“Ask not what your country can do for you.
Ask instead which ‘terrist’ heathens you can kill for your country!
We must protect the Homeland, especially the mansions,
investments and motor yachts of our rich and famous!”
President Obama, as he promised, has brought real change. He has announced that he is escalating the war in Afghanistan in a major way and it is evident that he is increasing his threatening rhetoric against Iran.
Hail Obama, the peacemaker!
That’s not the change we wanted. He was supposed to undo the damage that Bush had done. Instead he has expanded it. America can’t go on like this.

during ww2 french resistance fighters against the ‘invasion’ of their country were regarded as ‘heroes’. iraqis and afghanistanis are classed (by usa/uk/etc) as ‘terrists’………

I never beleived the hype that Obama would bring real change, but I never thought he would be even worse than Bush. There is no real difference between democrates and republicans. There is no one in government that can or will do anything for the majority of the people in the US or anywhere else in the world.
All this will do is make more enemies and kill more people. And, of course, make the rich richer.
America needs a new revolution to stop the current madness.
Only I am afraid that an new revolution will be lead by rightwing madmen who will lead us into an even greater hell.
I am very afraid for the future of my grandson and the new grandbaby due next spring. The world they will growup into will be one very different from what I would wish for them and for all children.
This descent into a manmade hell seems to be unstopable.

Kathy, it can and will go on like this. Those who control the country want it this way and what the people want just doesn’t count.
Coco, I have tried to make that point over and over but people are very selective about what they want to remember. The citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan are not terrorists. They just want the brutal American invaders to get out of their countries.
Jeannie, the people have the power to cleanse their country if they only realize it. They must be woken from their stupor, from their apathy. And the way to do that is to expose war for what it is and to expose the monsters who use war to make lots of money.

Hello to all…
I seem to recall a promise that candidate Barack Obama made while campaigning for the presidency of the United States. It went something like this… “the first thing I will do when I become president is to bring our troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan”.
That was then, this is now… “President Barack Obama says the war in Afghanistan is not lost as he announces he will send another 30,000 U.S. troops to fight it”.
Washington D.C. is nothing but a den of thieves and liars!

LT, I listened to Obama’s speech. I nearly vomited. The only thing that saved me was that there was little or no cheering or standing ovations.
Protecting the Homeland and our Allies (the whole two or three of them) involves killing hundreds of thousands of people who live on the other side of the world, impoverished people with rifles who couldn’t possibly threaten America. It involves invading their lands, appointing puppet governments, and taking their resources.
That most Americans believe Obama demonstrates that most Americans are sheeple who are not exceptional but exceedingly mediocre!

Coco, you are right my friend,
David, the Nazi’s also had the audacity to call the Cossaks and partisans terrosits as well. One mans terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter so resistance is a right to an invasion and occupation and you don’t need a court to tell you that. The Yanks don’t see it that way, they see themselves as the Police man of the world, the only ones justified to act with aggression at any percieved non threat. I provoke thought in people when I ask them….What is the difference between a suicide bomber and an F16 Fighter Pilot?……..there is no difference…. They both kill innocents. Afghanistan is a myth, the myth of empires crumbled at the foot hills of the Hindu Kush, The myth has history backing it up 100% and the Allies see this as a challenge, that their empire cannot be defeated by a tribal 4th world country. So they will stick around until the are totaly defeated or negotiate a withdrawal with the so called terrorists they had been tryng to eradicate. Remeber Ideas are bomb and bullet proof!!!!!!!!!!!

Kemosobi, it is not easy to understand the typical American mindset. It is a mixture of religion, extreme nationalism, racism, love of violence, greed and a total inability to engage in either reflection or self-examination.
They are their own worst enemies!

