Chalk And Cheese!
When Dalai met Barmy.
Friends, this week, two leaders met for a chat. They are two very different leaders. The one on the left is known as the Dalai Lama and he is the Spiritual Leader of Buddhist Tibet although he no longer lives there thanks to the Chinese Government. He is a man who has little power and no armies. Yet the Chinese Government fears him because he offers a threat to their control of the Communist State, the one that is now into capitalism in a big way.
The one on the right is the Commander in Chief of the world’s biggest, most powerful army. He can press buttons and launch the war to end all wars (because the world will no longer exist). He is in control of warships, nuclear submarines, fighter jets, cruise missiles, drones, etc. When he gives orders, millions of people jump! He is also President of a nation which holds 5% of the world’s people, a nation which, despite its small population, thinks it should control the world by force if necessary, that it was born to do so.
Now, I was not there during their chat so I don’t have any idea of what they talked about. Perhaps it went along the following lines:
DL. …Tibet is a small country and China is very big and powerful.
B. Not as powerful as America! Do you know how many nukes we…
DL. Killing people is not on my agenda, El Presidente.
B. Are you crazy? Not kill people! Since America started killing people in a big way…
DL. But don’t you understand, your Magnificence? Buddhists are peaceful. They don’t kill anything. Not even an ant.
B. Ants! Ants! I’ve got a red button. If I press it, whole nations disappear.
DL. Disappear! Mmmm. What about China?
B. A piece of cake. We can do China and Russia at the same time. But with China, they’re our biggest potential market. You don’t kill the Golden Goose while it’s laying, Dally. Not yet anyway.
DL. But won’t there be radiation damage across the world? Won’t those countries become uninhabitable?
B. Everything comes at a price, Dally old son! Long as we’re alright in our bunker and Wall Street is booming.
DL. Do you have a spiritual side?
B. I’ve got a few bottles of vintage bourbon stashed away where Michelle can’t find them. Why, do you want a shot?
DL. No, I meant do you consider the afterlife at all.
B. Yeah. After I leave the Presidency, I reckon I’ll earn a motza. Lecture tours, books. I’m on my way to the golden gravy train, Lammie! God has been kind to me.
DL. Do you believe in God?
B. Sure do. At least that’s what I tell the voters. I’ve even hinted that I’m also Jewish. God? I am God. I control what happens in the world.
DL. Well, I’m just a poor gypsy lost in the wilderness. Do you see my sandals?
B. Yeah, scrappy. Real scrappy. Well, religious types have to suffer so I’ve read. Why don’t you become a politician instead? It’s easy. People believe anything.
DL. I already know that! Is there a chance for me in America? In politics?
B. Not in that silly dress and those sandals. Besides you don’t kill things, ‘terrists’, you know.
DL. That’s true. But I can’t betray my spiritual calling, my people. Can you?
B. I’m a politician. I do it every day, Dally. Sorry, I got to go. Iran is on the agenda. Israel wants it vapourized. We’ll back it while it suits our purposes. And Chavez is…
DL. Does Israel dislike China too perhaps?
B. I don’t think they know China exists. Live in a weird world of their own, they do. Must be all that bobbing. Scrambles their brains. Tell you what, Lammie, I’ll have some Texas cowboy boots made for you. Sandals are out! And I’ll throw in an Elvis Presley wig too, one with gray sideburns. Gotta’ go.
DL. You’ve been so kind but my people are suffering under…
B. Dallama, don’t let the door hit you on the way out now! And don’t call me. I’ll call you.

I don’t even know what to say David. Is Obama using Dalai to thumb his public nose at China?
There seems to be a lot of posturing between USA and China right now over financial stuff. (Will China foreclose on the state of California) or something like that when US government can’t pay the interest on it’s debt to China?
Our bond market isn’t looking too promising and China was the biggest foreign holder of our debt. But they got all hard nosed and started selling US treasuries so now Japan is the biggest foreign holder of US debt. What is Obama trying to do? Surely he and the DL aren’t ‘friends’. ????????? Is Obama trying to tank the US economy faster by pissing off China??
I’m at a loss for words and thoughts! Help me with ideas you guys!

