When Did The Takeover Begin?

Friends, for many years I have watched the progress of America with growing alarm. The country I see now is very different to that which I admired as a younger man. It has moved from a country which much of the world looked up to to one that much of the world now despises and hates.
The change in America has been slow and subtle. One reason for that is the messages it sends out are often contradictory. One minute it is talking about freedom, human rights and democracy. The next minute it is invading and occupying resource-rich nations who stand little chance against its military might. Torture and rendition are also regularly used.
Having crushed its prey, we have a situation like Afghanistan where a crook is its President and chaos prevails. Iraq is little better. It seems that Iran in next on its hit list with Pakistan soon to follow.
To my mind the pigs from Animal Farm have assumed human form and gained control of America.
Consumed by greed for money and power, they, ever cunning, have highjacked the nation that once saw itself as the beacon on the hill. They, enriched by unregulated capitalism, have seized the nation by promoting the greed ethic then used their ill-gotten trillions to control the politicians and the political process. The rest is, as they say, history.
The U.S. military has become a willing servant of American corporations and billionaires to say nothing of the powerful Christian and Zionist lobbies. So the situation now is that America no longer cares about international law or Geneva Conventions or morality. Using its military, it does whatever it likes.
My question to Americans is: when did the pigs gain control of your country? I can’t clearly identify a period when the rot really set in.
Have the pigs always been there? Did they make their move after the Civil War? Was WW2 the catalyst? Did it start with Vietnam with the military hiding America got?
The most important question is: can Orwell’s pigs be deposed? Can American citizens rise from the ashes and get rid of the pigs, reinvent themselves, then turn their country into a peaceful nation instead of being the world’s No1 warmonger?
Or will the pigs who live in mansions and own large motor yachts prevail and, using nukes, lead the world towards its end?
Please enlighten me!

I agree. I also as a young man believed in America. I did up until the internet arrived, and
still at that time believed the cause for the first gulf war was probably a just cause. I must admit I was sucked in by the propoganda of the ‘Incubator falsehoods from the little lying girl. Her Saudi parents should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to her.
After 911my first thought was “America is going to have to take a close look at itself and ask why? my second thought was “America is going to have to check every hi-rise building, because if there’s another fire it may collapse”
When Bush decided to invade Iraqi I thought it was just typical American B…S and bravado.
Inspectors Hans Blix and Scott Ritter had already told them there were no WMDs. Saddam’s son-in-law after defecting told the UK there were no WMDs. When he returned to Iraqi he was executed for treason. I say fair enough too. I was shocked when Bush attacked Iraq. As far as I’m concerned it was illlegal and there can no longer be a UN. America ignored the UN when it Attacked Iraq, so it can no longer be a member, and the UN needs to dismantle itself.
When did America begins it’s slide into the gutter? As soon as it ignored the Laws and sense of common decency. Back at the turn of the last century.
So, America can attack on the basis of a pre-emptive strike. I believe every nation should
therefore seriously consider pre-emptive strikes against Israel, The UK, USA, and any other nation that threatens the safety of the worlds’ population, and peace. I want my country run
in a fair and balanced way. By the people for the people. I’m willing to accept different rule.
Hey Morales, Castro, Chavez, have a chat to Medvedev, Hu and Gilani. See what you can come up with. You might just be welcomed with open arms.

Dave, perhaps the pigs began to get a hoof-hold when America began to believe its own B.S. about being exceptional. Then again the carpetbaggers were prominent in early times when the six gun ruled and men who were men shot it out at High Noon.
Then, of course, John Wayne came along and showed how America, single-handedly, won WW2 while George Bush showed the world that even a village idiot could be President.
The thing is that, during the time my blog has been in operation, I have met a lot of decent, thinking, moral Americans who are disgusted by what their country has become. How come people like these have so little say in their country’s affairs while the brain dead, religious fanatics and the greedy seem to predominate?

David, my thought is that Pigs were imported and led the game from day one of transoceanic travel planning. They managed the destruction of the locals. They set in the New World Order at that time
ha ha ha
and they will always rock the boat and lead us to slaughter.. as we sheeple are indeed too stupid, too lazy, too selfish, too afraid, can t unite and can’t be coherent.
They are right to call us sheeple.
We need “leaders”.. and we keep falling of cliffs…
That’s what we do best.
Plus, most of the sheeple in the pigs position would do the same they are doing.
So. Good bye “human” “civilization” pun intended.

