Imagine a tidal wave this high!
Friends, if you think about it, there are many tsunamis that threaten our world at this point in time.
Of course, the most recent tsunami of the oceanic kind struck Samoa just a few weeks ago and caused a great deal of damage and loss of life (183). That kind of tsunami is caused by movement in the many plates which form the earth’s crust. Such movements, if they are large enough, can create waves that reach well over 14 metres in height and they may travel thousands of kilometres at speeds up to 1000 kph.
Of course you’ll all remember the December 26th 2004 tsunami in Sumatra that killed 240,000 people and affected countries as far away as Africa and India.
I guess it would be fair to describe global warming as a tsunami as well, one that affects the world’s climate. Like its oceanic brother, this kind of tsunami impacts on the world’s weather patterns and can create severe storms, hurricanes, and very heavy rain which also bring destruction and loss of life. Britain had a taste of the latter recently as has Australia. Contrarily, accompanying weather related tsunamis are severe droughts which impact negatively on the food supply.
The world is making a half-hearted attempt to deal with the greenhouse gas emissions which are responsible for global warming but the big polluters and the companies which sell the fossil fuels that generate greenhouse gases are engaging in determined foot dragging because they don’t want their profits to decrease even if they are destroying the world.
Of course there is also the tsunami which has been created by the global financial crisis. That tsunami, which is still in progress, has swept across the world and left many people poorer or bankrupt. Billions of dollars of taxpayers’ money has been used to prop up or bailout banks and corporations, the ones that created the financial crisis. We may be coming out of that tsunami although it is still too early to tell!
But there is another tsunami which is gaining momentum too. It’s a tsunami which is generated by militarism and nationalism, a sickness that has afflicted the world since humans became ‘civilized’. Yes, there is a struggle going on in the world between the imperial American Empire, the re-emerging empire of Russia, and the emerging empires of China and India.
This tsunami dwarfs anything that can be created by greenhouse gases or the movement of the plates or poor financial investments because of the nuclear weapons that many nations possess. Should the ambitions of the competing empire builders erupt into war (over resources or strategically important territory or markets), the resultant destruction and loss of life would make the December 26th tsunami look like a ripple on a pond.
We do live in perilous times. Geological forces, weather forces, financial eruptions and the mindless militarism of humans could bring us all undone.
Only the first is unpreventable! There is no excuse for the others.
In the natural world their has to be a balance between predator and prey. In the economic world we have Capitalism as totally predatory and we the people are the prey…the righting of the terrible inbalance between the haves and the have nots would bring Peace to our world…individually we strive for more cooperative driven endeavors..folling are two quotes that are inspirational..please take the time to refect..the words wisdom helps me to keep balance in my life…
“It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belif that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hopeand crossing each other form a million different centers of energy and daring. These ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” Robert F. Kennedy
“I am done with great things and big things, great instutions and big success, and I am for those tiny, invisible molecular moral forces, that work from individual to individual , creeping thru the crannies of the world like so many rootlets, or like the capillary oozing of water , yet which, if you give them time, will rend the mightiest monuments of men’s pride.”

Below is an article I received this morning in one of my news letters. I don’t know if you guys have been keeping up with this Climategate scandal but this article seems to recap much of what’s going on. Al Gore has been met with so many questions at his recent book signings that he has had many people carried out by security guards. (People aren’t being allowed to ask Gore questions about these thousands of leaked emails and files.) Now he has cancelled his speech at Copenhagen. I wonder if this will halt the cap and trade laws or carbon tax laws around the world from being implemented? The timing of this computer hacking is most interesting!
————————————————————————————————–
Joel Bowman, reporting from Taipei, Taiwan…
“In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual.” – Galileo Galilei, contrarian astronomer.
In times of yore, annoyingly inquisitive skeptics were urged to avoid engaging in impolite subjects such as religion and politics and, instead, were encouraged to chitty-chat about more benign topics, like the weather. Alas, thanks to a rather inconvenient documentary, our atmospheric conversational safe haven was not to last long into the new century. Now even the weather – and, more to the point, who or what causes it – is considered out of bounds, certainly in politically “mixed” company.
There is little doubt that global warming is a touchy subject. One questions it the same way one questions a man’s right to bare arms south of the Mason Dixon line: with his hands above his head and at his own peril.
But why so uptight? Is it simply that folks don’t like to converse on topics they disagree on, as if – if they could only learn to ignore their differences – they might just resolve themselves naturally? Hmmn…
It could be that the debate touches on a variety of other subjects, simmering close below the surface, that we humans are also uncomfortable discussing. Believers, perhaps, feel a sense of guilt. They’ve driven too far, watched too many YouTube clips, eaten too many hamburgers and, in doing so, generally contributed enough tons of CO2 to end civilization as we know it. That’s gotta be hard to live down. No wonder they don’t want the subject raised.
But what about the skeptics? Well, they’ve got their own problems to deal with.
To hold that anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is a farce, that the books were – if you’ll pardon the pun – cooked, you’d have to believe that governments around the world are colluding to extort a crippling tax on citizens in an effort to save us from – gulp – ourselves. You’d have to suspect that those same governments were in bed with high- flying investment firms and individual insiders who might stand to pocket billions inventing and trading carbon credits and various other enviro-derivatives. And you’d have to believe that an Academy Award winning Nobel Peace Prize recipient is either a mildly convincing actor…or a menace to humanity…or, indeed, both.
But that’s not all. As of a couple of weeks ago, to suspect that AGW is a con, you must believe that private emails exchanged between climatologists responsible for providing the “consensus” data – emails in which were divulged methods of suppressing data, excluding dissenting viewpoints and manipulating evidence – were in some way damning or that they might actually undermine the scientific credibility of the heretofore unchallengeable AGW doctrine.
By now you have surely heard about the “Climategate” scandal setting the blogosphere ablaze. In case you accidentally stumbled on this fringy outlet and you usually stick to the mainstream media, here’s a very quick wrap of what you likely missed. In late November, hackers broke into the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (CRU) in England, one of the four official sources of global temperature data used by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC. The exposed emails and files were then leaked to various media outlets and published on Al Gore’s “Internet.” The results were, ahem, interesting…
Here are a couple of teasers:
“I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (i.e. from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.”
And…
“The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.”
Professor Phil Jones, CRU director, has stepped aside from his post at the University while an independent investigation is underway there. And, in what may be a sheer coincidence, the Oscar-decorated Nobel Laureate mentioned above has since canceled the lecture he planned to deliver at the crucial Copenhagen Climate Summit, due to kick off on Monday. Organizers would like disappointed fans and nut-job conspiracy theorists with long-range scopes to know that full refunds will be given in lieu of his presentation.
But what does this have to do with finance and economics, readers wonder. Actually, quite a lot.
Estimates vary on how much a proposed “cap-and-trade” plan might cost. Depending on where you get your figures – which seems to be a recurring caveat surrounding this whole discussion – annual cost to the US alone could be between $200-$350 billion, or roughly $1,750 – $3,000 per household. (We did see one global estimate of $23 trillion…but decided to discard that as a statistical outlier.)
President Obama himself said that energy costs were likely to “skyrocket” under his plan. One memorandum cited by various newsagencies, which was prepared for Obama’s transition team after last November’s election, estimates that, “Economic costs will likely be on the order of 1 percent of GDP, making them equal in scale to all existing environmental regulation.”
Critics, predictably, rebuke those figures, claiming that they are typically inflated and that their government would never spend that much money on a bogus scheme. Besides, “how can you put a price on human life…huh, huh!?”
Depending on what side of the debate you reside – skeptic or believer – action or inaction will cost you, respectively, thousands of dollars per year in additional taxes and the surrender of your liberty to a world government, or, your life and that of all future generations.
That’s quite a debate we’re not allowed to have for fear of offending polite company, eh?

