Kathy, I was going to write one more thing from the other post, but this one too.

First, refgarding verbuilding on previously natural lands. I think it is unconscionable in this day and age to build on natural land. There are very few exceptions to that. There are plenty of places that could be torn down and re-built. There is a whole lazy, entitled class of people these days. For example, when I pick up my son after school, I do drive because of pain issues, but I park my car nearby and take a short walk in to get him. When I emerge from the school and walk to our car, there is a line of monster SUV's with one parent in them, sitting with their engines on, just sitting for much longer than it took me to park, walk in and out. Like it would be beneath their class to get out of their comfort zone. These are the kinds of things I see in California. There is alot of this kind of thing.

My Aries boy's father is Cancer, the crab. Loves mother and home. Tough on the outside, soft underbelly that goes delicious with butter - just kidding! Runs sideways down the beach. Cancer a major water sign, can also be a wet blanket for my fire son. But he is a good influence in guiding and directing him in the right direction. Yeah, we get along. My son loves his mother. We emphasize routine and order - having places for things and he has certain responsibilities. We deal in consequences. First things first. The "have to's" and the "want to's." The idea is that he will live the kind of life that he always wanted for himself.

I can relate, I am always striving for balance and only occasionally relaxing in that balance.
Thanks for such nice things you said. Have a very nice day.

There used to be a homeless man in downtown Los Angeles. He always greeted everone on the street, year after year, saying, "Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night."

An agricultural lifestyle is the greatest harmful thing happening on our planet. I listened to a show about it on KPFA - yesterday. WIth large scale agriculture and the billions of pounds of chemicals. The damage to our planet as well as Created surplus which requires a soldier class to protect and also to eliminate obstacles to ones acquisition of resources. Agriculture is also a sun up to sun down kind of job, so in order to have any leisure, a slave class was promoted. Land owners and serfs go way back, 10,000 years, apparently.

It is very sad to hear about the deer. I know. There was a atime in my youth when there was an incredible amount of Roadkill of wild animals. Now you don't see so much - around here. It is an animal equivalent to a "silent spring." We don't even know what the world is supposed to look like because it has been manipulated for so long. Being where you are in the 'hollers, you know the potential of wilderness and all of its beauty. It is strange to think how many people have only ever known a cemented environment. Humans need a certain amount of nature, trees around them to be healthy, imo.

Omg, it sounds like the potential for being related is great. I cannot tell you, but there were parts of your family story that ring bells for me. I wish i knew more. Well that is great, Kathy. We are in a small apartment right now, but like many, we imagine ourselves in a house, soon. If I have a nice place for guests, you will certainly be welcome. We live right outside of San Francisco.

Andy griffith is one of my all time favorite shows, especially episodes with Barney.

We are a human plague, Kathy. We have escaped many of nature's normal limits. We are procreating like crazy and, via medicine, keeping people alive far beyond the norm.

We will pay a price for this eventually! Cheers.

Grace, I think I posted on Aries because of myself....(Me first impression) and may not have all that much to do with your son. I do think he will try to be dominant but I can't state truth for him or you. I'm stating what kind of kid and young adult I think I was. I'm also stating my experience based on a Sagittarius mother and Taurus father! (Fire sign and Earth sign) together trying to rule ME! I know that I was not an easy kid to rule!! And I left home when I was 16 to get married and prove it!!! Big mistake now in my hind-site...but then it was just a wall to butt down with my Ram head.

Your son has a mother that is peaceful and not fire sign!! Don't know about your husband yet.

Someone did my chart long ago too. I not only have a fire sun sign in Aries, but fire in several other houses too. Moon sign Leo. I don't even remember all the houses but there was so much fire leading the way in me that I don't know how anyone could get along with me!!!

I am not well balanced!! (My poor children!!!) Grace? Did you do your son's chart?

He WILL be an awesome man! Because you are an awesome mother!!

David....thats funny! You are covering your ARSE. Late revolution came along and called it integrity. I strongly suspect that integrity is the correct word to relate to you AND my father.