G’day David G,
(more power to ya!) – as to your Q; adina probably has it right, that is to say from the very beginning. The N-Am inhabitants prior to the European ‘invasion’ were given short shrift & driven to the brink of extinction – but they, like Aus-Abos, were considered primitive if not outright sub-human. A bit like the I/J/Z-plex regards the previous legal owner/occupiers of the land they have stolen and now brutally & illegally occupy (i.e. the poor, hapless & immorally dispossessed Palestinians). Blum (“Rogue State” “Killing Hope”) puts a turning-point around 1893 when the US ‘took over’ Hawaii, but I think the most important ‘cusp’ occurred when Wilson recruited Bernays. Try this, Freud’s Bastards by Aetius Romulous. The somewhat brief article provides a key to understanding how the ‘sheople’ phenomenon arose, and why they don’t / won’t / can’t provide any effective countervailing force. The enduring question I have is why the rest of the world tolerates the vicious US/Z murdering-to-steal criminality. What are Sarkozy & Merkel, say, thinking? They must know a) that they are being cowardly quislings, and b) that we truth & justice seekers are watching them.

Hello David..trust you are doing well…We are in the trouble we are in so that a balance between Good and Evil can be addressed….there is a video you can watch on line called
“The Century of the Self”..it explained a lot to me about how the ascent of Money to GOD was accomplished in the last 100 yrs in this country….Chief Tecumseh said “abuse no one and no thing for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of it’s vision.” Keep on working your own acre and continue to be real human beings manifesting the Spirit within us and be of help to those in need. Remember what strength there is in Solidarity…Do what you can to aid in these difficult times….Kate

How perfectly odd – and how perfectly convergent! Although my 1st comment is stuck in moderation, I mentioned Bernays – then Kate comes along and quotes a prime source:
“The Century of the Self”… «Part One: Happiness Machines
The story of the relationship between Sigmund Freud and his American nephew, Edward Bernays. Bernays invented the public relations profession in the 1920s and was the first person to take Freud’s ideas to manipulate the masses. He showed American corporations how they could make people want things they didn’t need by systematically linking mass-produced goods to their unconscious desires.»
It gets worse (natch!) PR is merely propaganda ‘dressed up’ – and we are being drowned in both PR & propaganda. Note that it is our so-called ‘leaders’ (aka kleptocracy = tyrants) who are propagandising us (we the sheople); via the corrupt & venal MSM and with active help from publicly-financed broadcasters like ‘our’ AusBC.
Bah! Double bah!! Boo! Hiss!

It probably happened when the first white man landed on it’s shore. The native americans were not perfect and engaged in wars and torture, but not anywhere near the scale that the new invaders did. They managed to live on the land without, for the most part, destroying it and to live with their neighbors without massive slaughters. Women had rights and were respected, important parts of their coomunities as were the animals they shared their lives with.
Our founding fathers owned slaves and thought the country should be run by the rich owners for the benefit of the rich owners. At first only white men who owned land could vote. Not exactly a democracy.
In some ways conditions have improved for many americans, but in many other ways they have gotten worse and as american has gotten more and more powerful the rest of the world has suffered terrible harm from our immoral actions.
I am ashamed to be an american.

Adina, humans have such potential yet most of it is wasted while we continue to flounder in the deep swamp of our own, dark nature.
Meagain, God, guns and false patriotism combined with greed and love of violence will prove to be our undoing!
Phil, g’day! I too can’t work out why other world leaders are not more vocal about the threat that America poses to the world. It’s not that America hides it. To my mind, most politicians are part of the Pig Culture along with most of the sheeple.
Kate, I do what I can but sometimes I feel that the task of turning around humans is an impossibility. Greed and a weakness for religious belief seems to make most people easy to manipulate and the Pigs know this.
Phil, one only has to look at the spread of mobile phones and 4WDs to see how easily the masses can be controlled. Most humans can’t think. They just follow the crowd and do the bidding of the advertisers and the politicians!
Jeannie, there are many good Americans just like you. The problem is that the Pigs are pulling all the strings. I wonder if, eventually, what happened in the French Revolution will happen in America and the people will rise up and cleanse their country of the Fat Cats who, remorselessly, are sucking the country and them dry.
Cheers to all!

I’m inspired by the PR talk.
PR
If a tree were a human, it would sure die of shame.
Living life always bending to avoid all the blame?
Not to offend the ones who don’t like to see shade.
Not to offend the ones who want a leaveless lawn.
Not to offend the wind for stopping its way.
Not to offend the bees for turning flowers fruits.
Not to offend the fruits for hosting worms.
Not to offend the worm for letting go.
Not to offend the Sun for getting too close.
If a tree were human, it would simply die in seed.
To spread himself, so avid, pretending not to need?
To look down on the grass, to shade that sucker down
To deny his own leaves once they re down on the lawn
To partition the airspace, to maximize his own
To bend always spineless, avoinding the windblow
To use the bees and talk them, to work harder and harder
To sell his fruits expensive to the ignorant farmer
To hide the worms deeper, so the farmer wont see
Then claim “my own production is the best it could be”.
But the tree, unlike humans
Had a conscience and pride.
So he said to himself ” takes too much to PR me”.
“I d rather move to forest, or simply stop be.”