Even if the IPCC data is fudged, which seems to be the case, other organizations are also tracking climate change and they all say the same thing. Our planet is growing warmer and man is the reason.
I am sure that businesses that contribute the most to that change and people who don’t want to change their lifestyle will jump on this info and do everything they can to stop the reforms that are so badly needed if our grandchildren are to have any chance of a decent life.
It seems like conditions will have to become really desperate before any meaningful action is taken and by then it will be way too late.
Why must so many of us be so greedy that we cannot see what we are doing to the only home we have and to our own children and grandchildren?
Here in the US all the mainstream talking heads are saying the recession is over and the good times will so be back. They forget to mention that those good times were destroying us!
I loved your quotes Kate.
Reply
Kate, I loved the quotes. The world is built on economic inequality with the have-nots striving to become the haves. But the game is rigged to advantage the haves who, for selfish reasons, need to keep themselves separate from the masses.
Kathy, we haven’t heard a lot about this Climate-gate issue down under. But the Conservative Party here (in opposition) has just elected a new leader who has abandoned the cap and trade idea calling it a massive tax which will do nothing.
Jeannie, the rape of our planet has been going on for more than a century. Climate change is just another manifestation. Even birds don’t foul their nests.
Of course the tsunami of nuclear war will make the others seem insignificant!
Cheers.
Reply
Jeannie, I hope they do stop the reforms that are currently on the table for global climate change. All of the organizations out there have NOT agreed with the so called “consensus” on the science but according to these emails and files that have been discovered, they have done their best to silence these other organizations.
I would be the first to admit as David said that “even birds don’t foul their nests.” This planet has been raped, plundered and polluted for years and years and we need to change that. We have been takers and consumers never giving back anything of equal measure or importance.
But the reforms on the table are not the answer. When people are literally taxed to the point where they can’t live…..then they die. When I die, some large corporation can then buy the carbon credits that were alloted to me. They can always keep on polluting as long as they can pay for the credits! I don’t want them to be able to keep on polluting at any price for whatever amount of carbon credits!! The point for me would be learning to use less and less instead of a few being able to pay for more and more pollution.
We, most of us have already learned to do what it seems that we can. When I was a kid out in the country all my neighbors and my family had a barrell in their back yards that we burned our trash in. But we don’t do that anymore. Thank goodness! 307 million Americans burning trash would create quite a stink! We have recycle centers and everyone I know recycles what they can. We use better light bulbs, we use more energy efficient building materials and insulation to conserve. More of us are composting etc etc. Some who could afford it changed to solar and wind turbine energy.
Inventions have come along the way for clean energy and engines that can run on water that don’t pollute but my understanding is that those great inventions that could have helped this planet on a grand scale have either been stolen and silenced or bought out and silenced.
The militaries of the world have developed technologies that alter the weather. Google Search HAARP and find all you can on that technology. It was thought that if you could control the enemy’s weather by either drought, flooding, creating earthquakes, tsunamis then you could damage, destroy or at least slow down your enemy. What a powerful invention! Now if only they could use those powers for good instead of evil…….
Instead of imposing taxes on us I would rather see a rationing. Stop making SUVs and then people can’t drive them! (Al Gore and cronies) When a factory is polluting…shut it down. If that factory is manufacturing something that is really needed then it needs to come up with a way to open back up and operate with clean energy. If that can’t be accomplished then we need to learn to live without whatever they were producing or we learn to produce it at a local level without pollution.
If by creating a product a company produces toxic waste that has to be dumped somewhere, shut it down.
In our own history it is interesting to note that the marijuana tax act of 1937 brought about a big change for America. Before that time it was quite legal and hemp growing was a big crop. Hemp provided paper (save the trees) it provided material much like linen and it is said that Betsy Ross sewed the first American flag from this material. Henry Ford’s first vehicle had many components made of hemp. Ropes and netting were made from hemp and it was still considered the strongest material so that when we entered WWII the government allowed hemp to be grown again (just for the war effort) to provide the military with the strong materials needed to fight the war. After the war was over, it went back to it’s full illegal status. Hemp oil was burned in lanterns and used as a biomass/renewable fuel. It was good for the soil to grow hemp to prepare the soil for rotation crops.
Cannibas (the sister of hemp) was prescribed by doctors about 1/3 of the time for whatever ailed you. But big pharma doesn’t want it to ever be legal again because that cuts into their prozac and xanax sales!! DuPont doesn’t want hemp legal in America because that cuts into their plastics and synthetics industry. (nothing bio-degradeable there!)
David I agree with you that if the nuclear tsunami comes along, none of the other’s will matter. Surely some country (empire) will try to show their muscle by setting one of these things off. But one other tsunami that you didn’t mention is biological warfare. They have discovered in their quest for resources that it is far cheaper to de-populate and leave resources in tact by spreading germs. (Kill the people but don’t totally destroy the world) It is the desire of many of the elite to de-populate the earth. Some believe the best balance for nature would be about 500 million people which means killing off roughly 6 billion of us in one way or another. Research ‘Georgia Guidestones’ Research (eugenics) too.
The big tsunami is going to be all that you mentioned above combined…plus biological weapons… the spread of viruses and diseases.
Reply
Kathy, I guess I lumped chemical and biological weapons in with the military/nuclear tsunami, one which will probably be started by Israel. Besides, I didn’t want to depress everyone entirely!
Your well-reasoned comment is appreciated. I hope that some humans, albeit a small number, are learning to do with less. This of course will annoy the capitalists but serves them right. Closing down toxic or polluting industries makes commonsense too but when in this madhouse of a world has commonsense ever been employed by many humans?
I know it’s easy to be pessimistic about the future but, today is one of my optimistic days. I do have them occasionally!
Reply
David please enjoy your optimistic day! I don’t mean to depress anyone because I really do believe there is hope for our human species. I see proof of it here on your blog. All the people who come here and add their comments care so much about our world.
I would like to live in a hippie commune with each of you, all sharing our skills and desires to make the world a better place. We could be a force to be reckoned with! ( A force for good and not evil )!!!
I started out in life as a complete optimist with a measure of ideallism. I had three children and became more of a realist with flashes of optimism and idealism. After I raised my children I went back to more realism/idealism with just a splash of optimism. (Trials with the child rearing just couldn’t bring me back to full optimist.)
Now I’ve been unemployed for a year and this is the first time in life I’ve had a chance to study. (Not what anyone else wanted me to study) And I do find sadness in history, organized religion and government. I find that I have a pessimistic side after all.
But David, just as we are a dangerous creation…there is something in us that could make us be a beautiful creation. The tsunamis to come will wipe out some of us but for those who remain, this may be the tsunami catalyst that will bring out the glorious side of human beings. That is my optimistic hope.

Glad to know you’re well David.
It seems (latest) that the matter of ‘climate change’ is attempted, by rightwingers (liberal/conservative)parties to turned into matter of “belief” or believe NOT, . (juxterposed believe in a GoD).
The right wing has never really accepted the notion that humans are to blame for climate change.
They are very foot-dragging on the jump onto the ‘wagen’ and mere because they need the votes. (to maintain majority in the parliament)
As late as a half year ago the GWBush cloning & warcriminal, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, The (then) Danish Premier(stats)minister converted his parti into be a PRO-climate change believer. – now to pretent to agree merely because they need the electoral votes. -, and that’s why whenever they find a voice/scientist) who support their disbelief, he/she gets all possible exposure in the, disbelieving corporate media.
You say so right Jeannie:
“I am sure that businesses that contribute the most to that change and people who don’t want to change their lifestyle will jump on this info and do everything they can to stop the reforms that are so badly needed if our grandchildren are to have any chance of a decent life.”
OR are we too inhumane ?
to the ‘Joachim von ducks’ now, when they have to end their luxurious life style (the few who may have /can not escape conscience)
Serious now:
Not if, but when the world get a (United) World Goverment , [UWG] we so badly need , in order to solve the numerous problems of boundless nature, here on earth, then I’ll want to make a suggestion, when or if a country wants to go to war,
Motion: (1)
Fuel (fossil) should be prohibited to employ in ALL wars of aggression
OR PARAPHRASED:
Soldiers need to do the work in the good old fashioned way of human-power driven machinery. e.g a. tanks or jet-fighters accordingly should be equiped with a good old fashion ‘do it yourself’ pedals, likewise warships is equipped with sail / oars etc.
In this manner ‘the war’ may possible take a bit longer, but what – how harm does it ? – anyway – Under all circumstances the efforts is useless.
Reply
JohnLJ I have a suggestion too. Whether we have world government or not…let it be a law that whenever a government declares war on another…let every politician who votes for war, and let every company that builds the weapons agree to live on the soldiers equal pay of about $2000 per month. Take away their profit and they won’t even try to build oar boats or foot peddle tanks or planes. The war would never get started if they had to live on a soldier’s pay.

