Friends, Al Jazeera broke the news late yesterday that the Israelis have struck another blow against the Palestinians.
They reported that: on April 13, 2010, a new Israeli military order comes into place allowing the mass deportation of tens of thousands of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank.
Any Palestinian or foreigner living in the West Bank without the appropriate id permit (receipt of which is controlled by Israel) can be deported within 72 hours or even jailed for up to 7 years.
Those Palestinians lucky enough to have escaped the open-air prison that is Gaza to now live in the West Bank maybe the first targeted and sent back.
According to Haaretz: Implementing this new military order is not only likely to spark a new conflagration in the territories, it is liable to give the world clear-cut proof that Israel’s aim is a mass deportation of Palestinians from the West Bank.”
Obviously, this news has infuriated the Palestinians who are already under the heavy boots of the Israelis. If thousands of West Bank citizens are forcibly moved to the already overcrowded and impoverished Gaza strip, that will greatly increase the suffering there.
But more importantly, if less Palestinians live in the West Bank, then settlement activity can be increased and the basis for a Palestinian State decreased.
Friends, the irony of this situation is that the Jews were, on spurious grounds after WW2, given a State with certain boundaries. Not satisfied with that they have, using brute military force, occupied what was supposed to be Palestinian land and built settlements and roads and concrete walls all over it. Now they are in the process of carrying out what is clearly ethnic cleansing.
When the Palestinians described the coming of the Jews as ‘Nakbah’ or ‘The Catastrophe’ little did they know what was coming their way. Ironically, the very people who want to remind us of the Holocaust on a daily basis have created a never-ending Holocaust for another race of people.
When is the world going to stop this slow, deliberate strangulation of the Palestinian people and put the Nazi-like Israelis in their place?

From its very origin, Zionism is exclusive and based on ethnic cleansing. Only the dismantlement of Zionism and its replacement by a truly democratic one Palestinian state, the question of Palestine will ever be solved. Unfortunately, we may not survive long enough to see it happen.
What might propel the demise of Zionism is an attack on Iran and the subsequent total isolation of Israel in the world. A total catastrophe for sure but what can one expect from a rogue and illegitimate state.

Simon, the Israelis will never allow the existence of a Palestinian State. It would scuttle their plans for Greater Israel which may well take in lots of land stolen from all their neighbours as well as all of the West Bank and Gaza.

Sorry to say it but, with this initiative, by the zionists, on top of all of their other killings and warmongerings, to deport (ethnic cleanse) Palestinians from your their own home / land, Hitler increasingly appears to have been a true hero in his effort to exterminate ‘those’ bastards..

I think it is time to pass a law, here in America, to arrest and hold : Dual Citizen Israeli’s who cannot commit to one country or the other. Seven years imprisonment is only fair for offenders.

Oh, that Grace’s wish stated above, was the law!! As it is, I despise the United Nations for being too weak to require Israel to obey international law. I hate Israhell.

John, it is difficult at times not to be angered by what the Israelis do. Their morality is non-existent.
Coco, they are their own worst enemies. They are blinded by their racist religion.
Grace, the Israelis are proof that ‘Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.’

It doesn’t surprise me anymore. The whole chosen people went to their heads. That is all I have to say, I could elaborate more, but methinks the root of the problem lies in the whole “Promised Land”/”Chosen People” complex… maybe it’s a whole inferiority complex.

Superiority complex is a more likely explanation, Damian. Many Americans suffer from the same complaint!

The reason I say inferiority complex is that at times it may lead to blatant brutality as an attempt to prove one’s self worth. One case was Adolf Hitler, his inferiority complex created a superiority complex and led to the deaths of over 6 million people (not counting the war dead). I have a feeling Stalin also had some complex and his death toll rounded out to more than 20 million. So now the Israelis have some sort of complex and its taking hundreds of lives every month.
We seem to react violently to genocides such as the holocaust, or Rwanda or even the USSR’s ones because the numbers were so high in such short spans of times. But the worst are prolonged Genocides, where deaths are not high, but accumulate. As is the case in the Palestinian Territories. These types of genocides I dare say are worse than a holocaust, as not only are people killed, maimed, but entire generations become mentally destroyed, impoverished and unable to function. A quick genocide is unexpected, and its effects are disastrous, but recovery is achievable but when you destroy an entire generation how can recovery happen anytime soon? Should Israel withdraw tomorrow, Palestine would feel the effects for decades to come, only fully rehabilitating itself after possibly a century or so. The Holocaust and Rwanda happened and were over within a few years and months respectively, here genocide has become essentially the order of day for decades. How can people expect to function normally if all they ever knew from brith to old age was war, famine, oppression, hatred, death and so on. Where a childhood was dominated by a massive game of Avoid the unexploded ordnance while dodging the falling rockets. The psychological effects are devastating.
The Israeli genocide is systematically destroying any hopes of a future Palestine and is literally trying to break the people down, execute their identities and the like. This calls for a post methinks.

And because the genocide is carried out via a person here, a family there (the 1,400 killed in Gaza were an exception) it draws less scrutiny, less condemnation.
But there will come a time when the genocide will be carried out en masse and the Israelis won’t care what anyone thinks!
