How Many States Has The U.S. Got?

Goya’s prophetic painting of the U.S. devouring the world.

Friends, if you check your dictionary, you’ll find that the United States is supposed to have 50 States plus a few Territories like American Samoa, Porto Rico and Guam. I think this figure is highly dubious.

I suppose it depends how you count things. I mean do you mean States that can elect an American President (States like Texas or Hawaii)? Or do you mean States and/or Nations that are subservient to the military might of the U.S. because they deludedly think that America will save them in the event of a nuclear war (Australia and the U.K. plus some European nations are in this camp)?

Or do you mean States and/or Nations that are receiving conditional aid from the U.S. (conditional aid, like that given to Egypt, is given on the proviso that Egypt does whatever the U.S. and its ugly little brother, Israel, demand.)

Or do you mean States and/or Nations which were invaded by the U.S. long ago, then occupied on a permanent basis (Germany and Japan fall into this category along with Korea)? Or do you mean more recent occupations such as occurred in Iraq and Afghanistan (where oil and gas happen to be located in great abundance and where dubious puppet governments controlled by America now prevail?

Or do you mean States and/or Nations that are controlled by Royal Despots who, if they toe the American line, can deny their people any of the fruits of democracy, freedom and human rights which America is supposed to champion (countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt fall into this camp)? Or do you mean underdeveloped States and/or Nations that have signed advantageous trade deals with the U.S. (advantageous to the U.S. that is) who must adopt a servile attitude otherwise their unsubsidized goods will be permanently frozen out of American markets in which American farmers, etc, are heavily subsidized  (India could fall into this camp)?

Or do you mean States and/or Nations whose governments are covertly controlled by the FBI and the CIA, organizations which have access to huge amounts of money and who regularly organize coups and fund armed militias and set up false flag operations? Or do you mean States and/or Nations like Yemen whose leader can ring up Obomber and order Cruise Missiles to be delivered to selected locations where opponents of the Yemeni Government gather or what about Pakistan where U.S. drones fill the skies?

Or do you mean States and/or Nations like Columbia and Mexico which have requested American military assistance to help control rebels or drug cartels (once they get in, they tend to build military bases and stay)? Or do you mean… I think I’ve probably made my point!

Friends, I think that if you added up all the States and/or Nations that one way or another march to America’s tune, there wouldn’t be 52 States in the United States of America but perhaps closer to a 152!

Perhaps it’s time to stop the insatiable American monster in its tracks before our world, our freedoms and all our human rights disappear entirely.

David

Good to know it goes well where you are, – also that Australia has got some rain.

APROPOS, the weather in Denmark

It is very / DAMN cold -10-20degre C. here, with a heavy carpet-layer of snow , in some places up to above 1 metre.
Oh lord, oh lord, do NOT let this masses of snow become feed for a blizzard.

The todays subject is very appropriate.

Just to put some names on the ’story’, which tells much, if not all. I think it’s appropriate to show (again) the UNSC voting results on the Goldstone rapport on Israel and it’s perpetrated war crime in Gaza.

Also to make sure that everyone sees the results, since the MAINSTREAM MEDIA AREN’T REPORTING IT at all. ((Spread the information, please.))

John thanks for your comment. It shows part of the story because the U.S. is very skillful in pulling strings and it does it in a variety of ways, some obvious, some not!! The dire threat that the U.S. poses is real and it is dangerous. Driven as it is by an extreme religious-militarist-corporatist-greed-based ideology, it must not be allowed to control the world!

Yesterday, when I arrived home in the late afternoon, I had 60 comments to read through! Of course many of them were part of ongoing conversations and showed that Dangerous Creation is a happening site that continues without my presence! Thank you to all who contributed and special thanks to those who took the trouble to send me good wishes. I won’t have as many next week because I’ll monitor the site daily from Sydney!

I’ve survived the first week without major problems and I’ve got lawns to mow because of the good rain, etc,, before I return on Sunday. The radiology treatment, as has been mentioned by others, has a cumulative effect so I don’t know how long I’ll be able to keep up the back and forth routine!

Cheers to all and please take care!

Friends, I know that this is a difficult post. It requires the type of thinking that dismisses all the massive ‘patriotism’ indoctrination that each American has received from birth and looks at the facts.

America is either the ‘beacon on the hill’ or it is building an Empire which seeks to control the world by force! It can’t do both.

Which is it?

America has been building empire for a very long time. In it’s present state I don’t see how anyone could view America as a ‘beacon on the hill’ any longer. Even the soldiers know they are fighting for wrong reasons. The link below goes to a you tube video called ‘Amazing speech from an Iraq war veteran. I watched it this week but am having difficulty getting it to open on my computer this morning. Maybe it will open for you all.

It is becoming obvious to – I would like to say Everybody_ that we are “over there” to Take Over The World and all the natural resurcess in it!
We used to be a country that cares about “human interest stories.” People still care, but that is not what is shoveled into our farm-fed mouths.
No jobs because the same effers that outsourced our best jobs at the height of our success are the same ones now pulling the plug.. …Schwartzenegger and his Cronies took California by coup and have done: no good. The Prison Worker’s Union is the largest most powerful in the State and that evil fool takes his share from them. He never represented this State. He has no sense of stewardship of this great place. BOLD, they are!

I heard that because of a progressive tax in Sweden(?), a man paid $100,000 for a speeding ticket because he was extremely wealthy and the fine was based on a percentage of your wealth! That is fantastic! If we had that we wouln’t be seein hungry people and schools closing and cutting back on our children’s and all the people’s futures.

David, thank you for your recent words.

Love and Peace.

i don’t think it really matters how many ’states’ the u.s. has………….
what’s more important, is what ’state’ the u.s is in…………….

Kathy, there are many people who still think that America is the ‘beacon on the hill.’ These are mainly Americans. Getting them to see the ugly reality of their country is our task! Thanks for the link!

Grace, that fine imposed in Sweden is great news. If we could tax the wealthy out of existence, it would solve many of our world’s problems.

Coco, very clever! :) Goya’s painting accurately portrays the ’state’ of the U.S.!

Subverted. Michael Scherwin, former CIA, answered on C-SPAN, that we need to be making friends with the Muslims, and stop all these wars for Israel, which is of no use to the USA strategically or any other which way. He went on to itemize, and as a result, a few angry jews, of course, called in. You can listen at David Duke’s website, if you don’t mind going there. The question to him from an angry gentile, that resulted in such an answer, was excellent.

Scheuer, 1/04/10 on C-Span. Also, as a companion piece to this report by David G., the feature article at aangirfan, is “USA, Israel, India versus Pakistan and China”.

Ah, Therese, thanks for your info and links. The big question remains: how does the rest of the world change the genetic composition of Americans with their predisposition towards violence and greed?

Cheers.
