The worst things get the louder their voices shout in denial, as if they shout loud enough they can make all that messy reality, that they don’t want to deal with, go away.

That’s one thing that deniers can’t stand, that’s the truth. They will go to great lengths to avoid it. They will join together to reinforce each others’ ignorance. They will try to destroy anyone who holds the truth up to them.

The Palestinian issue is a good example. The Israelis spin a tissue of lies to hide their atrocities and war crimes then the MSM across the world embellishes it further.

I’ve shared before on this blog that what opened my eyes to the Palestinian situation was an article I read about IOF destroying olive groves and I am deeply ashamed about this because before I read that article I really should have known.

And why should I have known? Because in 1990 my youngest daughter married a student from Palestine. How many times did my son in law try to to inform me about what his family had/has gone through? Many, but I was such a know-it-all, sure I knew about the Irgun & King David Hotel, but I knew about it through the Israeli perspective.

Hopefully I’ve evolved a bit in the last 20 years but it’s very hard to see myself as others do.

It’s getting thick here in the usa, but what else is new ; (