Grace, it would be neat if we found ourselves related here, by way of this blog! Two of my dad's sisters moved to Missouri way back in the day. One died a few years ago but the oldest of his siblings moved back to TN about 8 years ago to an assisted living home. She is now 87 years old with dementia getting worse as time goes by. One of his brothers moved to California at a young age and married a lady there and stayed. Uncle died about a decade ago and his wife died a few years later. They had three children Glen, Jerry and Jennine. I met them once when they came to visit here in TN. but I was young. They lived in Sacramento. I don't know where they have gotten off to by now. We just didn't retain close ties to them.

Thank you for the compliment of the beauty of Tennessee. (as if I had something to do with it.) I wish I had been to California so that I could genuinely return the compliment. But of the pictures I've seen,,,,it's most lovely!

My second husband was from Fresno. I thought I might get to visit the state to meet his parents and siblings but the marriage was so short lived that I never made it out there! Maybe some day huh?

Tennessee has very many beautiful sites to see. West is more flat and has the new madrid fault line running through. YIKES!! They say that when that big earthquake hits it will flatten Memphis! (I'm afraid of earthquakes so I never set out for California out of FEAR of earthquakes as depicted on tv.) I know that's probably sad!

East Tennessee has the Great Smokey Mountain chain. I'm in the middle more toward the west with rolling hills and hollows. I grew up in a hollow and here with our southern accents we call them hollers!! LOL

We aren't like the people in the old "Deliverance' movie as TV might depict all southernors. But....a movie I saw recently....(and I know you rent movies) .... was "Inglorious Bastards" Brad Pitt (from east Tennessee in this movie) with his accent and mannerisms and belief system is very much the Tennessee that I know!! Not very cultured or diplomatic!!! Many of us have grown out of or away from his character but I have soooo many memories of his character in my earlier days!! I know people here still today that could match his character in that movie!

Grace, you know what's sad here to me? I live in a suburb inside the city limits. This past year, I've seen deer traveling through. That didn't happen before. Deer had enough room to roam. They didn't have to come here. But my city has become so overbuilt that it interferes with wildlife.

I saw a very tiny baby newborn on my own street inside the subdivision a few months back. And as I took my car out to the main highway, I encounted another along the side of the road that couldn't have been over a week old. In my whole life I have never seen babies left on the roads alone like that. Maybe mother deer was near by and I didnt' spot her? But that doesn't matter. Mother would not have normally allowed her baby that close to the road.

We always knew out in the country that we had to share the roads with the deer. They posted "deer crossing" signs. But here within the city......that's a new thing! I'm saddened by this. I think deer are beautiful creatures but I don't want to see them in my own sub-division because that's a bad sign for them. We are overbuilding!

Late revolution you are correct in stating that it was integrity. (What I call stubborn) My mother argued with him all the time because she wanted him to get "a real job" so that we could have money to buy stuff!! As a result, we kids sided with mom because we wanted more stuff! He wouldn't budge! His word was his bond and a hand shake wasn't even necessary. Although he taught us that word and hand shake were so important!! It was good to be his neighbor because you could count on him to be as good as his word which was excellent. But growing up in the house with him was difficult because he and my mother always fought over money matters! He looked very much like Andy Taylor on the Andy Griffith show!! The same southern accent and the same spirit of discernment. Uncanny now when I catch an old episode of that show.

"Aries will butt heads over everything they deem important."

That is what I deal with alot. It is hard on me, but i am learning.

"But don’t make him think that you are holding him back lest he turn on you to prove you wrong!!! "

Thanks, I will heed that advice.
lately, I think that the fact I was somewhat of a juvenile delinquent is reminding me of what I remember from being a teenager. I remember the cool parents were the ones that no matter how much trouble we got into, the cool parent would listen to the kid and hug the kid and help them. It seems valuable knowledge now. I always swore that if I were a parent, I would listen to my kid, no matter how bad it is and love and accept and help him. I've got my work cut out with my boy. In my heart I know he will be an awesome man, at the end of all this.

I always swore that if I were a parent, I would listen to my kid, no matter how bad it is and love and accept and help him. I’ve got my work cut out with my boy. In my heart I know he will be an awesome man, at the end of all this.