Thank’s so much Kathy
I’m sure you’re wonderful person.
I agree completely with your suggestion, on how we ought to remove every single incentive for anyone to go to war,
also
I love your thoughts about sharing life in a hippie commune being a force to be reckoned with! / A force for good
I don’t know if I can/am able to participate in such a way of living, (have been on my own over twenty years now!!, but do not decline any suggestion / ready for a try if I can afford – and unfortunately that’s another of a ‘trivial matter’ (if not the biggest) of all questions.
cheers

Yes, there are scientists that disagree with the idea of climate change, but when you look they tend to have connections, usually based on money, to the oil and coal industry.
The reforms that are needed would not have to cost ordinary people more money. We could, if we really wanted to, spend our public money on renewable energy, mass transit or a transitioning to organic, local farming instead of endless wars.
It is our hard earned dollars that are being wasted. We the people, who, understand the urgency of the situation, need to demand that those dollars be used in ways that help rather than hurt people and the planet.
The tidal wave is coming and we must do everything we can to stop it if there is to be any sort of decent, livable future for life on this planet.

I also believe in a hippie based life-have been one ever since I discovered all the lies that most people live with…we must try different ways of barter living and cooperative and loving families…we whites in particular have lost so much soul awareness that our Indigenous Brothers and Sisters must help us to stay human…our collective guilt and fear makes it easy to confuse foreground and background differences…by the by read Michael Crichton’s last book before his unfortunate early demise…the for profit greed factor enters into everything it touches…doesn’t have to planned as much as people reading the signs and investing in stocks and investments that fuel disasters ..create a tsunami and sell the pots and pans from the village that will be affected in the California yuppie markets….however the idea of living in close community (God how I hate that overused word)with like-minded people occupies a lot of my thoughts…I love this post because it is a way for me to see how other good people are thinking..an abstracted way of relating and I wopuld much prefer in person…sigh…smile…Kate

Kathy, I agree that we could be a beautiful creation. The potential is there but there is also the potential to be…well, less than beautiful. That is our reality I guess, like it or not.
John, I’m well but, in early January, the eight weeks of radiology starts. I have to go down to Sydney for that and will try to travel back for weekends. My blog will be a bit erratic during that period. To return to earlier periods would certainly lessen the civilian deaths as well as the military deaths. War now is too easy for those with superior armies.
Kathy, stop their pay altogether would be even more effective. In Britain and Australia, the majority of people do not want to be involved in America’s warmongering in Iraq and Afghanistan. As in America, our governments do as they like!
Jeannie, the corporate lobby groups are engaged big-time in trying to stop any move to lessen the use of fossil fuels. They have small minds and big pockets!
Kate, the ideas and idealism of the ‘Flower Children’ were marvelous. Sure it was a little bit over the top but it sure beats what the American War Machine is doing!
Reply
Jeannie I agree that there would be enough money to do what needs to be done if the wars on everything would end and if greed would end. But how can we accomplish this if our government leaders won’t listen to us but only listen to lobbyists? I think we could get their attention if we all stopped paying the income tax. But I don’t think all Americans will do that because they are afraid of the IRS taking everything they own and throwing them into prison. Our collective ‘balls’ have been replaced with fear.
Meanwhile, as we normal people want to save our planet, the climate change big guys have been working behind the scenes to try to get the banker/ wall street piece in place. When they get that part worked out I suspect cap and trade here in America will pass the senate.
Here’s a link to what they have in mind for saving the planet. Just get those women in Uganda to cut back on their carbon footprint so they can claim carbon neutrality!!

With regards to the global warming issue.
Google ‘Professor Bob Carter’ and WATCH the video 7 torpedoes.
This man cannot be bought, he is a respected scientist, he tells it like it is, and the empirical data is in plain sight and will not disappear. Global warming is crap, global COOLING is real.
The world is a finite vessel and it’s reaching capacity, for the rest of US to survive, 1/2 the world must disappear because we are populating ourselves to extinction. We must be made to
stop populating else everyone will die when the next little ice age arrives SOON !!. Crops will fail, and people will die of starvation. The alternative agenda is to selectively chose [ by a world government ] who will live and who will die. A fool can work it out – it’s a no brainer

I have a (grim) feeling, or, I’am afraid, that the future world increasingly will become interred in DATA (true? or false?) of huge quaintities that no one, or very few are able to cope / manage comprehend – unless – you spend 30 hours a day!!! studying to get up with it.
The ‘climate change’ issue is a good example of that as if you want to rise to the occasion (obtain a qualified opinion) you have to study fultime (day&night).
What time/space will there be left for a living for the future ‘animal’ (homo distressed) ??? – or maybe it’s just time for a INTER ‘change’ the brain with a computer.
Reply
John, what you said is so true. There is so much data to study to try to piece the truth of anything together that it would take more than a whole day to make the pieces fit. (Every day) and then there’s no time to enjoy life. I have been feeling a little like a ‘homo-distressed’ lately myself! ….and there are no hippies/flower children here to share my distress with.
But David you did make me laugh when you mentioned ‘pigs around a trough.’ I grew up on the farm and we raised pigs from time to time. They were nasty and stinky but they had a right to be all the pig that they could be! These money master pig demons have no rights except for the ones they imagine they have. The ones we keep giving them by allowing them to get away with murder, rape and robbery. We have allowed it by our silence. And David, I think we have already succumbed to much of 1984. Americans still believe that to have a protest we have to apply for a permit. (It’s illegal if you don’t.) I have to laugh when I think of Thomas Jefferson or George Washington sending a letter to the king asking for permission to protest him!!! The revolution would have never happened if the founders had to wait for permission from the king. We are a brainwashed and subdued nation, nothing like the founding fathers.
Late Revolution you’re right. The powers will have to be completely overthrown. I was hoping we could do that by civil means. I don’t think we can now. I also agree that the next revolution will be global.

Kate, maybe we will get to live in a like minded community some day. Would be nice to learn a complete barter system without money and live in harmony with nature. [[When ever you read something weird!! Have me forgiven, I'm also confused.]]
It is a great advantage (if not a requisite) for people to be able to live together, to have the/ come from same background.
We have a proverb in Danish saying:.” LIGE b¢rn leger bedste.” = translated to something like “equal/peer children play better together (than unequals)
These words encircles very much the essence of the inward urge and wishs of being part of a hippie/commie community expressed by a few here in this post.
And I love the idea. I am first and foremost a NATURE ‘being’ – for the nature – by the nature ( the way of life living in totally harmony with nature (refering to the indian American, say 500 years ago / I’m sorry – didn’t get the change / option )
But, unfortunately, on the point of NO return. To return to this old life style ‘today’ would be like for the Neanderthales (10000y’s ago) to enter / crawl back up into the trees, again.
It won”t happen – we all ,more or less, have to follow the crowd, like it or not.
These words, not to disencourage those who have this deep inside feeling and wish of being part of a (*) jointed ‘together-ness’. *(COMMUNITY” God how I hate that overused word).
I believe (although it’s DANGEROUS to believe , just look at MLK) there is HOPE and I think we are far more people in the world than we imagine of likeminded having this hope.
It’s just that this ‘commie’ word has been branded so totally into peoples mind to be something unworthy / unhuman way of life style by the western media / (MSM).
Also, it’s because of that, that I have to ‘go’ to the other side of the world to find likeminded people who cares, and who are able to see through the spin – and I thank you – all.
In admiration

