunk with the loss of more than forty crew. The ship, or what was left of it, was raised (see above) and, after much examining, it has been concluded, surprise, surprise, that North Korea was responsible. But did the ship stray into North Korean waters? Who would know?

This incident has caused Mother Hen, Hilary Clinton, to become all menopausal and she is running around the world stage urging everyone to stick a dagger into North Korea, especially its leader who looks as if he died six months ago but just won’t lie down.

“But Stephen, what about us Gazans? We’re under Israeli siege!”

Friends, you may not know that Israel, during its assassination of a Hamas leader in Dubai, use four forged Australian passports. It also used forged passports from the U.K., Ireland, France and Germany to make up the 17 people it used in the ‘hit’.

Australia was rightfully annoyed at this act by Israel (the forging, not the assassination). It investigated the allegations with the result that, yesterday, Foreign Minister Smith announced at a Press Conference that one diplomat from the Israeli Embassy in Canberra had been given one week to leave Australia.

It was an amazing press conference. On one hand the Minister was trying to sound stern, as if Israel had done something seriously wrong (which they had by impugning Australia’s sovereignty).

But on the other hand he kept saying over and over that Israel is Australia’s friend and that, though this expulsion might lead to a cooling off for a period of time, nothing could damage the enduring friendship between Australia and Israel. Fair dinkum, I thought he was going to burst into tears.

In Australia, succeeding Governments have adopted a pro-Israel position.

This is one of the aid ships trying to break the siege of Gaza!

…and this awaits them on the land!

Friends, according to Al Jazzera, a new convoy of nine ships is being assembled,  one that is bringing aid to the besieged people of Gaza. It is the largest attempt yet by international aid groups to break the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.

These ships, sailing under the banner, Freedom Flotilla, began their journey to Gaza on Saturday, despite warnings from Israel that they will be stopped for breaking ‘Israeli Law’ (which it seems applies to the whole of the Gaza Strip and to the sea adjacent to its western boundary).  The ships are carrying 10,000 tonnes of reconstruction materials, school supplies and medical equipment.

The convoy of ships comes from the UK, Ireland, Algeria, Kuwait, Greece and Turkey, and is comprised of 800 people from 50 nationalities. It is made up of three cargo ships and five passengers boats which will assemble off Crete then sail to Gaza.

Interestingly, Turkey is a major supporter of the attempt to break the illegal siege. Perhaps more Muslim Nations will join together to oppose Israeli tyranny.

I read the headlines: North Korea sank South Korean navel ship – consequences promised; more bombings in Iraq; financial markets in free-fall; mother kills children; woman found raped and murdered; oil leak damages environment; drug cartels fight Mexican Government; more sanctions to be placed on Iran; cancer rates increase… No where did I find any mention of peace.

Where in the world is there a bridge to peace? Where can you cross to a place where there is no war, no violence, no greed; a place where people are happy and love their neighbors; a place where compassion, caring, honesty and generosity reign?

Perhaps it’s shown in the photograph.

Problem is: I don’t know where it is.

Do you?

They couldn’t dress like this in France!

Friends, despite the huge surge in troop levels in Afghanistan, those cheeky Taliban, like the ones shown in the photograph, have carried out an attack on the huge, well-fortified American airbase at Bagram.

What audacity! What could they have been thinking? Don’t they know that America has the world’s largest army? Don’t they know that America spends more on arms than any other country? Don’t they know that the U.S. has complete air and land superiority? Don’t they know that Afghanistan is under NATO and American occupation?

Obviously the answer to all these questions is NO! Possible reasons why are interesting. Perhaps the Taliban have heard about Vietnam and the American humiliation there. Perhaps they are purely motivated by a desire to rid their country of the foreign invaders. Perhaps they’ve seen what has happened in Iraq where the Americas also invaded and occupied: there is complete chaos and corruption there and hundreds of people are being killed almost daily by bomb attacks.

Seven guerrillas carrying rockets and grenades were killed in the brazen attack. They traveled on foot. Six foreign troops in Bagram were wounded.

This dramatic image from Reuters today may show where our world is headed.

It was taken in Ashkelon in Israel and it shows one of the truly deranged ultra-orthodox Jews walking past what appears to be a burning city. The ‘ash’ part of the city’s name seems ironic!

It is foretold that the end of the world will come about in fire. The fire could well be associated with a nuclear war, one which was precipitated by Jewish Israel attacking Muslim Iran which then quite rightly retaliated which then brought in Christian America which then brought in other Muslim nations.
