Aren’t they grand? Don’t you feel proud? One even has nukes!
Friends, you’ll be excited to know that, according to Al Jazeera today, oil-rich nations in the Middle East and the North of Africa are going to spend upwards of 30 billion dollars upgrading their navies.
Yes, those who normally live in deserts and ride camels are going to take to the seas in heavily armed corvettes, ho, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Anti-piracy and anti-terrorism are said to be the rationale but I guess when you are making billions of dollars from selling oil, you have to spend it on something. After all, when you have 100 Rolls sitting in your garage and a solid gold bathtub, what is left?
This spending is going against the trend elsewhere in the world where many nations (excluding the U.S. of course) are tightening their belts and reducing spending on defense because of the GFC (remember that?). This made those who make the lucrative weapons of war very nervous because they could see an end to their mega-profiteering and the distinct possibility that they might have to flog off a bit of real estate, you know, a castle in Spain or a luxury penthouse in New York, that kind of thing.
But no, this injection of defense spending will make their Christmas a happy, festive time and it will help keep the world on a permanent war footing. Then all we need is an invasion here and an occupation there and, voila, we satisfy the never-ending human lust for killing and violence.
One problem that I can see is that of an increase in the chance of maritime collisions because, soon, the oceans of the world will be filled with wall-to-wall warships. They may have to put lanes made from corks and rope in some places, much like the painted ones we have on our highways. Perhaps a naval police force may have to be created, one that has the power to issue speeding and ‘not giving way to the right’ fines. How they would catch an errant submarine is an issue but a depth charge or two might resolve that.
Anyway, the good news is that the world will continue to be flooded with the weapons of war much as it has been for 10,000 years. And wars will continue forever thanks to the generosity of the Sheiks and Kings and Despots of the Middle East to say nothing of the strong leadership of warmongering nations like…well, you know who they are!
P.S. If you want to make money, invest in companies that make armaments and munitions. It’s a growth industry.
There’s only one proviso: you must not care about getting blood on your hands. No, not your blood, silly! I meant the blood of poor people in foreign countries, the ones who don’t count.

Is’nt this just wonderful news for the Christian nations. We can kill somebody and feel good about it.

Yes, 76-water, if we could get every nation in the world armed to the teeth and ready for combat, the world would be an absolute paradise for some.
Of course, to the peace-lovers (of which I’m one) it is madness!

Christian, Judaism, Islam. The true mystical thread that connects us all is still hidden inside of these hijacked institutions. Don’t be distracted by the meme. The person we know as Jesus Christ, had a very simple philosophy of peace and Love. Countries that kill in his name have nothing to do with that simple spiritual man.

Like you said David, it is a growth industry. Go over to some small helpless country and do a little bombing, there is always an excuse to be found, and get their citizens really mad at us/US so that they start to fight back then label the fighters “terrorists” and you can have a nice new war which, of course, requires billions of dollars in fancy high tech arms and the lives of young people too brainwashed to realize how they are being used and soon the profits will start rolling in. All of this will also keep the ordinary citizen so afraid of some vague enemy that he/she will have no chance to realize that the litle peoples real enemy is not some guy in robes half way around the world, but rather their own corporate controlled government that is busy taking both their money and their freedom.
Repeat as necessary.
And if our own citizens get pissed off after a while those same weapons used on poor third world countries can also be used at home. Nothing must be allowed to stand in the way of making a profit.

Well said, Jeannie.
David, you brightened my morning. A lovely war to make the world go ’round. I want to throw a monkey wrnech in the machine. I am sure that saying that, puts me on The list -as if I am not already on.

I read this and it reminded me of conversations with parents who are weary about their ‘of age’ children and the choices that face them.
Masters Need Serfs
. . .The masters of the global plantation need serfs who are willing to donate their first-born to assorted foreign military adventures. Otherwise, nationalism — which is often a response to oppression, both perceived and real — cannot be suppressed. And that means markets cannot be exploited. Since the war in Vietnam, all is not well back at the Republic.
. . .Real folks are watching real earnings decline, at the same time that Wall Street gushes over the corporate downsizing that has stock prices soaring. “Losing your job is good for us,” they’re basically saying.
. . .Even militia members now salute the anti-war protesters of the Sixties, and regret that they weren’t listening at the time.
. . .Without the “communists” to kick around anymore, some of those who once underwrote Wall Street’s global interests by donating their first-born are now describing themselves as patriots and populists.
. . .Many of them have taken a fresh look at the international ruling class, and resurrected a long but gnarly tradition of anti-establishment, isolationist nationalism. Much of the political thinking among these new patriots is immature, and is short on both research and scholarship.
. . .Even so, it still describes the world better than what’s left of the Left, with its self-interested insistence on multiculturalism and political correctness.
. . .The conspiracy theories peddled by patriots make more objective sense today, than the reasons they were given for our involvement in Vietnam did in the Sixties. That’s progress of sorts.

