Obama versus Ahmadinejad!
Friends, when I reviewed the headlines this morning I saw that Obama had canceled Bush’s European missile program. I felt joy and thought to myself: the Prince of Peace is finally with us. America is being led out of its militaristic, warmongering wilderness and, in time, war will be a distant memory.
Then I began to read the rest of the article. I was soon cast into the depths of depression again.
It seems the original concept of the missile shield was to stop Iran firing intercontinental missiles at Europe and the U.S. Now it really does take a leap of imagination to believe that tiny Iran would fire nuclear missiles at the U.S. and Europe knowing that they possess enough nukes between them to blow up several universes. Even Blind Freddie could see, if it did launch a missile, Iran knows it would cease to exist within a matter of minutes which would make it rather a Pyrrhic victory. Besides, Iran, to my knowledge, has never attacked anyone!
But this is not the rationale which led to the canceling of the missile shield. Oh no! The Obama Administration has finally worked out that Iran has no intercontinental missiles!
But U.S. ‘intelligence’ (remember the Weapons of Mass Destruction that Iraq was supposed to have?) has also worked out that Iran has short range missiles, ones that could reach Israel (and parts of Europe).
Now, as you know, Israel is an even tinier country than Iran, but one that has more than 200 nukes!
So in order to protect nuclear-armed Israel and nuclear-armed Europe from non-nuclear armed Iran, Obama is going to put more anti-missile launching stations in Europe (do the Europeans get any say in this?) and is going to up the number of his warships in the Middle East region, ones capable of launching anti-missile missiles and hitting Iran with nuclear missiles.
Now if I was living in Iran I would be rather concerned about all this. In fact I would be going flat out to get nuclear weapons because it is a simple fact that America never attacks a country that is capable of fighting back or giving as good as it gets (of course it did make a serious miscalculation in Vietnam).
America knows this so it keeps upping the ante and appears to me to be using threats and sanctions to force oil-rich Iran to try to arm itself with nukes before it is bombed out of existence by the warmongering America-Israel alliance. Ironically, if Iran moves along this track then America will have the trigger it needs to open war on another front.
Friends, Obama is a fraud. He too is controlled by the vested interests in America: the corporations, the religious fruitcakes, the Jewish lobby, the armament manufacturers, the career generals, etc.
He too is a warmonger like Bush. He has already increased the number of troops in Afghanistan and left thousands of troops in Iraq.
America is leading the whole world on a path to endless war. And, one day, the nukes will start flying.
When that happens, there will be no winners and our planet will become like the moon: lifeless!
That will be a true Pyrrhic victory! The last one.
Hey Dave, Whatever led you to think that any of this madness would make sense? It seems that the goofier the scenario is the more likely it is to become our todays’ reality.

once folks realize that there is a governing elite who rule the world and that our national ‘governments’ are nothing more than the shills (s)elected to carry out their whims- the world will be a much smoother place. seriously, i bought into the whole system as late as 2006- i held out hope that getting rid of the right wing would alleviate some of the problems we had. well, it is now 2009 and pelosi and reid are more than disappointments- they are the proof in the pudding that we have a puppet government designed to keep the minions believing that we have a democracy. imagine folks thinking america is a democracy when we have one of the biggest military industrial complexes and homeland security complexes on the planet. we lock up more people at home and abroad than almost any other nation in the world. but hey, who am i to say? i am branded crazy here in the states.

Obama is a fraud. That is it. I have been thinking about living where I really belong during these times. I want to be in place in Northern California where the locals already control the area. The Feds can’t penetrate certain areas right now and has been for years. People are peceful, but not fools either. I live surrounded by military culture. We just had the big air show last week at Mather Air Force Base and it sounded like What Iraq and Afghanistan must sound like all the time with fighter jets overhead. I hope Iran can keep its cool and stay strong. Peace on Earth. Good will toward all.

I know what you mean about the jets. During my many trips to Europe, the beauty of many places was destroyed by U.S. fighter jets screaming overhead. They are frightening.
Perhaps North California might be where your zen reaches new heights?

“What kind of a democracy /society is it when it’s legal system it self don’t seems to have the will, nor the money to pursue it’s felonies. ?
Isn’t it obvious that such a system inevitable will ends up with ‘justice’ ONLY for ‘the haves’ !. unlike the ‘have not’s who’s ‘justice’ depends on donation from people willing to offer the cash /pay the price ?

Current Iran hasn’t attacked anybody, but Persia was an Empire once, It’s not the power of the nuclear missile, it is fear of the threat that your foe may have one.

I’d say he is a politician, in a political system the allows lobby and vested interest groups so much power and influence because they have the money and want more. He may have had good intentions upon taking office but power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
A miscalculation like Vietnam you say, sounds like Afghanistan to me.
The number of Americans in Iraq has increased as private mercenaries go in to protect the apparent US military withdrawal.
It’s five minutes to midnight, how many more full moons are we going to see?