David, glad you’re back and I hope you’re feeling okay.
John Neeting, I just watched the professor in his 36 minute video with the 7 torpedo points. I agree with you that this man seems honest. I also believe that global warming, which has now changed it’s name to climate change is a scam. Therese said it exactly the way I believe it to be. This is about a one world government takeover and a de-population agenda.
I guess I’ll put on my full tin foil hat, conspiracy theory self for this post.
This issue, like every other important issue has a division line. I post an article that shows that the data at IPCC might be fudged. Jeannie posts that while it seems to be the case that the data was fudged there….it doesn’t matter because every other place that keeps up with the climate science says the same thing. ‘We have global warming and it’s caused by man’.
Ah! But we all know the story that there are 31,000 scientists that disagree with the IPCC and there is not a consensus on the science at all. Ah!!! But those “other” scientists who aren’t part of the IPCC are bought off by big oil and big coal interests. I believe that Al Gore referred to those scientists as ‘flat earthers’.
Big oil and big coal want these new global carbon taxes to pass just as much as the environmentalist do. I know there are honest people that want to save the planet so I’m not clumping all environmentalists together. But some will see these new laws as a way to promote new ‘green’ products. They will sell these new products and make a profit from them. I hope they come up with some good ones for all of us to improve the planet with!
But if you’ll go back and look at one of my previous posts with the Bloomberg link about the Uganda women, you can see by reading the financial piece of that article what they have planned. They are putting into place the financial aspect of the new carbon tax laws even before they have passed! It won’t matter to them if they don’t sell as much oil or coal. They will sell it at a higher price and they are creating all sorts of financial derivatives and carbon credit swaps. They will make their huge money off of these financial instruments instead of the actual fossil fuels themselves.
I don’t doubt for one minute that some of these oil and coal companies (or bankers) have hired their own scientists to spew their own propaganda (but not all 31,000). It’s what they do to us each and every time. They give us something to debate, something to divide the sheeple while the bankers take over another aspect of all governments and move closer to taking over all aspects of our lives.
Mayer Amschel Rothschild 1744-1812 known as the godfather of the banking cartel of Europe said this: “Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes the laws.” Our federal reserve bank is part of this international banking cartel today. They love war amongst nations. They finance both sides and they don’t care who wins because they make loans to both sides and they charge interest to both sides. It’s all good for them. As a pyramid scheme, the banking cartel is that all seeing eye on top of the pyramid. They rule everything. The large corporations are next. The governments of the world are just under that. Religion would be imbedded in there somewhere along with the military enforcement gang. We the regular sheeple are on the bottom of this pyramid.
I really believe that the whole issue of global warming/climate change should be treated as a war. I’ve read a lot about it in this light but the thing that got me started on it was a google video I watched some time ago called “The report from Iron Mountain”. It seems that they put together a think tank back in the early 1960′s to come up with plans to further the consolidation of power on the planet. It was thought at that time that the only way government was able to subdue the masses of society was to keep them either in a war or under the fear of war at all times. I don’t know about you other countries but here in America my whole life has either been lived under a time of war or the fear of it.
So this think tank had to come up with some problem solving for the new world order government plans. Because if you’re finally able to put together a one world government, the nations can no longer fight amongst themselves. (That part sounds glorious doesn’t it?) Ah! But how can you keep the sheeple in line if you can’t keep them focused on the fear of war? They determined in their report that you couldn’t. There would always have to be the fear of some war. So what could they give us sheeple that we could be at war against? Their first choice was climate change. They could unite the nations to fight together this common enemy to mankind. This was all put together in the 1960′s. Their second choice was that they could unite mankind by claiming we were likely going to be attacked by aliens from outer space. I know that sounds tin foil hat but I’m expecting any old day now an announcement that we have discovered aliens. I don’t have a problem believing that we are not the only life in the universe. But if they don’t get their one world government by climate change wars then they will probably announce enemy aliens next. I wish I could find my notes from my previous studies but one of these globalists said “We will have one world government either by consent or by force.” They want it to be by consent. They know they can get civilization to enslave itself by consent if they can put out the right propaganda.
So back to pollution. I’ll say it again. I know our planet is polluted and that we all need to work together and change it. I’ve taken steps in my own life as I guess you all have, to leave less of a carbon foot print or less of a pollution foot print. But when was the last time you were responsible for a huge oil spill? Yeah, me neither. When is the last time you ordered your own personal army to go invade another country? Yeah, me neither. I have an army??? Wonder if I could get them to help with my organic gardening dreams???
Truth is, I could shut off all the electric, gas and water coming into my home. I could abandon my car. And I could backpack into the wilderness with a booklet to help me identify edible roots and plants. I could try to live that way and they would likely find my frozen dead body by spring time. That would de-populate the world by one and that supposedly ends pollution by one. Do you see how very little I am all by myself? The world would never miss me and my pollution foot print.
We the people are going to have to do something bigger than we thought in order to help our planet. I mean, we could all go backpack into the wilderness and be frozen by spring and that wouldn’t stop them. It would only help their plans for de-population and they would then use the resources amongst themselves that they continue to fight over.
If about 5% of Americans went to the banks tomorrow morning to shut down their accounts and withdraw their money it would probably not only shut down the banking system in America, but the rest of the world as well. (That’s how fragile their banking scheme is.) If the bottom rung of the pyramid scheme can ever get over their various divisions and fears and work together, we can topple the pyramid. THEN we could help the planet!

Kathy’s reply is right and I so appreciate her taking the time to so fully explain OUR position. No I do not live on a hill, but am a highly educated proud hillbilly.
Re tsunamies, for all we know HAARP caused the last, totally unexpected one. Watch Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, on TruTv channel, website http://www.trutv.com.

Thanks Therese! Even though I don’t have my tv connected any more I heard Jesse’s show started on Dec 2nd and had 1.6 million viewers. Maybe he will be able to wake more people up.
HAARP program is perfectly evil in my opinion and can be used in such ways as to scare populations into believing some bad weather event or natural disaster has happend due to our pollution. Any time they spend millions of dollars to develop a technology we can bet they aren’t just going to let it sit there. They are going to test it in ways that we the sheeple will never be told about. Will they ever admit to us that they were toying around with the weather and caused a killer hurricane somewhere? HECK NO!!
Here’s another one that they kept hidden for years but are now being more open with. Cloud seeding with Chemtrails. They used this for the olympics in China and now it looks like the Russian PTB are going to use it to keep the snowfall way down. David look at the sky and see if they are spraying your area with chemtrails that may be causing your drought!

Kathy, I certainly agree that we, the sheeple, are at the bottom of the pyramid.
Although you said you were putting on your tin foil and conspiracy hats, I am at a loss to know how many of your allegations or suspicions are true. That’s because much of what is going on in the world happens behind closed doors. The plotters never reveal their true plans but set about achieving their aims using any means.
The plotters are made up of corporations, politicians, the ultra-wealthy, the religious, imperialists, militarists, megalomaniacs, etc, all of them pushing their own selfish barrows while entering into alliances when it suits their purposes. It’s a tangled web.
Coming as I do from the land, I have noticed changes in the climate over my lifetime. It does appear to be getting hotter and drier at least where I live. Of course, my experiences don’t prove or disprove the existence of climate change but when coupled with the ice melting and the occurrence of severe weather event even in Australia, it does look as though something bad is happening. And, of course, the corporations will try to deny it so their profits will continue and/or try to capitalize on the change in order to make more money.
Kathy, please don’t go off into the wilderness. Stay here. Help us to change the world, make it a better place!

I don’t know about you Kathy but I, my self ‘ve had my own very physically experiences from a hurricane and this is for me what’s count a hundred times more than what a scientists is telling.
(a scientist also, is just a humanbeing and do not necessarily live where things are taking place.)
Back in dec. 3 1999 in Denmark we had a storm/orkan ( app.200kmh) which is very unususal here on the degree 55 northern latiude) where I had my the roof of my house teared off among many thousands of other incidents in Denmark, back then.
This, just to say that I do NOT need any scientists / weather forecasters to tell me what has (and will) happen – I look for my self and I think we all have an advantaged [TOWER COMMANDING A WIDE VIEW (that's what I found in my dictionary)] in as I assume we all have a TeleVison set from where we are able to survey the hole globe (which you cannot claim is a scam / bogus) from e.g.floodings in Europe, in the latest years in (England, (midt EU) Germany, Switserland, in areas of hilly / valley caracter. – just to mention what is very near to me, (to my physical life).
To say it in other word:
I can simply not understand why people have to recite form other be it ‘wise people’, scientists or what ever who pretend to know’ instead of asking the wise’est people, those who’ve been ‘deeply’ involved in / has experienced the inundation and hurricans, excessive sunheating and droughts etc. to have an honest answer to this, some say is a ‘scam’.
I wish a convenient journey David.

