After all, I could’ve sent 60,000 U.S. troops to Afghanistan…
Afghanistan is another of our ‘just’ wars and I decide what is just!
You laugh. Damn, what else do I have to do to convince you?”

Mr. Nobel Laureate and War President wrote a book of which he often referred to in his campaign for the presidency of the United States entitled “The Audacity of Hope”. I have not read it (nor will I ever) but it must have made the best selling list in the area of hypocrisy.

LT, his use of the word ‘just’ to describe the carnage in Afghanistan is mind boggling! It was just about getting access for a pipeline.
I believe that the major oil companies are lining up in Iraq to divide up Iraqi oil between them. That was another ‘just’ war I suppose, one about WMDs, wasn’t it?
This world is a madhouse!

Zionist, militarist, Rothchild Empire controlled USA President B. Obama deserves to be shunned by decent law-abiding folk, and humiliated, forever, unless he DOES change, for the better.
In the meantime Australia’s zionist, militarist, Rothschild Empre-controlled government is persecuting feisy Brendon O’Connell for daring to publicly challenge Judaism and the Talmud. You can keep track of him at http://www.brendonoconnell.blogspot.com. He is to appear in court on 12/11/09.

One should be careful not to judge only by appearance, David

Oh David! If that picture was published somewhere in America with that caption there would be screams of racism everywhere! That would not have been the case with George W Bush because he was white. The problem is with both Bush and Obama, how can one ever take a picture of a snake wearing a business suit and holding a gun? The chimp will just have to do!

David, that’s one of the best questions ever asked of someone. Thank you. Thank you also for the great articles and beautiful pictures.
I too think it’s bizarre Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize. I’m sure he knows he doesn’t deserve it by his expression in one of the photos of him accepting it.

Therese, thanks for the link. I’ll follow it up!
John, I judged Obama by his appearance and his grand speeches and, boy, was I wrong. I think a few other people were too!
Kathy, given that chimps were our early ancestors it can hardly be racist to remind people of that fact. Obama’s failings are common to most humans regardless of their ethnicity or skin colour!
Kristen, thanks for your kind words. I love writing and selecting the images to go with the text. Glad someone appreciates my efforts.

Ron Paul admirably. publicly called for Obama to give the Nobel Peace (hee hee] prize back. Yet, I read that the latrest Gallop Poll, asking which person would you rather be your president, Bush or Obama, 44% of USAers answered, Bush. Ouch!!

I wonder if Obama while celebrating Hannukka at the WhiteHouse, discussed Piper’s book, THE GOLEM; Israel’s Hell Bomb and the Road to Armageddon, with the Jews. Ban the Bomb!!

http://www.enduswars.org is sponsoring a massive anti-escalation of the war protest outside the White (Whore) House today, from 1-4, with precious Dennis Kucinich, Cynthia McKinney, Cindy Sheehan and other antiwar notable speakers. It is freezing cold here, but sure would love to see a massive show of support. One rabbi, Michael Lerner, is sending a message to be read aloud.

Of cause (In the bigger picture) also I think it is completely ridiculous to give a man who escalate war (of aggression) this prize.
(on second thoughts by this ‘bigger picture’ also, my first comment were irrelevant – if not stupid )
I watched the picture of a chimp which face probably immediate would scare the hell out most peoples mind although chimps is the most lovely and peacefully beast living on earth.
Non the less I do not doubt a second that these ‘lovely creature’ can be brainwashes to undertake very stupid things, including murder etc. – - not to think of the destruction it could cause to the world as the ‘ commander in chief’ of army of a 500.000 trops armed to the teeth with the most modern weaponry.
really scaring that 44% prefer a warcriminal as their president in the US.

David I agree with you 100% that it’s not racist but just saying….this is what it’s come to in the USA. I’m a white woman who voted for BO because I thought he was going to undo the damage caused by GWB. Now that he’s not doing what I wanted, when I voice my opinion and dis-satisfaction I am called an angry white person who is just angry because a black man is in the white house. All logic has disappeared and that makes me angry as hell.
ATherese, I wonder what the polls would show if they were to ask Americans who they would rather have if the choices were BO and Ron Paul? I bet Ron would have some high percentages don’t you?