Every time America has gone to war since WWII it has attacked small countries. Even then it has not been able to defeat them in many cases.
All it is doing is making enemies that give it an excuse to wage more wars, keep the money flowing to the defense industry and most importantly keeping the average persons mind off the fact that they are being screwed by the rich and powerful on a daily basis.
I continue to be amazed at how stupid so many people are!
They never seem to object to money spent to help the rich, but if the least hint of money for poor or middle class people comes up they are out in force protesting the liberal policies of our facist president.
It is crazy!

Grace you’re right. Obama is a fraud. Because the race card is being played so strongly in America right now I will tell you this: I’m white and I voted for him. I heard him say on the campaign trail that he would end the war in Iraq and repeal the patriot act. Now I see him as a liar and that makes me a racist??
My wake up call came when someone sent me a link to watch the film “The Obama Deception” in March of this year. Being unemployed this year has given me time to research, research and research. Needless to say, my whole world has come unglued and I mostly feel like crying all the time at what I ever believed about my country. I can’t wake up my mom, sister, and three brothers nor can I make much impact on my three adult children or closest friends. I feel the urge to leave the sub division where I live and get outside the city limits but I don’t know where to go. I know I’m depressed but I won’t go to the Dr to get medicated for it because I believe it’s important to feel what needs to be felt and then move on to a higher level of knowing. I ask for clarity every day and night but so far I don’t know what my next move should be or why I am here on Earth. I know we’re all supposed to be here to help each other but I don’t know what gifts or talents I might have.

Gosh Kathy, you said a mouth full! : ). One of the questions I get repeatedly asked by medical professionals is , “Are you depressed?” I always tell them, basically, ‘that I don’t go to sleep depressed, or wake up depressed, BUT throughout my day, depressing THINGS HAPPEN, and I do the best I can to deal with them.’ I held out for many years and did not take anything. I did take one for a few months; it helped at first, but then I felt I lost “me.” However, drugs or no, it is important to discover if your body is getting all the subtle and obvious nutrients that it needs. DHA fish oils help temendously for nervous sstem and all around beauty. As does high grade spirulina, or some other kind og nutrient dense supergreen food. It feeds your cells. Connects you to all the important universal elements and makes you more calm and able to be present. Filling ones mind with hopeful yet realistic information. For example Eckhart Tolle’s bools or Tibetan Buddhist mediation techniques and techniques to be aware of your own mind. It is fascinating. Forgive me for going on like this. The best part is that it is all inside of you. You don’t need anyones else’s approval or need for them to be enlightened too, though that would be nice. The more I have been calm and happy, the more people have been notiicing me. At that point maybe we help more people than we know. Peace.

Thanks Grace. It’s funny the things you mentioned that can help. I still have plenty of fish oil capsules and I need to start taking them again. I’ll need to buy some green drink mix. I’m all out and have been for about three years. I have many of Deepak Chopra’s books and two of Eckhart’s. I was working on raising my spiritual awareness for years starting when my daughter got very sick 9 years ago. She and I would listen to a Deepak CD that I bought (chanting) lol.
You see, I was swayed toward researching medical information, spiritual healing and self healing. I wasn’t paying ANY attention to the government stuff. As I understand it now, our Constitutional Republic could have only worked if we citizens had stayed alert and active. We didn’t. I feel ashamed over that. I’ve been writing my congresswoman and two senators this summer. Congresswoman writes back and so does one senator. It doesn’t seem to help anything that’s going on though. And how could it if they are only puppets?
Anyway, I go on too long when I find a blog that’s so awake. Forgive me for that. I want to be uplifting so bear with me as I go through my changes. I know there could be great and postive power in humans if we could only throw off the blind folds and the brainwashing. I want my fellow Americans to do that not only because we need to wake up and get it right, but also I want the world to know that we Americans aren’t all bad, we’re just desperately brainwashed. peace and love right back to ya!

I feel I came up in a cynical time. The 80′s were hopeless. Today’s children’s cartoons are shockingly sarcastic. Kids say smarmy things left and right. That is why we cancelled our $70 monthlyUSD tv cable. This way we have as much control of what is on as a parent can have. We love Mickey Mouse and the house of mouse, BUT the rest of itis pure poison for kids, imo.
The best we can do is live our beliefs, yada yad. All is well and good in a peaceful functioning democracy. For sure, while ‘searching for ourselves in 80′s & 90′s, and then cashing out on house equity and consuming like never before, in reality it was more like that cartoon of ‘turn around and kiss your arse goodbye’ we missed the forest for the trees. We were effectively duped. Like a magician’s show. We watched one hand while the other did dastardly deeds. We got blue sky initiatives that put more toxins in our air than ever. No child left behind education with the highest dropout/ prison population on the planet. We spread democracy with DU plated bullets and the dust of war. It is deep. I can be aware of the ugly truth. I try to process the information through who I know my true self to be and somehow find a way to be a part of healing in the midst of sure doom. Peace and love too.
