The Brutal Reality Of War!
These are some of the professional murderers who don’t care who they kill!
Friends, we live in a world that is filled with war. To many people, the word ‘WAR’ means little or nothing.
They live far away from any war zone. They watch news that has all the unpleasant and hideous realities of war blotted out. They hear about missiles being fired, terrorists being killed and to them it means absolutely nothing. Instead they look at their share portfolio, check how much their armament shares have risen.
Unlike them, this woman knows what war means. She will carry the memory of what war means to her grave. She will think about the life that her dead son might have had if war hadn’t taken him away. She will spend many nights crying but it will change nothing because what war does can’t be undone.
She will also spend many hours cursing the ones who brought war to her country, who destroyed it, who made it a living hell, who not only killed her son but many of her friends and relatives. She will feel hate for the country that led the invasion, that carried out the occupation, that tortured civilians, that blew up wedding parties, that used depleted uranium, etc.
But her hate will mean nothing to the politicians who brought about the war, to the Generals who planned it, to the soldiers, seamen and pilots who carried out the destruction, who blew innocent children to bits, absolutely nothing. “We were just doing our job,” they’ll say with a shrug, “just protecting our country!”
But they know that that is a lie! They know that their country is involved in grabbing power, grabbing resources, grabbing control of the world.
But the dead boy shown above knows nothing, not even what school was like. He can’t even feel the warmth of his mother’s farewell embrace.
May all warmongers be ETERNALLY DAMNED!
P.S. Thanks to Common Dreams and Reuters for the photographs!

WAR IS HELL on earth:
and the number of casualties due to the ‘ war’ (if we are told – at all?) are far from the real number of dead, maimed AND deadly CANCER-INFLICTED.
=========
Doctors say they are struggling to cope with the rise of cancer and birth defects, especially in cities subjected to heavy American and British bombardment.
A few examples:
In Falluja, (heavily bombarded by the US in 2004) as many as 25% of new- born infants have serious abnormalities, including congenital anomalies, brain tumors, and neural tube defects in the spinal cord.
The cancer rate in the province of Babil, south of Baghdad has risen from 500 diagnosed cases in 2004 to 9,082 in 2009 according to Al Jazeera English.

David, you feel as strongly about the horrors of war as I do and it is very frustrating for me to know that there is very little we can do about it as long as AIPAC controls the U.S. Congress. It appears to me that a majority of people in America actually believe that we are at “war” in the Middle East to keep us “safe”. It wouldn’t occur to them to not believe what our media, with few exceptions, tell them. We have been brainwashed for so long and those who are benefitting (those with deep pockets, no conscience, and no family member in harm’s way) will continue to fool the people. There are a few exceptions in Congress, but unfortunately they are in the minority. We can continue to have hope as long as we have sites such as yours and Common Dreams, among others..

John, only deranged minds could have come up with depleted uranium explosives. It’s as if blowing people to bits is not enough, you have to slowly kill the survivors. War to me demonstrates very clearly just what human are capable of!
Robert, you share with me the belief that it’s the deep indoctrination of the average American that guarantees that war will never stop. To any intelligent, decent person, war is ridiculous and achieves nothing except to bring destruction and create hatred.
To twisted, greedy, racist folk it brings power and blood-covered wealth!

Dolce, when you have a warmongering nation like America (which is supported by aggressive nations like the U.K.), then you have the potential for endless war.
I cannot believe that such an archaic phenomenon still exists in 2010. Surely the world has seen enough war to know it achieves nothing but death and destruction and hatred. Yet it continues and profits continue to be made from it.
The civilized world needs to shun the warmongers and those who make the armaments and munitions of war. To continue with war is to invite annihilation!

U.S. imperialism is a fact, and anybody denying its existence has his head buried in the sands of ignorance. It has traditionally sided with fascist regimes over left-leaning governments, as has always been evident in Latin America. U.S. interference in Chile, El Salvador, and Guatemala are among the most notorious in brutality and loss of life, thanks to U.S. intervention.
America is controlled by militaristic, flag-waving loudmouths whose favorite greed-motivated philosophy embodies “my way or the highway,” “no guts, no glory,” and “intestinal fortitude.” Meanwhile, most of its citizens are engrossed in their thick crust double cheese meat lovers pizzas, hot wings with ranch dressing, and triple cheese bacon burgers, and washing them down with Bud Lite while their enormous posteriors are parked in front of their big-screen TVs, rooting for their favorite football teams.
The meaning of war is not necessarily forgotten, but rather blocked out with more pressing interests, like texting and twittering, videogames and celebrity gossip, and opining on issues that really matter to their limited minds, like the Super Bowl, gay marriage, and the evils of socialism.
America has done much to make the world a violent, impoverished, and ugly place. But it isn’t alone in this accomplishment. Uganda, Somalia, Mexico, Colombia, and Iran come to mind, on a smaller scale of course. And never forget what the Serbs did in Srebrenica.