Dalai Lama is not so spiritual, but is a CIA asset, on its payroll, so says Webster Tarplay and many others. Most of the populace of Tibet may not be as accepting of his leadership, as some think. Check out http://www.abundanthope.net and http://www.rumormillnews.com.

I agree that the Dalai Lama is hyped, overblown and an asset, witting, or not. Look to no man/woman, or a God of Humankind’s creation, for spiritual guidance. Tap the power within….it’s called empowerment, and the more people who look inward, not outward, for focus and resolve, the better off this world will be. Looking to others for inspiration is fine, but it should go no further than that. There are so many false prophets looking to guide the unwitting down paths of glorious deception.
Something that has bothered me with appropriate criticism of the U.S. is how dissenters are pushing the message of backing anyone, whether it be China’s Communist Leaders, Chavez and Ahmadinejad and the Clerics, in their excoriation. We should avoid doing that. It’s a trap being set by intelligence services, and it’s not a message of true empowerment. Communist Chinese Leaders are as insidious as the West’s Plutocracy, so we should not champion their tyranny over the Western Plutocracy’s tyranny. The same holds true for Chavez and Ahmadinejad and Cleric rule in Iran. These are not empowering forms, anymore than Western Plutocracy is an empowering form, so let’s not choose sides in this fight. Both are losing propositions. We need to create our own empowered propositions and that starts by thinking for yourself rather than deferring to a small group of Tyrants to do your thinking and bidding for you.
Obliterate hierarchical social/economic/political structure and we set ourselves free to evolve. It will also mark the end of Civilization…which is a good thing, as Martha is so fond of saying.

Because of H.H.D.L., Tibet has remained in the public consciousness. That seems like a good thing. – A peaceful, autonomous people, with a unique culture that gets in meetings with POTUS is a rare commodity these days. Tibet may not be acknowledged by the UN, but Presidents have a history of meeting with the DL. Because of the awareness of Tibet, the world has been made aware of the damage to the land – there at the top of the world – at the hands of the Chinese and how they Chinese govt. imprisons monks and nuns. DL has remained a constant thorn in the side of China.
DL has always encouraged his people toward peaceful means. Now this either makes him a Ghandhi type OR as Malcolm X pointed out: Every culture except the white man is encouraged to be non-violent. Making, peaceful means, a tool of the ruling class to keep people quietly subjugated.
I must say – I wasnt’ sure what to say at first – but BHO and DL look darned happy! Now, either, H.H. (His Holiness), blessed BHO and he is radiating spiritually ecstasy OR, they both know they are – PISSING off China – and nothing gives them both more pleasure!
Oh, not California! This is what we fear. More and more Chinese show up by the day. They migrate in a closed society – so they have no need to smile or be friendly to the locals. They are extremely competetive and spit on the ground right as you pass them. No one can talk about this much because we are not supposed to be xenophobic. As well as this does not come naturally to Californians because we have a history of being multicultural and friendly.
Help!

Therese,
The following is from your linked website. Sorry, but I don’t subscribe to the view that climate change is a hoax. I do subscribe to the notion that the Ruling Elite have co-opted it and are now directing both ends of the debate in order to realize their own ends. The “Green” Movement is a bunch of garbage being proffered to make the wealthy wealthier, but will do nothing to mitigate the environmental disaster. The article I have linked to from the website you linked to is misdirection and containment and we need to be vigilant and call it out when we see it.

Friends, I think that baiting China is part of the game. Given America’s financial debts, this would appear to be a stupid move but America is known for such gross miscalculations!
Regarding links, they need to be viewed with a careful eye. There are links on the internet that seem to prove every viewpoint known to humankind!