I posted another comment but dissapeared.. don t know where.
I ll summarize.
PR is FAKING to be REAL.
PR is instilled in us since early age.
PR is THE disease of our Race.
That is why we turn out to be FAKE.
That is why there are only few places and peolpe we can be real with (and most of them, impersonal places facilitated by Internet and remote communication means).
Parents, school, higher education, and climax… years and years of office and business interaction deform us into obedient slaves to a politically correct image. what society expects of us..where you cannot be YOURSELF…
Whomever dares to be genuine is excluded, paria..
But what the masters forget, as do the ignorant masses who idolatrize the “public person” admired for what we call “charisma” and “professionalism”.. what they do forget is that
PR is sublimated FEAR!
PR is pure FEAR, at its deepest.
Do you get it?
PR IS FEAR!
FEAR of inadequacy.
FEAR of consequences for not being liked for who you are.
FEAR of losing something which maybe you dont even need.
FEAR.
FEAR at its highest and deepest.
I am HAPPY therefore.
Iam FREE of this.

Kate thanks for mentioning the video. I watched all 4 hours of it yesterday and it’s a real eye opener. I learned more about Freud and especially his nephew Bernays than I had ever heard before.
After watching I took a short nap and then got up to head to the bank to cash a check my brother had written me for helping him work last week. My 22 year old son went with me as he had his own check to cash. I went to the drive through window because I looked like I just woke up and hadn’t brushed my hair. The bank teller at the window said I would have to come inside to cash the check because I didn’t have an account there. (It was the bank where my brother has his account so I thought this would be easy.)
When I went inside they told me I had to show ID and give them my right thumb print. I’m very used to showing my ID but when I asked the teller inside why I had to give them my thumb print every teller in the bank stopped what they were doing to listen to my conversation. I counted 6 tellers in all and an old man who came up to stand behind me that I assumed was the head of that branch.
The teller told me that it was the rule. I asked “whose rule?” Of course she told me it was the bank’s rule. So I asked again “What is the rule for?” She said it’s just for security. I asked “Whose security?” She said the bank and their account holders.
I was in no way angry or raising my voice. My fingerprints have been on file in the FBI database for years now because they had to have a crimminal background check on me when I worked as a mortgage loan originator. So I wasn’t trying to hide anything.
It just seemed to me that I was doing a transaction with a room full of zombies. I asked the teller that since they wanted me to agree to give up that part of my privacy/security, who all was going to have access to my thumb print? She assured me that it would be completely safe only passing through their banking system. I played along and said “Good! I wouldn’t want anyone to be able to get my personal ID card information PLUS my thumbprint and commit identity theft against me!”
At that point my son was embarrassed and wanting to get out of there. If he hadn’t been with me I would have probably played with them a little more. I would have asked them if I could use my left thumb instead of my right thumb. I would have asked them if they had any anti-bacterial hand sanitizer now that they had made me stick my thumb into god only knows how many H1N1 germs left on that ink pad by the last 300 customers.
When we got outside on the way to the car my son asked me why that was such a bother to me to give them a thumb print. I told him I wanted to raise questions for them to think about. I told him we are supposed to be a “free” nation with individual rights of privacy. I told him that each time they make a new rule or law we need to question it because at slow and steady increments they take away freedoms and propagandize us into being good little sheeple who never think for themselves and never ask questions.
Those zombies would have gladly turned me over to law enforcement if I had raised my voice in that bank. Those zombies gladly go along to get along even if it means enslaving themselves and each other because “it’s the rule” don’t cha know?
I could have refused to do the transaction and I’ll guarantee you that when I left that bank they would have had a conversation about how I must be a crimminal since I didn’t want to give up my thumb print. American’s are so filled with fear that they can’t even understand someone might ask questions or refuse a rule to make a point about freedom.
David it started long long ago in America and it only gets worse in increments so that people don’t notice too much change at one time. It’s beyond sad!

«”Endgame” is about what he describes as the inherent unsustainability of civilization. In this book he asks: “Do you believe that this culture will undergo a voluntary transformation to a sane and sustainable way of living?” Nearly everyone he talks to says no. His next question is: “How would this understanding — that this culture will not voluntarily stop destroying the natural world, eliminating indigenous cultures, exploiting the poor, and killing those who resist — shift our strategy and tactics? The answer? Nobody knows, because we never talk about it: we’re too busy pretending the culture will undergo a magical transformation.” Endgame, he says, is “about that shift in strategy, and in tactics.”»