Invest in big pharma, the American prison system, biometrics, and the veri chip company too. Sooner or later they will put a chip into everything and try to put it into everyone to keep track of our every move. These power freaks only know a few things; war and enslaving the majority. They’re very good at getting us to enslave ourselves and each other too.
All of this war is in our face and behind the scenes too. I want to show you something that I’ve been watching for a little while, just to show what the news does. Below is a website that shows a movement trying to restore government to the original constitution.
http://www.guardiansofthefreerepublics.com/front-page.html
Today, an article was published about them and here’s a link to the article:
http://www.nevadaappeal.com/article/20100331/NEWS/100339911/1006&parentprofile=1058
If you click on the link to the guardians of the free republics you will see what they claim to stand for.
Then if you read the article about them you will see them painted as extremists who have threatended to overthrow all 50 governors’ seats. They are painted as anarchists who hate all levels of government. They are connected to Timothy Mcveigh- the supposed nut who blew up the Oklahoma city federal building in 1995. (All of this is how the media is presenting them so far.)
They caught my attention this past week because I joined a forum on line that has a webinar a couple of times a week. They cancelled last sunday night because the guardians of the free republic were having a radio broadcast in the same time slot. They encouraged all of us to go and listen to the radio broadcast of the free republic ‘The Restore America Plan’. I tried to listen to their radio broadcast but could not hear it very clearly. I do however have a copy of what was sent to the governors of the 50 states. Here is the link to this 20 page document.
http://educationcenter2000.com/Grand%20Jury%20Study/Declaration-verdana-font.pdf
It does give the governors a 3 day notice to either occupy their seat of office upholding the constitution instead of the now incorporated states, or resign, or be prepared to be tried for treason. The challenge to the governors is this: “Right now you hold office as if you are a corporate officer working for the corporation of the state of Tennessee, or California, or whichever state. We don’t want you to act for corporate interests. We want you to act for “we the people”. There are two chairs for government to occupy. The de facto government is the corporation. The de jure is the constitutional. The de jure office did not go away, it’s just been empty for at least 140 years while these people that we think we elect swear an oath to uphold the de jure (constitution) and get busy working for the de facto corporations. De jure is the real thing and de facto is the stand that is accepted as real because it works.
The article about the capitol building in Nevada that was practically shut down because of these “extremists” “anarchists” that hate government at all levels…..FBI says that they warned all 50 governors… that lets me know that these 20 page documents really did get sent to the governors. (I had wondered if they would be sent)
So this movement that is being called extremists and anarchists in the first mainstream news broadcasts has very lawfully empaneled de jure grand juries as called for in the constitution (supreme law of the land) (supposedly right?) and now I wonder how they are about to be demonized.
They have chosen their approach to try to take back constitutional government in a way that can be incremental (not frightening the public at large). Their theory is that the Constitutional form of government was taken away from the people incrementally so they will put it back in the same way. (Incrementally)
I don’t know David. This seems to be the start of a ‘behind the scenes war’ here in the states; Probably just one of many. But look at how the ‘news’ paints it.
If this story plays out in the news at all…they will paint this group badly. There will be 26 grand jury members per 50 states = 1300 people that they deem to be members of this ‘extremist’ group. People who don’t read their constitution (majority of Americans) will think this is Al Queda in America…And I just have a feeling that this is how Hitler did it! (Propaganda)
Poor old American citizens! And poor old citizens of the world who ever let themselves fall for this sh*t.
When I was in Saudi Arabia I noticed that it seemed about 95% of the people were poverty stricken and backwards to society. Along the beach at the Arabian Gulf they had built restroom facilities. My daughter had to use the bathroom. We walked to the facility and before we got inside we were hit with a smell of open sewage. I lingered back and looked inside,,,careful of where I stepped. There were piles of human feces all over the floor. There were 10 flush toilets against the wall. These bedouins didn’t know what flush toilets were! They pooped on the floor!
We mingled behind the scenes with some higher ranking people. Their women didn’t cover up. They ate pork. They drank and did drugs at whatever rate they could afford. It was all a big joke to them.
These new navies…another lovely war…it’s all the big powers that be. The people are clueless. And the people who want to know more will be propagandized. It’s the same in all our countries.
We have to stand up and question everything lest they think they have our silent consent…
Say it loud and say it clear to every so called representative in every country…NO MORE WAR!!

Thanks, Coco. I’ll check it out!
My ‘Stop The War Machine’ poster is in the side bar right opposite your comment, Kathy. They synchronize very well.
I need time to digest your comment and its implications but I guess if the States regain power then the Federal Government will become less powerful which is no bad thing.
Grace and Therese, thanks for your continued input and links. You are tireless in your efforts to awaken the sheeple!

David, you’re correct that if the states regain power the federal government would be less powerful. I’m just not sure how this group fits in. I’ve been trying to keep up with any feedback and it seems that there has been very little feedback in mainstream media.
I listened to one radio talk show that mentioned it yesterday but they were saying that these participants were going about this all wrong and that they were writing their own tickets to be hauled off to FEMA camps!
I don’t know. Red flags are raised in my mind because of some of the secrecy. (I want to know everything.) The information they publish sounds very good for the people. But..I haven’t been able to join their group because they state that some things going on behind the scenes just can’t be divulged yet because the public at large would be whipped into a state of civil unrest and that’s what they are supposedly trying to avoid.
I’m going to continue to look for information on this movement, not because I would join them but because I think they have the potential to stir our country into a civil war. All depends on how far they will take it and how far the feds will take it.
Wars are going on everywhere. Behind the scenes and in the mainstream news and alternative news. It seems that a spirit of discernment is needed 24/7 in our world today!

Kathy, those who rule us are engaged in a ruthless game called: ‘Who Will Rule The World?’
It’s a battle between the corporations, the religious institutions, the militarists, the mega-wealthy, the politicians and the nationalists.
Each group allies themselves with others but each wants supremacy.