David, I won’t go into the wilderness. I was just using it as an example of how meaningless it would be for one person on the bottom of the pyramid to do all they could do for mother earth alone. As we go about as individuals in greater and greater numbers learning to conserve more and more I have to think that we are making a good impact. But great numbers of us demanding the same things across the world could carry enough strength to bring down the big corporations who are REALLY ruining the planet.
The conspiracy theory I was referring to is the fact that I believe a small group of international bankers are the shadow government that really pulls the strings around the world. I believe it is their goal to have a one world government that eliminates each nation’s sovereignty. To bring this up in polite conversation around these parts is to cause people to look at you like you’re a conspiracy nut.
John, I think it is very wise to look at your own weather and observe. Is the hurricane of 1999 the only one to ever hit in the whole history of Denmark? Or does Denmark get a hurricane every 100 years or so? Sounds like they are rare indeed where you live. I’m too far inland to get a hurricane but our gulf states and the eastern seaboard states are often suffering the devastation of one storm or another.
I may be at a disadvantage at noticing local weather changes because they have always had a saying here in Tennessee that goes like this: “If you don’t like the weather in Tennessee, stick around, it will change.” In 1999 a tornado hit our down town area and destroyed everything. It took several years to rebuild. But,,, it wasn’t abnormal because we get tornados in Tennessee on a regular basis. This particular one was devastating because of the path it took that caused so much property destruction.
They say the average year round temperature here is 59 degrees farenheit. But sometimes our winter weather gives us days with the temperature below zero and some of our summer days give us temps above 100 degrees. This summer was quite a bit cooler. Three summers ago it was one of the hottest on record. There are times of drought where the farmers are all praying for rain, and times of so much rain fall as to cause certain areas to flood. But all of these extremes are normal to the history of Tennessee’s weather.
It sounds like you guys live in countries where the weather has been constant and predictable throughout the centuries. I would be very troubled too over brand new weather patterns that have never happened before.
Oh and John, I had my television disconnected in early November. The stories presented here are very one sided. For instance, they don’t show the American public the real devastation of the wars we’ve caused. Not that I want to see photos of dead or mutilated bodies, but shouldn’t Americans be made to see the real truth of what their tax dollars are paying for? I think so. But to find more truth in news, I have to search the internet for alternative news stories. Sad but true.
My sincere hope and prayers for you are: May your droughts go away never to return and may hurricanes never find their way upon your shores again!

Again, well written, Kathy. Paul Chapman, the international forecaster, is a weekly guest on the Alex Jones Show, and he and Alex Friday explained their research on the eugenicists plans. (You can listen to the podcast, by linking through InfoWars, here at the side. Tis said that a Italian newspaper decades ago, warned parents to hide their children, because Henry Kissinger was in town. F[[[[[ing pedaphiles will use global government to round up the children.

I go to infowars too. Alex rants on and on sometimes too much for me to listen to but he has some good guests sometimes. Bob Chapman is one and I like Gerald Celente too. The articles are interesting and even though the comments section has some real retards, some of the comments people leave links to other great information.
They do have their eugenics plans for us along with their world government. Hopefully enough people can wake up and stop them before it happens.

John, the point you make is a valid one. Each human, if they open their eyes, can work some things out for themselves. We have become too reliant on ‘experts’ who tell us what to think.
Kathy, I know you wouldn’t disappear because, like me, you’re too sensible. But we both share the feeling of ‘wanting to’ sometimes.
Regarding the corporations, it was a sad day when they came into being. With a human being, they can be sued if they are guilty of malpractice. But with a legal entity like a corporation, the job is much harder.
Cheers.

Therese our government has dealt us many dirty tricks along the way. Allowing corporations to have ‘person status’ was one of them! I’ve been studying something lately that says the United States government changed themselves into a corporation with the organic act of 1871.
We believe that we are still acting as a nation of freemen (under our original constitution) but according to this body of information, we are operating under the rules of a corporation now known as The United States of America Inc. When we are born we are registered immediately as collateral by way of our birth certificates and then again by applying for social security numbers. Here’s one link for some history. Still hard for me to get my brain around it….

I admire the strenght and the inner urge you and many other on this site as US citizens, obviously, may have for to seek behind the headlines in order to test the MSM version of the truth. Thanks god for that, with wishes that you hadn’t been so relatively alone in your research.
I don’t know much about the talk of (a) conspiracy. Such talks ,which I think, belongs more to party-politic as just another aspect of what’s called POLITICS which is (the fabric of lies / the good old struggle how to distribute the ‘goodies’ between the RICH and the POOR. And as I’m not born on a oil-well I know excatly to where I belong in that respect.
World goverment:
I’m sorry you don’t see such a management as an opportunity. The advantage of a united world goverment would be there’s no ‘enemy’ to fight. I would way more have preferred this kind of goverment instead of that of Europe has got now, EU, a block of (27) countries more or less belligerent against … you name it and. who’s next ? of an enemy ?
Europe does not have a peacefully history. I do not have many optimitics thoughts about this constallation of a JUGGERNAUT=an irresistable powers which destroy everything on it’s way ( especially for my grandchildren) in the future. They, the grandchild, will probably experience the same confusion as you feel now, if or when this monster (of 500.000.000) go into another illegal war because there’s no one to stop them… etc. etc..
I’m so happy and honored that you bother to pray for me, Kathy, and I wish the same for you.
To your question, “hurricanes in Denmark”. I have never before experienced a like in my lifetime since 1948. I think it has something to do with the temperature which has never before been so high over extended periods on this latitudes.

Apparently allowed by a stretchy law which would have surely denied such extension in case I was the one who needed it. Still going hard.. It will take years.. and I m lucky anyway. they bribe. they lie. they cheat. they stink. It s miracle I won so far anyway..

I want to move to the forest too.
Tell me about it.
I too believe anything is not true. Climate change? Not if it comes from Gore. dear Al.
Problem Solution. Money making ISSUES. INVENTED ISSUES>
POLLUTION is a real much bigger ISSUE. Climate change? Climate will always change> Earth is not a static thinggy. It evolves and goes through changes.
Polluting it is a crime. Ah, but we only bother if it does affect US.
We killed millions of animals, fish, birds, insects, humans, plants. Merely for SELFISH purposes. Or for even for the FUN of it.
But God forbid we get killed by climate change, now it suddenly matters.
F.it.
I will be happy and singing the day it all goes down the drain.
Of course, I will only regret that good people go down too.. but we are perishable beings. We will eventually go down anyway, and there is nothing wrong or scary about it.
I strongly believe death was also portraied as the unwanted terrorist.
Maybe my mood is really bad, but I feel death is a wonderful release from a crazy pawn game, with no purpose and no meaning. This f.ing world.

Adina, your legal saga is revealing. Most corporations have unlimited funds and can hire the most conscienceless lawyers to protect their interests. The average person would go bankrupt trying to find justice.
Regarding death, I too see it as being a time of real peace. I have even considered having a small brass plaque put above my mortal remains with the inscription: THANK HEAVENS IT’S OVER. PEACE AT LAST.
Take care.

I am so sorry to hear about your state of ‘bad mood’ Adina, as I’ve come to know you as a very decent and lovely person I can not other than worry for you, because although we all, I think, now and then experience times of troubles where the easiest way out seemingly is a (de) ‘cease’,, it isn’t and shouldn’t be the normal to prefer death for life. – in such a case something is wrong and the best thing to do, I believe, is to cry it out instead of trying to quell the pains , grief or whatever is squeezing on your mind.
so please Adina – cry it out..

hopefully and eventually you’ll will utter a “ha ha ha” or maybe a ” ha ha ,,,,, ha ha..”
I really like the inscription: THANK HEAVENS IT’S OVER. PEACE AT LAST.” as a small brass plaque put above also mine mortal remains after my life, which is a mix of good and evil where a healthy mind in a healthy body and freedom/liberty , for me, is the foremost conditions for a good life.
We all only have to take a thought of all the subjugated people incarcerated by cruel goverments to acknowledge “have lucky we are ” e.g the 1.500.000 in Gaza and by a cruel zionistic goverment in denying all Palestinians any kind of freedom and even the most basically necessities in order to live a normal a life, to stop complaining.

