No David I’m not fearful, but I understand people who are when this is drummed home to them by corporate media and governments trying to ratchet up fear for some purpose.

I’m not fearful, I’m angry at the campaign to make us fearful.
And I’m angry at those who choose to profit from others misery. Who choose to live by murder and oppression, rather than cooperation and sharing.
I played a game once with a group of people. We divided up into groups and had the choice of cooperating and getting less, or trying to screw the other group with a possibility of getting more.
As it happened, I was the leader of my group and insisted that we cooperate. The group we were dealing with had another pacifist as its leader.
Our groups ended up with the most, because the other groups tried to screw each other and lost.
We didn’t have the idea of “winning”, just the idea of cooperation, yet we came out ahead.
That is what I want the world to be like.

Kemosobi, the purpose of spreading fear is obvious: a fearful people can be more easily manipulated.
Wage laborer, I join you in your wish re cooperation and sharing. But, unfortunately, wishes are a bit like rainbows: nice, but of little substance.

I just read that a very recent poll results indicate that the VAST majority of the people of the USA support Israel over Hamas and the PA, BLAME them for the incursions of the IDF into Gaza, etc., and do not think that Israel’s allowing goods and services into Gaza, will lead to peace. ICH has a link, and the Israel Project did the conducting of it. Sooo, I can’t help but fear the vast majority of USAers. Sorry.

I do things to avoid feeling fear. Fear is too scary of a place. My mother thrives on it. She calls me with fear in her voice to see if I got my test results back. You can hear her wringing her hands over the phone! BUT, in her case, I am afraid (pun yes), it is so she can move in and take control my life. Kind of like a snake whispering fearful things in your ear while they are secretly salivating (several Disney movies). I think it is why I read so much and am determined to educate myself. It seems this kind of fear thrives in ignorance.