Judge Joe
I thank you for the good point you made – so right it is, the most of it.
I just want to ask what an incident (if there is one?) do you have in mind – when you mention Iran, as one of those who ” make the world a violent, impoverished, and ugly place. ?
I just want to know because I see Iran as one of the most peaceful countries on earth in these times of what mankind are showing to the world what it’s capable of, of various destructions in e.g. Iraq and Afghanistan.
I did a search on the internet with “Iran genocide” and I got this.
What I think is funny, when reading these following link is, how busy the Israelis is about to warn the world against this ‘overwhelming’ treath. when, in fact Iran is, (and has shown for the last hundreds year or so to be) the most peaceful country in the world..
READ MORE from these links
(and decide for youself if those stories qualify Iran to a bad an ‘ugly place.? )

SREBRENICA:
with regards to the Srebrenica ‘genocide’ it has been the most hype up incident of ‘genocide’ in the world since the corporate media CNN International etc did it’s entry on NEWS-channel scenary in the nineties and all those lies is seldom, or never expose by the corporate media, as well .
I found this: SREBENICA a lie: What really happened in Srebrenica?
“When the Bosnian Serb Army recaptured the town of Srebrenica five years ago, Dutch UN peacekeepers were the only Western observers present. The Dutch UN peacekeepers ridicule Clinton Administration claims that Serbian troops massacred thousands of disarmed Muslims:”
“Everybody is parroting everybody [about Srebrenica] but nobody shows hard evidence………..continued….
“The Myth: The Western media has used the Myth of Srebrenica to slander the Serbian people for five years. The idea is: repeat a lie enough times and people will believe it.”

Thank you, John L, for posting that link. It is unbelievable to me that people, especially so-called liberals, still support the attack on Yugoslavia. Even now, after “9-11 changed everything”, the US support for the Muslin KLA in Kosovo, for whom so many Arab Afghan veterans, including the 9-11 boogey man, Osama BinLaden, has not changed. Of course, they need Camp Bonsteel to threaten Russia, and the KLA is a good organization to help run Afghan heroin into Europe. Big profits there!
And after the US attacked Iraq and engaged in the most outrageous ethnic cleansing of all, resulting in over 1 million deaths and 3 million refugees, with Baghdad literally walled into separate ethnic enclaves, how can any American complain about the imaginary Serb ethnic cleansing. Serbia today is still the most diverse place of the former Yugoslavia.
And, as the article you posted points out, the American habit of calling each new target the new “Hitler” was appallingly egregious in the case of the Serbs, who were victims of the Croats and the Muslims who allied with the REAL Hitler 50 years before, including some of the actual same people, who crawled from their holes, emboldened by American support, money and weapons, to repeat the actions in the 90s that they had in the 40s.
The attack on Yugoslavia was a new program rolled out to see how it would fly, calling armed attacks “humanitarian intervention”. You see it now as the US announces that it must send more troops to Afghanistan, “to save the women”. Never mind that the women are much worse off after 8 years of US occupation. Especially the brides bombed on their wedding days. We are to pretend that 8 years means nothing and that the US really means well.
Which brings us to Haiti. The propaganda is astounding! How can they talk about the poverty of Haiti without mentioning the years of attacks by France and the US.
And Obama has the nerve to appoint Bush and Clinton to lead the “relief efforts”.
Bush, who was the second Bush to support coups against the elected leader of Haiti, Aristide,
and Clinton, who put him back in power only after ensuring that he would go along with the neocon agenda?
Why is Haiti so poor? Maybe if the US wouldn’t have invaded and occupied it for so many years, supported the dictators, dumped cheap rice on it, throwing their farmers out of work and into crowded slums, where they work for 30 cents an hour, while the country is forced to pay $1,000,000 a week to the banksters.
Democracy Now pointed out that 30 years ago, Haiti was food self sufficient, but after 30 years of “aid” they were forced to eat mud earlier this year.
What an insult to the Haitian people to have two of the biggest living criminals against their country put in charge of “helping” them. This sends a clear message that Obama means no better for those people, no matter what his skin pigmentation is.

Therese, such lowlife have no conscience which is why they survive so well.
Coco, most humans are indoctrinated to accept that war is a part of being human. Such a proposition is ridiculous. War is ridiculous. No sane, intelligent person would ever consider involving themselves in war.
Judge Joe, you say: “America is controlled by militaristic, flag-waving loudmouths.” Amen, brother! I probably would’ve added ‘brain-dead’ as well.
I wonder what it would take to turn people against war? A nuclear war might do it but there mightn’t be too many suvivors!

I finally figured out how to indoctrinate our kids through seemingly innocent computer games. When Donkey Kong or Mario are wearing ties and suits they are good guys. When the same guys put on their war outfits they are the bad guys then and don’t expect them to act like the good guys. Reminds me of the soldiers in the picture above. They are loving husbands and dads when they are back home in their regular clothes.

Grace, when men commit atrocities, I can’t see how they can ever become loving husbands and dads when they return home. They are psychologically damaged forever!

That is what a Hydrogen Bomb is for, David. It will just kill the people and leave the buildings standing.
Yes, some people who have buttons and mugs that say “I love America” actively support the biggest fascists around.
Judge Joe, If America were burning, – and Israel, God forbid, was burning, which one do you think that the people who call themselves American , but at heart consider themselves Israeli, would save from sure death in the fire?