It is so difficult, if not impossible, to critize someone who is black or jewish. You are immediately labeled a racist or anti-semite and that ends the disscussion. There is nothing more to be said, no one will listen to anything you have to say.

I know that’s true Jeannie. And it shouldn’t be. But in this world today left is right and black is white, up is down and the rabbit hole just keeps getting deeper and deeper.

Regarding Barak Obama & judging a book by the cover, I cringe to admit that I imagined BO would be compassionate compared to “born with the silver spoon” crowd of Bushes, Kennedys, etc.
Even if Obama had directly experienced slavery or had living family members who came thru it would be no guarantee…….look how the holocaust survivors put on the discards of the German nazis.
You would think it would cause a perso to pause & choose the moral course of action; that is rarely the case.
Giving BO the Peace Prize was a communication break down betweeen the world’s elites.
He’s escalating, intends to escalate perpetually if possible.
It makes a mockery of the Peace Prize, why not give it to the displaced people in Iraq..

Unfortunately, Obama leads the world’s principal warmongering nation.
I’ve heard him use the ‘I’m the Commander in Chief’ phrase lots of times now. It rolls off his tongue so easily, much as it did with George Bush.
Giving so much power to one man is ridiculous. It is asking for trouble especially in a nation that, economically, is geared up for endless war, that makes money from it, that is clearly seeking world domination while pretending to be spreading peace and democracy.
Iraq shows what America is spreading!

But David, so much power was never supposed to be given to one man under our original constitution. Only the congress was supposed to vote on whether or not to declare a war. GWB started this trend after 9/11. Our constitution called for three branches of govt that were supposed to keep each other in checks and balances. Executive branch= president….legislative branch= congress…judicial branch= supreme court. If one gets out of order the others are supposed to do something to bring them into balance.
GWB signed some crazy executive orders that went unchallenged because we the people didn’t know about them, media didn’t talk about them, and congress didn’t debate them!!
Every president to my understanding has the ability to sign executive orders and they have throughout history. But congress always had oversight to pass or not into law. But under GWB they somehow changed it to say that congress has no right to even debate until 6 months after the executive order… this is not original constitutional protocol.
If any of you here have a different understanding of our constitution and executive orders please share. There have been thousands of EO’s signd over the decades. I certainly haven’t had a chance to look at all of them. This dictatorial power could have been put into place prior to GWB. But at any rate David, all three branches were supposed to be kept in check by an active and educated citizenry. There’s the real problem!! Freedom equals responsibility and the sheeple have been asleep!!

Kathy, I certainly don’t claim to be an expert on American law. I seem to recall that many articles I’ve read seem to give the impression that the American President the right to take the country to war but then my memory is imperfect also.
There are also supposed to be Constitutional Conventions where the people meet and vote to change dubious aspects of the Constitution but these have rarely, if ever, been used.
Certainly, the American Constitution did not enable America to be a warmongering nation, of that I’m sure. But I agree that the people of America have gone to sleep perhaps with the assistance of the MSM and the corporations. It’s also true that some of the other branches of Government are not doing their job. The stacking of the judicial branch with political appointees is but one example.
Cheers.

The president can declare war if there is credible imminent threat to the nation.
seems at least as far back as jfk presidents have usurped this power.
War seems to be USA’s oxygen, the necessity for perpetual war ought to be a clue that
this experiment has gone on far too long & failed abysmally.
I’m not sure if obama has woken up to the terrible fix he’s managed to get into…I feel trouble brewing.