Our so-called ‘rulers’ are not at all as portrayed; they are part ripoff-puppets, part tyrants and purely evil.
We the sheople are mislead and waylaid with every possible distraction and/or diversion, as TV/Hollywood offers every possible perversion. (Of course, TV is not *all* bad – just most. Choose your own (intellectual) poison.)
I’ve discussed these sort of things with David G before; essentially one has two options, a) to do (effectively) nothing – and assign oneself ‘passenger’ status, or b) do something, anything, but whatever, take some sort of *effective* action.
At the very least we, justice via truth seekers all, must (as Joe Hill exhorted), first organise, then go on to *force* our systems to deliver both sustainability and justice. Before it’s too late.

Aaaaah the magic of illusion. There are those that would disagree with that perception, i.e. the genocided Native Americans, the enslaved Africans, the oppressed Mexicans. Kate, it’s a world gone crazy huh? Unless they were going to record your ID and match it up to the particular lighter you bought and could somehow track that lighter to the scene of your arson crime……then what was their real point? I think these little rules and regulations are only in place to get us used to our enslavement. Just like my bank story, my fingerprints were already all over that check so there was no legitimate need for them to have me ink one on there.
I read an article not long ago about some of the banks in Canada that were requiring hair and urine samples for customers applying for home loans. Wonder when that will come to America?
The school lock down story is craziness as well. I read more and more stories like that one all the time.
Diana I really like Derrick Jensen. I don’t have any of his books yet but I’ve seen him speaking on several youtube videos and he’s quite refreshing and intelligent to listen to.
Kate Bates the criminal justice system should be called the injustice system here in the states. It’s all about the money and control. My youngest son caused me to learn more about the system than I ever wanted to know when he was arrested 3 years ago for simple possession of marijuana. That would be a long story to tell but oh how I wish they would just go ahead and legalize it. Prohibition of alcohol didn’t work. Prohibition of anything doesn’t work!

David to piggyback on your comment on the criminal “injustice” system… a young man I know personally who is in his 20′s made a mistake getting involved in recreational drug dealing & is now serving 9 years in the federal prison system. The Feds have a system called “mandatory minimums” where each charge is tallied seperately & assigned a penalty. If it’s crack cocaine, for instance, it carries a stiffer penalty than powder. So this young man, who did not commit any act of violence, has to spend the better part of his youth behind bars. In addition, he was set up by law enforcement in a state with the 3 strikes law. The way it works is a “two-striker” who gets busted for the 3rd time (felony), facing 25 to life is given the option of bringing them a conviction and the “two-striker” is allowed to walk. So this naive 25 yr old black man, raised by a hard-working single parent, walked into a trap set up by the system. This was the very first time he had ever been arrested.

Kate the social waters are almost boiling in some ways. I had my tv cut off on October 2nd officially. No more main stream media for me and my kids. I get my news on the internet now.
But someone sent me a link early this year to watch a video called “The Obama Deception” and from there I started looking at the website that was responsible for creating that movie. I go to infowars.com every day to check out what they are posting as news.
Some of the articles are far fetched and this may be a controlled opposition sight and the comments section is somewhat sad. But once in a while someone will leave a comment with a link to go watch something such as Derrick Jensen and I go there to check it out. I have found many educational links that way.

Our state of being (our attitude) is really all we DO have control over. Everything else in this crazy world is out of control. Most people don’t realize the amount of corporate and political manipulation that they are subjected to or what living in a constant state of fear does to them. You do have to make yourself into a fortress, one you can retreat to when it becomes necessary. In protecting yourself you can better attack the forces of evil!

He spread his arms out, like he was expressing the enormity of the threat. I said, why should I have to lose my civil rights because Bush’s buddies hijacked a plane. (This was before I knew that 9-11 was an inside job). I could hear women’s voices around me saying, yeah, yeah. The conductor started to agree with me. I was actually ready to show my ID, because I didn’t want to get thrown off the train, but, like you, I wanted to hassle them and make them think.
The cool thing is that he didn’t ask again for my ID. And he didn’t ask for anyone else’s either.
As for when the US went wrong, I agree with the posters who track it to the beginning, when the Europeans invaded, killed most of the natives, imported slaves, looted and polluted the environment, attacked their neighbors,( Mexico successfully, Canada not so much), and then spread out to attack smaller countries around the world.

Wagelaborer, I agree that America made mistakes right from the beginning but so did a lot of other countries. But they haven’t amassed the world’s biggest armed forces and gone around the world invading and occupying lots of other countries.
America changed following WW2 as if it saw its chance to dominate by stealth (we’re spreading freedom, human rights and democracy). Where America has gone there is destruction, misery, puppet governments, and military bases!