demagogue puppet. heheheh I sooo pity the people who associate themselves with a race or color. When I am asked about my citizenship I say human, and even that I m not afraid of. Cause bloooddddyyyy heeeellllll, i am not responsible for the crimes of someone who has a certain skin color. I am also not the absolute beneficiary of some eternal benefits cause someone of my color suffered some century ago.. so I cash in some sort of moral reward and become a perpetual victim… I am no damn specimen of any color or religion or race. What the hell is wrong with these humans???????????????????????????????????
FUNNIEST thing though, is when a certain “fraction” associates itself with the whitest black , half what? this that, religion what? this that? homeland what? this that?
Then it is not disturbing anymore.. it is FUNNY LIKE FUUUUUNNIIIIIIEEESSSSSTTTT thing ever!!!! One can hit jackpot like this hehehehehhe
HE IS “ONE OF US”! My ass.
HEHEHEHHEHEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Adina, to answer your question about ‘what is wrong with these humans’ would require something about the size of a book! I love your answer about ‘citizenship’
The ‘demagogue puppet’ is brilliant.
Take care.

Actually, Obama never said he would stop the war in Afghanistan. He threatened to attack Pakistan during the campaign, also.
People just ignored the obvious because they wanted to believe.
He also voted to continue the Patriot Act, to bailout the banks and for the torture act (Military Commissions Act).
It was very plain well before the election that Obama was a willing tool of the ruling class.
I fell for him in 2004, and voted for him for senator. But I was way over him by 2008, as anyone would have been if they had PAID ATTENTION!
Cynthia McKinney was an honest congressperson, and a great candidate for President.
That less than 1,000,000 Americans voted for Nader and McKinney combined (if you believe what they tell us), is a sickening comment on America and the people’s willingness to be lied to, over and over, without ever learning.
You hear people saying now that they’ve learned their lesson, that both parties are the same, that they won’t be fooled again.
Yeah, they will. You watch.
In 2012, they’ll put up Sarah Palin, and all the Democrats will fall back into line. “Ooooh, we can’t have her for President” they’ll say. “Scary. We have to vote for Obama”
It won’t matter then that Obama has continued Bush’s wars and started new ones. It won’t matter that civil liberties remain gone, and banks are favored over people. They’ll fall for it again.
Even now, I’ll point out to people that Obama has killed more people in Pakistan than Bush ever did, and created 2,000,000 refugees in Pakistan. “Give him a chance” they say. “He can’t fix everything right away”.
What chance? Fix what? He has gone BEYOND Bush in his killing and misery making.
Pay Attention!

Wagelaborer, I followed Obama through the whole Presidential election. He gave the strong impression that he was going to radically change the direction of America from where Bush had taken it, that he was an agent of change. Even I was excited by his rhetoric!
I can understand why many Americans are disappointed but then power corrupts, doesn’t it?

Evidently, those who expected Obama to ease up on Afghanistan and not kill Pakistanis did not listen to his campaign rhetoric with a good ear, note the names of his campaign contributors and advisors, or heed his visit and promises to the evil Jewish state of Israel. Besides, all voters needed to know about Obama was his pro-war, pro-banker, voting record while he was Senator. Once elected to Congress, he never once spoke out against the wars for zionism, militarism, profiteering, and drug pushing governments.
Some Jewish organizations put out statements that by the end of his first term, he will prove that he is a Jew. I mean only a Jew is allowed to preside over seder, the Passover dinner, and that is what he did, at the White House.
http://www.enduswars.org is sponsoring a DC protest against Obama’s escalation, come December 12. Go to their website, and if you voted for Obama and against war, you need to do the right thing, and at least protest him. Ring the White House.

America’s “War President” accepts peace price. Well folks now I’ve seen it all! I now am convinced beyond any doubt that the Nobel Price is nothing but a sham. Also, it appears that the war president has rejected all the formalities that go along with the occasion such as having dinner with the King of Norway and other festivities. Mr. war president doesn’t have time for such meaningless activities and he’s only there to be honored and then he’s out of there. The arrogance… I love it!!! It serves them right for those unworthy peasants in Norway trying to suck-up to God! The irony is just too much!

Mahatma Gandhi who was not recognized for his peace efforts and Martin Luther King who did receive the Nobel honor are among the legends that this clown (Obama) will stand with. The hypocrisy is beyond belief!
Reply
Therese, I suppose after Bush, we all hoped that Obama would be so different. He is a great disappointment!
LT, the irony and hypocrisy is as deep as the Grand Canyon. The award has made a mockery of the whole Nobel institution and lessened the deserved honour for other more deserving recipients.
