The only reason I can sit up at this computer and write all that I do is because of opiates. Social cohesion, insecurity, fear on the most basic levels of survival - might be holding people back more. My husband, for example; we were worried about his job at the end of the year. Instead of him being fired, they fired the guy who had been there 14 years and gave my huband all his accounts. Now my husband is overworked, sick and stressed. He has no time to do almost anything beyond survival activites. I would dare to say that he is typical of people who still have jobs. I wouldn't want to "make excuses" for anybody, but I believe there are other factors at play that keep everyone back. There is a great suffering that is unaddressed if the Palestinians, a proud people, just pack up and move along now! It does not solve the problem of ISRAEL!
