Will this be your final moment?
Friends, early this morning the Federal Police, the Victorian Police, the NSW Police, ASIO, etc, were involved in raids on a large number of homes in Victoria. Their target was some Lebanese and Somali folk who were Australian citizens. At this early stage, four people have been arrested though more are being questioned.
These citizens were apparently involved in a plan to raid an Australian Army Base and to kill as many soldiers as possible before they committed suicide. The reason? To avenge Muslims killed by Australian troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Of course, some terrorists are already in jail for for planning other attacks. It is just a matter of time before a terrorist attack is successful and many Australians are killed. When that happens there will be a lot of hand wringing and there may even be some soul searching but it will be too late.
The folly of Australia blindly following American warmongering has again been highlighted. Australian politicians seem to think that supporting America will make us safe when the truth is that it puts us in increasing danger. Our politicians, like those in America, think that killing peopleĀ solves problems, that it brings peace. An honest look at Iraq today shows what really happens when war occurs.
War creates hatred and hatred fosters a need for revenge. Look at the West Bank and Gaza. What has Israel achieved for its sixty years of brutal occupation and genocide? It is hated by every Palestinian and despised by all of its Arab neighbours. What has America achieved for its attacks on Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan besides a boost to its war-based manufacturing industries? It too is hated and despised.
And now Australia, that sunny land of the fair-go, is hated as well. There are people in the world that want to kill us, blow us up, mow us down with automatic weapons. This is despite the fact that most Australians have made it clear that we don’t want to be involved in America’s wars and imperialism. But our elected representatives don’t care what we want or that Australians are being killed in faraway places for no good reason.
You can’t defeat terrorism by killing. You do it by feeding the starving, by lifting them out of poverty, by educating them, by stopping them being dispossessed of their land, by ceasing the pillaging of their resources and the exploitation of their labor. And of course the ability of religious extremists of any colour (Christian, Muslim, Judaic, etc) to poison and manipulate the minds of people must be strongly curtailed.
Yes, Australia has had another close shave. But soon enough, our chickens will come home to roost and we will pay dearly for the stupidity and toadying of our politicians.
Thanks to America and Israel and the countries that support them, we are all potential victims of terrorism. And both countries look as if they wont stop invading other countries in the near future.
Democracy is the most overrated term in politics; once politicians have the money and power they pretty much ignore the interests of the citizens. And everyone who goes to school is taught that democracy is the best system that ensures fairness in this society.

Irfaan, sadly what you say is true. Neither country will stop invading and occupying thereby creating hatred and the desire for revenge.
What citizens don’t realize is that politicians have become a law unto themselves. The only time they really think citizens are important is around election time and then they wheel out bribes and fear in equal proportions!

So true. If democracies are to work, citizens have to be held accountable. There are always third party candidates, or write-ins. If voters give into fear or bribes, then the security they gain will come back to bite them, with militarization of their police. Do not trust centralized big government!
Even the supposed terrorist plan in Australia may have been arranged by its own ‘security’ ‘intelligence’ forces, as are many, if not MOST of those in the USA, using patsies, impoverished and/or mentally challenged minorities. Hopefully the zionist-occupied press and government of Australia will tell the truth about these terrorist suspects, or some investigative journalist will do so over the internet. Good luck, Australia.

A lot of “terrorist” attacks turn out to be the “security forces” of the involved countries.
They operate by a “strategy of tension” to terrorize the domestic population into accepting repression.
In the US, many times these “terrorist plots” turn out to be FBI sting operations, in which angry people are led into planning attacks that they never would have on their own.
I would take this with a grain of salt until you find out more.
Look at 9-11 as the supreme example of the shadow government terrorizing a people into barbarism, helped along, of course, by the corporate media campaign of convincing us that we were “all” deeply traumatized by 9-11. Except that when you ask people if they were personally afraid on the actual day, before the propaganda kicked into high gear, they usually say “no”.

The truth about 9/11 is not that being disseminated by the zionist occupied government of the United States of Israel.

My friend… there is more than meets the eye here. Yes you are correct, America’s warmongering is like a junky on crack cocaine… just can’t wait for the next fix (war). But, what we are witnessing is the “power elite” attempting to subjugate all the resources on the face of the planet and they are not just American but Australian, European and anyone else who is willing to serve the higher purpose… Israel. It is one step in a long line to arrive at total control for the New World Order. It IS happening and we are nearer than most think, i.e. we are being conditioned to accept outrageous changes that have a direct impact on our liberties and those that do not meet the minimum requirements are subject to inhumane horrors.

I agree, LT.

Therese and Wagelaborer, I trust no government. They are made up of opportunists and self-seekers who, in the main, are trying to feather their own nests while stroking their own egos.
As in America, our government knows the value of using fear to bring the electorate to heel. And, as in America, they subscribe to the ridiculous notion that war and killing solves all problems.
Cheers.

LT, your sentence ‘we are being conditioned to accept outrageous changes that have a direct impact on our liberties and those that do not meet the minimum requirements are subject to inhumane horrors’, has a strong element of truth.
There is a battle going on for control of the world, one that the masses do not know about. 1984 might already be here!

Yes… there are rumors and rumors of rumors in the US that there will soon be American soldiers patrolling the streets of America. THAT notion on its own should scare the crap out people and start to wake them up BUT, it is too much to ask… the light is on but there’s no one home. I hear many say “American soldiers would never fire on Americans”. My response to that moronic statement… does the American police fire on Americans?

Therese wrote ‘If democracies are to work, citizens have to be held accountable”, isn’t that what the terrorists are trying to do (not in this case but numerous others), punish the civilians who voted these corporate politicians into power to force change from the ground up. And besides revenge may also be for all of their civilians our proud, arrogant military have killed or maimed. Idea’s, ideologies are bullet and bomb proof, as long as some one thinks of a particular ideology and teaches others it will exists and no weapons will defeat it.

Citizens have to be held accountable to think and work hard to assure that their government is honest, but such responsibility does not entitle other countries’ militaries the right to slaughter the citizens of countries whose leaders such other countries do not approve of. I mean, Kemosabi, what is the matter with you? International laws forbid such mayhem and murder, such massacres.

LT, we have been conditioned to think that our soldiers are the ‘good guys’ and not trained killers who governments use to advance their self-serving agenda.
Kemosobi, the point you make about ideologies being bomb and bullet-proof is right on the money. How come politicians can’t see that?