Dearest John,
aside from self pity.. let me explain a bit, and then tell me what you think.
I do not want to be part of the RAT GAME. I do not want to eat and shit and work and pay taxes for corrupted government dangling around in expensive cars and living in expensive houses, which lead my country, claiming the taxes are for the “people” and for the “country”. Then.. I thought about moving to country side and live off a small piece of land. Which is possible, my grandma did it for more than 80 years. But guess what, The shity country took care that the poverty increased, that the education ceased to exist, consequence.. my grandma planted a hot chili, and even that was missing stolen with roots and all the minute the fruits were ripen enough to be eaten. ha ha. And that is a small example only, as theft is flourishing, and people , even the decent one, become closer to animals, in the behaviour and expectations. Rape is flourishing, as were it was safe for a woman to live alone, now even old women are raped!!!!!!!! it is not exceptions I m talking about. Things like these and more unheard things than ever are happening EVERY SINGLE DAY. One smart brain might argue.. oh but statistically that is low. CUT THE CRAP i would tell him, tell me what statistic means if YOUR WIFE or DAUGHTER fells in that SMALL Percent. My country.. we did not have gay. Nothing against them, they re free for me to do what they want in their private homes. But now they are kissin on national tv and boasting a FASHION : BEING GAY which manby labile teenagers.. take as very cooll… what the F?
And how come now, after the quick liberalisation of porn on the TV channels we have tons of gays emerging,. and even last week I ve seen as main news channels that One MOTHER assisted and then JOINED the step father in RAPING HER DAUGHTER 13 years old for THREE YEARS????????? nobody knew.. until too late. Suddenly she discovered she is a lesbian after marying twice and having kids? Yea. Free world. And this is Europe I m talking about. and what the f..k they put these “news” on the news? To Give more ideas to more HUMAN ANIMALS?
Gaza… well. I ve learned not to pity the poor and the oppressed too much. They have no food, but they reproduce like rabbits.. Give them freedom,.. and then you ll see. THEY ARE THE SAME. PEOPLE ARE THE SAME EVERYWHERE. ESPECIALLY WHEN FREEDOM COMES AFTER OPRESSION I VE SEEN IT!!!!! It might sound harsh, and believe me , my heart is split in too. As I t\wo feel a lot of compassion and hate the injustice.. but then I step out of my sensible mind, and analyze coldly things: I am fortunate. But if I were them, instead of carrying my 7 children killed by the bombs in front of TV cameras screaming how unlucky I am.. i would rather think twice before f…ing my wife and tell her, honey, this is not a place to have 7 kids. Let us focus on something right. Let us free our country first, and then reproduce like rabbits. As these babies will not get educated, will not be able to do something for these country, and we ll also have to feed them but not have means and nothing to educate them.
Even of my own misery, I have learned to understand that is CO CREATED.
Hence I pity myself NOT. I pity most of humanity NOT.
I love people who THINK AND CARE.
And BOTH THINK AND CARE are important.
Most of people only do ONE or THE OTHER.
And this is why we have OPRESSORS, and VICTIMS.
David, and his site is one such individual, who encompasses the needed attributes of an ADVANCED INDIVIDUAL who THINKS AND CARES. People who read his site like you Dear John and all others are too. I am convinced there are MANY MANY around the world who are the same.
But I am too convinced that they are MINORITY, And that the biggest pawn game I was talking about is led and won by the masses, and by the opressors, with US, DECENT PEOPLE in BETWEEN not fitting on the table. Hence I too submit to the idea of David’s plaque.
It would nicely fit my grave too, although I plan to submerge myself in the ocean and be eaten by the fish. HEHEH I ll carry my plaque as a necklace

You’re so right about statistic, and I agree completely,, statistic is to no help if a relative, WIFE or DAUGHTER fells in a SMALL Percentage, and also I , in a high degree, regards Gay kissing on TeleVison to be bad behavior, as to be ‘too much’ in their try to have a completely UNnatural behavior looks normal / (men loves/marry women) look ABnormal). and Hence the lack of self-control in propagation of the world although, I think, this subject is a matter of a natural human/animal inherent urge from which it has to be FORCED to LIMIT’ to conduct as e.g. in China, (one child pr parent) in order to limit it’s outcome/behavior .
When you talk about crime, rape, steal or whatever they do it’s amazing, for the big part of this and the hole part of the judical system with prisons has increased to sinister/ ominous degree since (only) the time of ‘industrialization. but (funny enough) seen in the light of this it’s only a natural developement that the old ‘fashion’ of a (peaceful) judical system is ‘turned over’ to the ARMY. This developement will logically end up with that EVERONE who’s NOT an outcast or a villain do have to be enrolled in the army. (as a legal member of society)
I can assure you your’re not alone in/with ‘dark thoughts’. I do 100% understands and recognize the ‘two sides of you / us’, in the end seen from a cynical side of (and realistice) view it’s only a question of who’s first to ‘kick the bucket.
Fifteen years ago I had a teen year older sister submerging herself (with a stone on her nech) in a pond )
As I lived far away from her / each other unfortunately I had no idea of what she was up to in her dark thoughts of selfdestruction beforehand.. Appearently she had a good life with a husband an their three children. It had neither to do with bad economy / money which I could partly suspect such to be one of a reasons for your drab decision ( god forbid ) ‘plan’ ? concerning, as far as the little that I know about the American healthcare/retirement system etc.?
“moving to a country side”
I would surely do that if I lived in America, and you’re accustomed to country life, good idea but sometimes very lonely. and /but I don’t believe you need any kind of ‘education ‘
“I plan to submerge myself in the ocean”
I very much hope it’s the ashes of your body you’re talking about Adina?. The world can not afford to let a lovable THINKing AND CARing wonderful humanbeing as you are ‘decease’ before time. please
Under all circumstance, Adina promise to give notice beforehand doing something ‘stupid’ for ‘the world’ to have an ‘opportunity’ to help.
cheers

John, when you said you were not born on an oil well I said to myself “me neither”. I’ve never been on the RICH side of money but consider the riches in my life of other things…such as having a friend in Denmark that I can talk to on this blog!…and all the other friends here too!!
But when you said that, you were talking about politics/government trying to divide up the goodies between rich and poor. And that my dear friend is why I don’t trust governments at all.
I can’t find one really good government that runs it’s own country without greed and secrecy so that makes me think no one is qualified to run the entire planet under one global government.
It sounds good to think one world getting along with no wars. That sounds like paradise to me. But how can that happen? Maybe I should ask how long would it take to make everyone love each other so that there would be no in-fighting? For example: It’s been almost a decade since this war on terror started. Americans have been brainwashed to the very core that Muslim extremists want to get over here and kill all of us. On their side, they have had Americans over in their countries killing people for almost a decade. So if we all wake up tomorrow morning and find that we are all under one big world government,,,,no more nations,,,no more wars then how long will it take the typical American to just say ‘okay, terrorists don’t want to kill me anymore’…and how long will it take the Iraqi mother whose child was murdered to just say ‘okay, they left my country and we’re all at peace so I just forgive and forget.’ So it seems to me that it would take a long time to get people to feel safe with each other.
The other thing that I don’t like about the idea of world government is that people who care about others and about this planet don’t need much governing. You John, do not need a government to tell you how to be a good human being. Neither do I or anyone else on this blog. I wish for freedom. Big government = mommy and daddy (or big brother) telling us what we can and can’t do. That’s not freedom. But here’s the problem: In our American constitution it was set up as a Constitutional Republic. The founding fathers here thought it was a better form of government than a democracy. In a democracy two wolves and one sheep get to decide what’s for dinner because the majority rules. So in a democracy, if 51% of the people want to kill someone that they deem to be a criminal they can vote on that and the majority wins. But in a Constitutional republic, the majority can’t decide. A person is entitled to go to court and have a jury hear their case. They are allowed to face their accusers and present their evidence. If found guilty by fair trial and evidence, the person can then be sentenced to either the death penalty or time in prison depending on the crime. But if the evidence shows them innocent then the 51% just have to get over it. (Majority doesn’t rule)
The problem with the Republic is that it takes an active and educated citizenry to make sure that government doesn’t overstep it’s bounds. We Americans lost that understanding about the time in which my great grandparents were born. And it’s been down hill incrementally ever since.
We’ve lost the understanding that with great freedom comes great responsibility for one’s own actions. When government grows bigger and bigger, the human beings grow smaller and smaller. When government is big enough to give you everything you want,,,they are also big enough to take away everything you’ve got!!!
Adina, your bad mood matches mine this week. Crime is increasing. The story of your grandma with the chili pepper has not happened here to my knowledge because people are still too lazy to go rob a garden. (That would require acutal work.) The convenience store close to my house got robbed a few weeks ago. The thief ran off with a display of cigarette lighters!!! ???? Another lady that I know told me that her dad’s house got robbed of all his tools. And there was a scam going on in one part of town that looked like a road block for road construction. When the citizen stopped their car at the road block one of the supposed ‘road workers’ approached and robbed the woman!!!!!!!! ..In my own peaceful neighborhood this year, an 18 year old girl shot and killed her father. She was assisted by her 15 and 17 year old friends. I’ve lived here almost 9 years and nothing like this has ever happened. (I really want to get out to the country now)
If I make it to the country though, I will have to put a high fence around my garden. Not because of lazy thieves (yet) but because the deer are so thick they will eat your garden!
You guys have spoken of death being a peaceful release and I too have come to that conclusion. It took me some time to get to this place. But I used to think that love is the opposite of hate. Then I realized that love is the opposite of fear. Every negative emotion has fear at it’s roots. And it is said that a human’s worst core fear is the fear of death. I’m not sure that is the case for me any more. I think I fear life more now! That’s because life is bringing out the negative emotions in me right now. I understand that when I’m living angry, insecure, mistrustful, jealous or any negative…I’m living opposite of love, because all of these negatives come from the root of some sort of fear. John, that you mention the Palestinians is important. I guess we think life is tough but if we had to live under brutal occupation we would realize that our lives are not so bad after all!
Adina, I too feel very uncomfortable to see gays flaunting themselves on television. The sight of two men kissing really turns me off, makes me shudder. I don’t care what gays do in their homes but let’s leave it at that. Besides, what example are we setting for our impressionable young. Soon they won’t know what is normal (to most) and what isn’t!
Kathy, as we age, we start to see life more clearly. We begin to understand what it is and WHAT IT ISN’T!
When I was in my teens and early twenties, I was an incurable optimist. Gradually, as life belted me around, I saw another side to life. For a time I rejected the ‘darker’ side of humanity, tried to pretend it was just an aberration, one that afflicted a few. The more I thought and looked, the more I realized the extent of evil and greed that exists in the world.
I think it’s interesting that the people who invented religion dreamed up a place called ‘heaven’ which, if you examine it, was a place that was the exact opposite to life on earth: no death, no pain or sickness, no rape, no war, no infidelity, no aging, a place where love prevailed forever. That clearly suggests to me that life on earth is not all it’s cracked up to be! But we can, by isolating ourselves from the world, find moments of peace and happiness!
Peace and love to all!