JohnLJ, I mentioned Iran in my list because of the country’s official violence toward those who do not live up to fundamentalist Islamic tenets. One outrage I speak of is the public beating and hanging of two teenaged boys accused of being homosexual. Any country that tolerates such brutality certainly contributes to the ugliness of the world. Just the fact that married Iranian couples must even ski on separate slopes is enough to draw attention to that country’s injustices.
As for what occurred in Bosnia in 1992, just the expression “ethnic cleansing” refers to the savagery of the Serbian army.
Thank you for the response and the dignified dialogue.

Grace, do you refer to the people who enjoy both Israeli and US citizenship? Who has an answer for such an inflammatory question? Nobody would be saved in a conflagration of such proportions.

What in the blazes is meant by the term, “inflamatory question”? Ask away, dear Grace.

I can’t imagine the heartbreak mothers feel when their beautiful children are killed by imperialist bombs and bullets. For the life of me, I don’t understand how the U.S. and its proxy in the middle east get away with slaughtering innocents. Again, thank you for the picture David, even though it’s painful to see I still want to know what crimes my warmongering country is getting away with. It’s truly shameful.

Judge joe, it seems strange to pick out Iran and criticize it for anti-gay activities when the U.S. is filled with the same attitudes and prejudices. And why talk about Serbia when the U.S. is slaughtering people in many locations in the world and plans on escalating further?
Grace, your question is an interesting one! I guess the answer lies in the amount of money the U.S. has invested in Israel!
Kristen, people generally seem to be immune to the horror and suffering that war causes. Not the folk who lived through WW2 of course. They felt the full horror. The U.S. has only had Pearl Harbor and 9/11 thus far, so they have largely escaped the reality.
If Americans suffered what the Iraqis and the Afghanis have for a few years, they mightn’t be so keen on war!
Cheers!

David G, as an American who deals daily with people who still have McCain/Palin campaign posters in their windows and on their fenceposts, and even Bush/Cheney bumper stickers. I’m quite familiar with the ingrained homophobia of most people. They live a cartoon-like existence where everybody is imagined as a stereotype, and anyone unlike the mainstream populace is generalized by the most extreme image they can conjure up: all priests are pedophiles, all Mexicans are thieves, all blacks are lazy, all Polish are stupid, all Jews have big noses, all gays are flaming drag queens, all Moslems are terrorists.
However, the U.S. does not share the same attitude toward homosexuals as the Islamic nations in the Middle East, Souheast Asia, and Africa. These places have a bloodthirsty, even savage approach toward gays. The U.S., like parts of Latin America, has a brand of machismo that permeates its identity. Gays here are often denied equality in housing and employment, fired from teaching jobs in most states, frequently disowned by their families, and subject to many other subtle forms of discrimination. And, of course, there’s the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” regulation in the military. But anti-gay activities in this country do not include the practice of publicly humiliating and executing known or suspected gay people. That’s the difference between here and there. I mentioned Iran as only one place where such atrocities take place, maybe not in the streets if downtown Teheran, but in other cities and towns in that huge country.
Understand, please, that my mention of Serbia was to illustrate that the USA is not the only country capable of wanton warfare. I could have mentioned any number of places in the world where violence and genocide have taken place. Unfortunately, the ringleader of perpetual war during this ugly period of history is the USA. Countless Americans are ashamed, frustrated, and angry with this state of violence, fueled by the military-industrial complex, the all-powerful oil companies, the fanatical support for Israel, and the well-provided for politicians. Unfortunately, countless more are brainwashed into thnking and saying out loud that if we weren’t fighting over there, we’d be fighting here.
I appreciate the dignity with which the commentators on this site are respectful and know how to disagree with decorum.

Judge joe, as you would appreciate, most peoples’ attitudes and beliefs are shaped by indoctrination which starts in the home and is continued by governments, schools, the media, etc. On this site we try to expose indoctrination whenever it appears as you have done so well in your comment especially in the second last paragraph.
At the moment, American people are being exposed to strong indoctrination about Iran. They are being readied for war on another front by the President who stood on a platform of change.
The killing of the atomic scientist in Tehran was clearly set up by Western forces to further stir things up, to demonize Iran, to justify an attack which I sense is not too far away.
If that attack comes, the world will go up in smoke!
Cheers.

Indeed, David. The U.S.of A. gives to Israel, every year, unconditionally. This year it is around 3Billion. The only condition this time ’round is that Israel must use some of the money to buy a certain amount of American made weapons. My taxes pay for the protection of Israel. It seems like there are lots of people in the Middle East who need money and protection! The arrangement with Israel is clearly part of America’s Imperial ambitions. It has revealed itself to be a murderous, crime and atrocity filled arrangement! I do not want to support this! Anyone of conscience must not support this!! THERE IS ANOTHER WAY!

Conspiracy Theories With Jesse Ventura focused on possible 2012 catastrophes, and gave irrefutable evidence that underground cities, mammoth in size, have been built underground in the USA, and one still is, under the airport in Denver, Colo., which probably explains all of the doomsday and masonic symbols on their walls. Could this also be for the zionist powers-that-be, when their forces attack Iran.