Kate Bates, I think you are correct that all the presidents have usurped powers and I probably laid too much blame on GWB. (Although I think he is an evil little twirp.) And yes Obama must have walked into a mess of great magnitude but instead of putting the changes in place that we believed he would, he has only expanded on Bush’s policies. That makes him a worse criminal in my mind. Certainly not deserving of a peace prize..
David it does appear by media and articles that the prez has the power to declare war all by himself. And not that it matters much because it seems that our law makers don’t use the constitution any more, but Article 1 section 8 gives the power to declare war to congress alone. The prez is supposed to act as the commander in chief. Oddly enough, it also says that congress is not to appropriate money for war for any longer than two years.
In 1973 they passed the war powers act. Under that act, the prez can start a military use of force without waiting on congress’ approval. But sometime within that first 60 days, congress either has to declare war, or they have to vote to authorize the use of force. If they don’t pass such a rule, the prez has 30 days to withdraw the troops from the conflict.
In 2002, the congress passed the congressional authorization to use force in Iraq. They didn’t declare war on Iraq or against Iraq. I don’t understand why they felt the need to change the wording but there must be some evil purpose behind it. War is war is war..and Obama is a war president, not a peace prize president. He should give back his award and apologize to the world.

Kate, when you said that: ‘War seems to be USA’s oxygen’ you really put your finger on the major problem in the world and the main reason why peace will never flourish!
Kathy, GWB showed that the American Constitution can be completely ignored without punishment. The President can act like a despotic Monarch and use the army to protect him and stifle dissent.
Surely this should frighten American citizens into action!

I read something just today that claimed the US Constitution calls for congress to debate the very necessity of a standing army every 2 years.
Someone has been shirking their duties….could it be the each & every member of congress, senate, executive branch, legislative, supreme court, appointees..
look at Joe Wilson (Valerie Plame’s husband) he was a diplomat, an envoy & he did more to throw a wrench in Cheney/Bush war plans than anyone else I can think of.
I’m most disheartened by the “so called” journalists, who are nothing but parrots echoing the “official” spin, with no context & no criticism.

Kate, I think they’ve all shirked their duties. Journalists in America have become nothing but media whores of government and big corporations/bankers. I shall have to study Joe Wilson now to catch myself up on this story. Thanks for the information.
I will retire for the evening now. It’s nearly 11:30. Helicopters just flew over again. Seems that we’ve had way too many helicopters this year. I’m close to Ft Campbell Ky army base and we usually hear a few but this has been daily all year and that’s not normal. I have to wonder what they’re up to????

I’m referring to former ambassador Joseph Wilson, who went to Nigeria for Cheney’s office to check of the “yellow cake” that Saddam was claimed to be procuring to make wmd.
Wilson’s wife, Valerie Plame, worked for the CIA with a speciality in Iranian wmd, and her identity and job was revealed to punish Wilson for publishing in the NYT the truth that the papers about Nigerian yellow cake were forgeries.
To this day, Cheney & his cronies find sneaky, underhanded ways to punish those who disagree with them, those who have the audacity to tell the people the truth and refuse to back down when threatened.
Revealing the identity of a CIA opperative is treason, I believe this lead to the death of an operative that worked with Ms.Plame, but my memory is a bit fuzzy.
It waas more proof that the Iraq war was unnecessary, and those who are supposed to represent us are cowards whose only concern is reelection + more free US taxpayer $$$$.
revealed by “Scooter” Libby (Cheney’s chief of staff)
ToTally OFF the Subject: yesterday, here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, a friend & I saw several bomber planes flying over. My pal explained to me how you can tell they’re bombers, but the sight of these death machines patrolling my sky was enough to freeze the blood in my veins.
They’ve already bombed Philadelphia PA in my lifetime…….please don’t bomb us in Pgh., we’re just struggling to get by. Love, Kate B

Kate Bates, journalists are hobbled by the owners of their media outlets. Such owners don’t want the true results of war or capitalism to be shown to the public in case it causes folk to ask questions and demand answers.
Kathy, helicopters flying sounds ominous. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Iran wasn’t attacked before Xmas.

last post for me tonight:
I just read previous post I wrote, I’m sleepy & hope you aren’t too confused.
Scooter Libby was “officially” charged with spilling the beans on Valerie Plame.
He was prosecuted & convicted by a special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald.
It was proof to me that war, killing, murder, mayhem, kidnapping are all just a lark
to government officials, especially those appointed by idealogues.
excuse me if I’m babbling.