Growing up in Hollywood was a no ask no tell. I am positive there were gays everywhere, but I never saw much action. People are allowed their private lives, in my world. Even though I walked in on two male friends once and it grossed me out. I don’t want to see much sex on tv by anyone, mainly because some people leave their tv’s on constantly and there are kids around. There is general amiss in the area of protecting childrren anymore. I couldn’t believe they played the Story of Kris Kringle – starting at 8:00 in the evening (our son’s bedtime) – on a school nite, no less! – and the commercials were terrible Cynical selling of XMas to the kiddies. The station seemed to be run by morally inept, borderline anti-social criminals. AND this was one of the more “innocent” kids’ shows that are on!!! Most are so violent, they aren’t even a choice for us.
Adina, so great to see you again! My god, things have degraded. David, what a suprise, something told me to click on your site and found conversations from around the world – that fit so much of what I have experienced recently! I am glad your health is holding and giving you a window of engagement.
My neighbor stole my whole chili bush, roots and all, but probably just to harrass me, not because of hunger. Hasn’t worked in 35 years, but would come out in his “uniform” whenever he would hear me outside. His uniform consisted of flesh colored elastic waist shorts, no shirt, no shoes. Squeaky clippers that resemble the sound of a squeaky bed. I called the Sherrif, but he went inside and they never saw him. He is like the neighborhood Yeti.
There is so much more I could tell you. I don’t want to get into my whole story, but I am sure parts of it will come out. I am just having my first cup of morning coffee and cant bear to talk about it, but there was something incredibly zeitgeist about it all. You all have touched on the roots of it and have drawn me out.
To quote Kathy, “I used to think that love is the opposite of hate. Then I realized that love is the opposite of fear. Every negative emotion has fear at it’s roots. And it is said that a human’s worst core fear is the fear of death.”
Peace and love, peeps.

Dearest John,
I realize I am so so so so so selfish to have talked about such sad things, and bring back your sad memory of your beloved sister. I am ashamed of my words, and truly, I regret having said them.
Please forgive me.
If it is any consolation to you, please know that i do not think that people outside ourselves can do anything when the limit is reached, so there is nothing you should under any circumstance feel guilty about. Picture your sister happy and know that it has nothing to do with what you could should or would have done. She did what was right for her. It is my conviction that the most pain remain to the ones left behind, like yourself and all people who had a suicide in the family.
Dear John, I have to be honest to you. It is true that sometime ago, I promised myself that if one day I would have to fall below the level of what I consider my dignity, I will leave this world as I command. Not as the society, or “god” expects or commands.
But in the post above, I was indeed talking about my ashes.
I feel so stupid letting all out like that, and saddening you.
Please forgive me.
I bless your sister soul, and I also bless You, wonderful person.
I promise that meeting such wonderful people as you and our friends here is an incentive to life.
I have a lot to learn.
Thank You and Forgive me again.

The chili bush pulled, roots and all, seemed so random at the time!
Doesn’t seem so, now.
I don’t even live in that house anymore.
Sorry, it is Monday morning and I have to run.
Have a nice day. Bye for now. : )

You are brilliant!
Stories: I always say, ‘Someday, when we are sitting around the fire, I will tell you what really happened…’
If we were the wealthy 1 – 10%’ers, we could organize a DC summer camp and spend a couple of weeks canoeing, weaving baskets, and telling stories.
I believe life was meant to be fun. We were given the most beautiful and rare Earth. One that provides us with the perfect food, water!, sunshine and materials to build a home to stay warm and dry at night. BUT then.. some arsehole had to go and ruin it for everybody. Some blame Eve, but I don’t think it was the ‘knowledge hungry’ that ruined things, but the Power Hungry; that voracious appetite that is consuming our planet.

Great flow of comments and the exchange of ideas is terrific!
Grace, let me echo Adina’s sentiments and welcome you back. As I mentioned to others some time back, I had a setback to my treatment after getting an acute infection.
Also I found that removing myself from the blog was counterproductive. It gave me too much time to think about what might await me down the road. So I started posting again and I feel much better for it!
The eight weeks of radiology begins on the 4th of January and, to get it, I have to go down to Sydney each working week and stay in a lodge which is close to the hospital.
Of course this will interrupt the blog but it can’t be helped, I’m afraid.

David, I don’t know how the majic of the universe works, all I know is energy exists. The old Vedic saying (paraphrased), that Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed, has always rung a bell with me. Stay strong. For you, and of course for my selfish reasons. Thanks.

I don’t think you have to regret anything Adina, because you have done nothing wrong – don’t think so.
What are friends for, even for us here, a bit unreal cyberspace friends, ? if not to be attentive to each other, and if there is no complaining then one can, and likely will, be ignored. but when that’s said, you’re right, the outside world can do nothing beyond this limit, and this limit only can be determine by oneself, as what one consider below dignity.
I just want you to realize that you’re a wonderful person, an incentive to my life – should you be in doubt – what I can understand from reading Kathy’s posts also, as an American citizen in the latest GWBush year of goverment hasn’t allways been the funnist ride when the outside world berates, ALL AMERICANS , which especially on the raw touches decent thoughtful people like you, Kathy and many other on this sites.
I thank you too Adina.
have to make the comment short – don’t know what wrong – lately I couldn’t paste my text into the commentboard – don’t know why ??… we’ll have to see what’s happen – now.

