This game involves one large snake, one small, and many construction ladders!

Friends, there is a new game in town. It is called the U.S.-Israel Settlement Game.

The rules of the game are simple. The U.S., led by Obama, tells Israel:

- that settlement building on occupied land in the West Bank must stop.

This direct order is designed to make the U.S. appear like an honest broker, one who cares deeply about the plight of the Palestinians and things like human rights and democracy. Ha, ha, ha, ha!

Then Israel, via Netanyahu, tells Obama that:

- that settlement building is going to continue where ever approvals have already been given.

- that all settlements must be allowed to expand naturally.

- that they intend to approve 20,000 more homes and units on occupied Palestinian land before peace talks will begin (this was announced today).

The next phase of the game involves much huffing and puffing and mock breast-beating and the sending of gaggles of envoys by the U.S. because Israel appears to be making the world’s military superpower a laughing stock (much as it did when George W. ordered Sharon to get out of Jenin).

But here’s the twist. The U.S. and Israel are playing a game not only against the hapless Palestinians but against the Arab world as well because neither the U.S. or Israel has any intention of allowing the Palestinians to have their own state. Israel wants to create a Greater Israel and the U.S. wants Israel to dominate the whole of the Middle East.

So they’ve decided that the best way to achieve this is for Israel to completely dot the West Bank with settlements while engaging in a charade of making peace and agreeing to a P.S. Meanwhile the U.S. sits on the sidelines gently huffing and puffing while doing absolutely nothing except to pour more money and arms into Israel.

Friends, this game has been going on for decades. It is a cruel, deceptive game. A whole people are being systematically destroyed by two reptilian, conscienceless, greedy, militaristic, imperial nations who love playing games.

They also love killing and taking that which belongs to others.

We need some mongooses to kill the snakes!
