Yom Kippur is the Jewish Day of Atonement. It is good that the Jews celebrate this day because they have much to atone for.

For example, the photograph above shows a Palestinian child from Gaza. You’ll remember the Jewish onslaught on Gaza which killed 1,400 people, most of them civilians. More than 400 of them were children. This girl was lucky. She is still alive.

Of course, it’s not only the Gaza genocide which the Jews need to atone for. What about their sixty years of occupation, the stealing of Palestinian land, the building of settlements, the calculated brutality, humiliation and restrictions on movement, the building of concrete walls and Jew-only roads, the evictions of Palestinians in East Jerusalem?

Why are there so few like him?

Why is ignorance and apathy so widespread?

“WE LOVE WAR!”

The three important men shown in this G20 photograph are stooges of a small racist nation whose name begins with ‘I’. These stooges are heaping censure and threats of war upon a small Muslim nation whose name also begins with ‘I’.

They are claiming that the latter nation failed to reveal the existence of a nuclear plant when anyone with half a brain knows that no nation can do anything without it being seen by spy satellites which are as numerous as the stars.

They are beating war drums in part because all of them are leaders of countries which are major arms manufacturers so the more wars they engage in, the better it is for their economies.

And, of course, it is common knowledge that the country they are threatening has a huge amount of oil which would make it a valuable prize should it be taken over.

The three important men are stooges of a small, racist nation that has an enormous amount of power. This power comes via a close knit Jewish network which controls much of the world media, which controls vast money reserves, and which has infiltrated many Western Governments including America’s.

This small racist nation wants the other small Muslim nation to be taken out, to be destroyed, because it fears its own military dominance and expansion in the region might be threatened one day. It is willing to attack it itself but it prefers to be joined by others to try to give itself some legitimacy.

There are three leaders shown in this photograph: Netanyahu, Obama and Abbas.

Only two of them are grinning. Which one is the loser?

But one of the grinners is a loser too despite the big smile! Though powerful,

all his demands were completely ignored.

The real winner is a hawk, one with infinite

cunning, one who wields disproportionate power.

The arrangement of the flags gives a clue as to who it is.

(Hint: The Star of David is flanked on both sides by the Stars and Stripes).

P.S. Notice that the Palestinian flag is obscured and nondescript, almost unnoticeable.

The human tragedy in the West Bank and Gaza goes on and on…

Much ado about nothing?

Friends, many interesting things have occurred at the U.N. these past days. Two things for me have stood out:

- one is the statement that, according to Obama, the U.S. should not be left to solve the world’s problems alone and,

- the demand by Netanyahu that “…Western states stand up to what he called the Iranian government’s “religious fanaticism.”

Taking Obama’s statement first, I had the funny idea that a nation that has military bases all over the world probably is not so much trying to solve the world’s problems but has other things on its agenda.

Call me silly, but I thought that most people realized that America is heavily into imperialism via invasions and occupations, especially of countries that have oil. I think that Iraq shows that. I think that the invasion of Afghanistan had much to do with gaining access to oil and gas from the Baltic states.

I think that most people realize that America has not been called on to solve problems but, since Vietnam, has unilaterally used its military might to shape the world according to its own self-interest both political and economic.

To portray America as the poor nation that has been solving the world’s problems on its own is a complete fabrication and the reality is that it has caused more problems than it has solved. That said, Obama’s push for involvement with other nations is welcome but the proof of this intention will be found in the pudding.

Now to Netanyahu’s comment: it’s truly breathtaking.

Out of sight, out of mind!

Friends, this week, in New York, there is much happening in the affairs of men. We have meetings in the U.N., and the G20 is meeting to discuss climate change and the financial crisis and regulation, and Obama, Netanyahu and Abbas are meeting on the side supposedly to discuss the Palestinian issue, etc.

The media is in a state of frenzy and journalists are trying to get interviews with the big players and newspaper editors are looking for the big headlines. Meanwhile the meeting participants are dressed in expensive suits and dresses and they are exhilarated and looking to advance their own agendas and perhaps those of their country and/or the corporations whose donations they rely on. They are worried about who they’ll sit next to, who will snub them, who they should talk to, who they should smile at, what promises they might make, who they should invite to visit, etc.

Decisions taken in N.Y. could influence whether existing wars will be expanded or new wars will be initiated or whether climate change will be seriously addressed or whether the big oil and coal companies will continue to pollute the world’s atmosphere and cause serious weather events such as floods and droughts or whether more corporations and banks will go bankrupt.

And all over the world billions of people will read newspapers or watch television, their eyes enlarged, their hearts beating faster because they know that during these meetings in New York, the direction the world will take over the following months will be decided and this could have an influence on their jobs and their assets and their families and their childrens’ futures.

Friends, Al Jazeera has an interesting opinion piece (Fear in America) which I would recommend that you all read (see site link under ‘News Links’ in sidebar). It was written by Rob Reynolds, a senior Washington correspondent for Al Jazeera.

I’ve taken the liberty of including a few quotes from the worrying article. Hopefully they will whet your appetite to read the whole post:

Obama versus Ahmadinejad!

Friends, when I reviewed the headlines this morning I saw that Obama had canceled Bush’s European missile program. I felt joy and thought to myself: the Prince of Peace is finally with us. America is being led out of its militaristic, warmongering wilderness and, in time, war will be a distant memory.

Then I began to read the rest of the article. I was soon cast into the depths of depression again.

It seems the original concept of the missile shield was to stop Iran firing intercontinental missiles at Europe and the U.S. Now it really does take a leap of imagination to believe that tiny Iran would fire nuclear missiles at the U.S. and Europe knowing that they possess enough nukes between them to blow up several universes. Even Blind Freddie could see, if it did launch a missile, Iran knows it would cease to exist within a matter of minutes which would make it rather a Pyrrhic victory. Besides, Iran, to my knowledge, has never attacked anyone!

But this is not the rationale which led to the canceling of the missile shield. Oh no! The Obama Administration has finally worked out that Iran has no intercontinental missiles!

But U.S. ‘intelligence’ (remember the Weapons of Mass Destruction that Iraq was supposed to have?) has also worked out that Iran has short range missiles, ones that could reach Israel (and parts of Europe).

Now, as you know, Israel is an even tinier country than Iran, but one that has more than 200 nukes!

He forcefully insulted its Commander in Chief.