ok that worked fine – try again – and we’ll se…
dear Kathy
I do easily understand when decent people like you, Kathy, as a US citizen has got so much mistrust to politicians and hence the goverment in America with it’s weird system of lawmaking influenced by what’s know as as “lobby” which is [exerpt from INFOpedia which tells " to conduct activities aimed at influencing public officials and esp. members of a legislative body on legislation "
A body for which the American people haven't voted for.
A system which more or less has left over to lobbyists / 'big money' to make the laws to suit the well off's only leaving the common people to it's own devices.
APROPOS LOBBYING: In the EU
I'm afraid the same (undemocratic element to influence the legislation.) has found it's way into the EU parliament which is yet less democratic than the US Senate/house system. (without exactly being able to explain how it works in detail)
I like the text : "how long would it take to make everyone love each other so that there would be no in-fighting?
I believe the object of this text could come true if countries would stop stealing (e.g. land) from each other.
Just to mention one ex. for sixty years ongoing example of this [to steal a land, from] which has resulted in a forever insoluble problem in the middle-east by ‘the international community’s handing over of Palestine to a bunch of global refugees who insist on descending from a people who were born on this land milleniums ago.One should definitely be a believer to believe in such a lie.
I think it’s a good point you make that you and I (we 99% ) doesn’t need goverment to tell us how to behave – that’s true – but the laws / the legal system has to be made up for remnant ( 1% ) who cannot behave in a decent and orderly way.
I’m little confuse an surprised when you tell that your country, set up as a Constitutional Republic cannot be considered a democracy.? it doesn’t sounds fair to you, to the people. I really thought that America was the beacon for/of democracy.
“it takes an active and educated citizenry to make sure that government doesn’t overstep it’s bounds”.
Back to the lobbying system which ends up with a corrupt goverment bought by big money. Those who can afford to hire professionals to do the ‘dirty’ job (to influence) and in this way incrementally diverge form the ‘people’, from democracy. It should be forbidden for ‘das capital’ to influence on legislators / lawmaking.
Your point ‘the bigger goverment-the smaller people is also very true and exactly that’s why I fear my own EU goverment (27 countries) what I liken to a JUGGERNAUT. and as such, in my view a dangerous unconducable constellation of a MONSTER. – which are UNSTOPable and big enough to destroy everything on it’s way in whatever direction it goes – and maybe – eventually – it self. (I think of Jugoslavia here.! )

continued…. boy – how it works – try again…
Concerning a goverment body for all countries on earth.
Why are some people afraid for a WG. ?
Of course it is untenable to have a regime where it’s the minority who decides over the majority, which can’t hardly be called a democracy.
Well, it isn’t hard to understand why you are, Kathy, as an American citicen accustomed with lies and deceptions for going to war, bad economy etc. but today in a new post, Peter Holden warns against :["their climate change propaganda. The powers that be stand to reap billions of dollars from this scam"""] but at the same time recommend people to CLOSE THEIR EYES (do not watch the grim informations from the television). Should it now be detrimental to watch television.? – judge for yourself.
My arguement nr one for a UWG is: the single country, cannot solve problems of water, air (co2) pollutings etc. issues which do not respect borders.
In other words:
It is NOT fair that single countries do pollute excessively on the cost of other nations.
What is left to decide is what and how much is the pollution and how much to cost. There no other than you and me to pay the bill.
Just also to mention also:
is that when America elect it’s president every 4′th year the world watch ‘the game’ through their TVset because’ the hole world knows how much this president influences on their lifes and therefore also ought to have say / vote in this elect.

ok anyway..
I’m glad you told me that Kathy. – what can I do for you my friend ?
I have often thought of from where, from what source /TV/radio- channel the average American gets, especially their newsinformations. ? I you will tell me that please. I’m curious about that.
I, myself have hundreds of NEWS channels, TV / radios, fetched frorm three satellites, ASTRA 19.2 & 28.5 and HOTBIRD To name the most important :
BBC(news&world /radio), ITV, SKY, CNN (not FOX for GOD sake) MS-NBC, ALJAZEERA,
PRESSTV(the best in my opinion, at the moment) and CCTV(China) FRANCE24, and EURONEWS (all English speaking) to name a few but hottest(watched on a daily basic) of those channels I switch between for news. I think it is few Danes who have so many channels but at least the have BBCWorld and SKYnews and CNN and maybe MS-NBC(most for business-people).
and especially I would like to know, Kathy.? if you have access to Presstv.ir (the bastard from IRAN – they have studios in both Washington and London and over the hole world, right form the heart of the enemy)
peace’n love

Oh John, you are so sweet. No there is nothing you have to do for me. I had my tv disconnected. When it was on I realized that all of our channels were owned by 5 large conglomerates who decided what we the American people would see or have open for discussion. The main newspapers here are owned by the same 5. They control what is published and what is given to the American people for discussion or consideration.
Now John, there are a few differnet companies here who provide access service to tv channels. I only bought the basic package and had a couple of hundred channels. I didn’t have international channels. I did get local news and CNN news. But my basic package cost $70 per month and many of my co-workers bought a bigger selection of channels and paid nearly $200 per month for them. They could probably get Aljazeera and Euronews and presstv. (maybe?)
I don’t know what they got my friend! I was busy raising three children by myself and didn’t have much time for lots and lots of tv.
But it’s funny/weird that you mentioned the presstiv.ir (the bastard from IRAN) I don’t know of that channel but here’s what is strange…you said you watch our presidential election every 4 years. And here, we don’t get other countries’ election news coverage. BUT…this past summer when my tv was still turned on, they kept showing us on all the channels about Iran and their green revolution. They showed us the elections and the people in the streets protesting that the election was fake. Now John, they had shown us a little bit when the Iraqis supposedly went out and voted because we were supposed to think that we had somehow made them a free democracy and now they were happy to be able to go vote like us. But they showed us much more Iran protest and I asked myself WHY? WHY are the Iranian people marching in the streets holding signs written in English when English isn’t their language? Then the young woman NEDA got shot. They showed this video several times to the American people and deemed NEDA to be the symbol or martyr of the plight of the poor Iranians who were protesting.
The first time I saw poor NEDA get shot I was horrified. But as they kept replaying that scene I started to ask myself….”who was holding that camera?” That camera was following NEDA as she walked sometimes back and forth as if talking to friends in one spot and then going to another spot. And then the camera captured the shooting. Why was that camera on NEDA for that long instead of just being a camera capturing the crowd of thousands? I believe it’s because they want us Americans to concentrate on certain things while ignoring others.
We all think there is going to be war with Iran right? And we all wonder if America will attack or if Israel will attack. I believe they wanted us Americans to see a protest so that we could believe these poor people (most of them have been mistreated by their illegal elections) They want us to feel that the people of Iran need to be liberated from Ahmadinajad (I don’t think I can spell his name correctly) But the point is, when the invasion of Iran happens, they want to brainwash the Americans that we have to attack Iran or back Israel in their attack in order to save those poor people….the ones that NEDA died for….from the evil ruler of Iran. John, when my tv was still connected, it didn’t matter which channel I had it on. It was the same story over and over……..

Dear John, if it were I pay for the amount of pollution I cause.. that would be fair! I would love that! unfortunately IT will not be that way. Biggest polluters are CORPORATIONS. They always find ways to escape liabilites. The bills get paid by the lowest rank. Sheeple. us.
The One World government?
As if pollution would be their problem. You think? If most governments in most countries have failed, are corrupted, prone to war, prone to polluting, cheating, imposing undemocratic measures on their citizens, what makes us believe that suddenly these “countries” or “people” would be able to suddenly achieve what centuries of politics were not able to: a FAIR HONEST DECENT DEMOCRATIC World Government? That IS an illusion.
It is an oxymoron. It is an utopic concept, such as communism, euqality of humans in front of the law, or … tooth fairy.
That is my opinion. NO COUNTRY had ever been able to avoid corrupted individuals to infiltrate power positions and lead these sheep to slaughter, planet included. Centralization of power, more concentration than it already exists will only lead to one sure outcome: despotism under the pretext of “favoring” the “planet”.
Nobody in power position really cares about the planet. Else they would have educated the people properly and timely. People were educated to waste and consume. Even now, we are educated to buy more cars, given incentives.. to keep up the “economy”.. ha ha ha..
who do you think will form the World Government? you and Grace and Kathy?
Or the same lobby sharks.
Of course.
I LOVE THIS EARTH. I LOVE IT! I do my part. When I take a shower, when I eat, when I stop wondering around like a pinball ball, and bought a bike. When I question every thing I purchase. is it needed , like cannot live without it, or not. When I plant a tree and I take care of a plant. But I frankly do not believe my beloved planet earth will be saved by Taxes, Carbon Credits, and World Government. All to the contrary.
