Home, sweet hom…gone!
Friends, imagine if you can how it might feel if, one morning, there was a knock on your door. When you opened it uniformed police stood there and they came in and told you that you were being evicted. Then, despite your protests, they dragged you and your crying family outside where you were forcibly restrained.
Then a gang of men appeared and piece by piece, they removed every loved item from your home and roughly stacked it in the street. Then, once it was empty, either your home was demolished before your eyes or, worse still, settlers appeared and began moving their belongings into your house, one that you owned and had title to, one that might have been in your family for generations.
Then a truck arrived and your belongings were loaded onto it. No care was taken. Then you and your hysterical family were taken a few kilometres away and deposited by the side of a road. Imagine standing there, your home gone, your life shattered, your children weeping and nowhere to go.
Friends, what I saw this morning on the CNN news was the eviction routine that involved owners out, settlers in, and the dumping of the family and furniture alongside a road. It was horrible to watch, frightening even.
It happened in Jerusalem where the Israelis are carrying out forcible evictions and immediately filling the Palestinian’s houses with Jewish settlers. The purpose of this is to change the racial composition of East Jerusalem, to make it appear that only Jews live there. This, the Israelis believe, will make their claim for all of Jerusalem as their capital more legal.
Israelis are engaging in the grossest of illegality to feather their own nests and expand their planned empire. Of course, what is happening in Jerusalem is also happening in the West Bank (and has been for sixty years) as existing settlements are expanded illegally taking more and more Palestinian land.
Surely the actions of Israel demonstrate that it is one of the most brutal and cruel nations on earth. And it also shows how disgusting are those nations which support it, nations like Australia, Britain, the U.S., etc.
Israel is an experiment that went badly wrong. It has invalidated its right to exist a thousand times over!
Israel must be evicted from the Palestinian Territories!
Hallelujah!
Israel clearly is an experiment gone wrong and is indeed one of the most brutal and cruel nations on earth.
They must be confronted and, they must be stopped.
STOP ALL US AID TO ISRAEL NOW!
See how they manage without the billions of US dollars in aid given to them by their ‘allies’ in the US.

Charles, ‘By their works ye shall know them’ is a biblical saying that applies perfectly to the Israelis. The Israelis demonstrate what happens when religious fanaticism rules people’s minds.

Imagine that native Americans find China to be a very close, supportive ally. Now let’s say that they claim the US back. They are entitled to the land of their ancestors, so they evacuate the suburbs and put all non-natives in refugee camps until the refugees will be exported to their original continents. Priceless the state of shock of US citizens when their farms will be repossessed and the native goon squads will knock on ramblers to evict the inhabitants. They’d still support the Jewish rights to return to their “homeland” I’m afraid as the brainwashing was too successful! Maybe one of these days some “crazy Indian” will caterpillar your sweet home…watch out bubba! Resistance will turn you into a Palestinian terrorist – give up your house with swimming pool:)

Thought about this a little more. All Christian Zionists should also move to Israel (oops , wonder how Christians would fare in that religious country? Would they really take self-proclaimed vice-president Biden?). Anyhow, Australians might need to return the land to the aborigines – back to England, HongKong, Aussies? Consider that all these natives lost their land about 500 years ago whereas the Jews were gone for about 2,000 years. If I’m to believe scientists, original Jewish population probably still lives in Palestine (as Muslims and Christians) whereas the new Jews are genetically North Africans and Kasars but who cares – just proclaim that your ancestors had that land in the past. Hell, some Italians might claim England up to the Hadrian wall or part of Germany. Be creative! Support the zionists! Back to the homeland! Natives unite!

I agree, Margit. Just where does the ‘Jewish logic’ end.
I could lay claim to a nice section of Britain and say that my ancestors once lived there and I demand the right of return and possession of the land and to hell with those who are living there now. It is nonsensical.
We can’t undo past injustices. All we can do is to try to make the present better for everyone by stamping out imperialism, greed and warmongering.

I agree David. We cant undo past injustices. We should just live side by side with each other in harmony and in peace whether we are natives, blacks, white, immigrants etc. Who is to say that we own and control certain lands? The most obvious violation to this is Israel. They wont stop the ethic cleansing of Palestinians out of their lands. At least here in Canada and probably in other countries, the native aboriginals still have full rights and freedoms unlike the Palestinians who are being treated like dirt.

Israel, a/k/a Rothschildstan, must own the UN, as well as the USA.

Irfaan, undoing past injustices is like trying to unscramble eggs! Say sorry and move on is the only real option.
Therese, Israel is a victim of its own religious derangement. This does not excuse it but it does help to explain its bizarre, immoral behaviour.

Most of the Israelis are what is called secular Jews (hee, hee). The joke is on the Western World, which supports them.

This latest eviction of Palestinians – at a time when the US has officially put the word on Israel over settlement creep – seems to me a deliberate show of power by the Israelis. They are giving the world the finger. It’s tragic and disgusting. Thanks for covering the story.
Re Israel’s legitimacy, people such as Doc Evatt are often mentioned in Australia as traditional supporters of Israel from back in our past.
Evatt helped steer approval for the Jewish State through the UN in its early days. But conveniently forgotten is the fact that Curtin always assumed Jerusalem would be an international city under UN control. He never imagined it would all become part of Israel. If people like Evatt had ever realized how much they were being conned at the time, would they still have supported establishing the State of Israel? I doubt it (although it’s also possible Evatt was fully bought and paid-for).
Israel keeps moving the goalposts, outwards ever outwards. If it ever took over the whole planet, it’d fret about the threat from Mars. It’s a State of perpetual paranoia and war. Time it comes to an end and people get back to normal life.

Problem is, Syd, that Israel is driven by a religious fanaticism similar to that found in some Muslim Fundamentalist countries (like Iran) and in some Christian Fundamentalist countries (like America). It’s a bad mix!
That Australia blindly supports Israel is regrettable especially as Australia is supposed to believe in the fair-go – but not for the Palestinians.

Thanks to Syd Walker for telling the truth about the complicity of Australia in getting the rogue state of Israel recognized by the UN. Australia today is no more pure than is the USA.

I don’t know about just moving on, especially when the injustice continues.
In America, Native Americans have a poor standard of living and low life expectancy. The descendants of the slaves also are poorer, live shorter lives and are locked up in prisons at a disproportionate rate.
Something must be done to rectify previous wrongs.

The earlier wrongs done by the colonial armed forces and other police of the USA do continue, and very soon will be used by the zionist bankers against the rest of the USA, taking us into a third world status which has lost its industrial and engineering bases, and is inhabitated predominantly by farmers, truck drivers, and government workers. Orwell I am told predicted that the future would be a human face with a black boot on it., unless our men regain the will to be virtuous and strong for themselves, their women and children, and FIGHT BACK.

As long as religions turn men into weak sinners who are only good for tithing, few men will stand up and truly be men.

On that note, I was reading Eckart Tolle; A New Earth: Awakening to your life’s purpose. In it he explains the definition of sin. “Literally translated from the ancient Greek, sin means to “miss the mark”, as an archer who misses the target,
so to sin means to miss the point of human existence.
It means to live unskillfully, blindly, and thus to suffer and cause suffering. The term, tripped of its cultural intention and misinterpretations points to the dysfunction inherent in the human condition.”
Therese, given Australia’s colonial history it, like America, cannot claim to be pure.
Wagelaborer, by moving on I did not mean that injustices should remain. The words on my masthead clearly indicate that. We do need to address current issues and resolve them in a way that encourages reconciliation rather then entrenching divisions.

Grace, dysfunction in the human condition indeed! We are the most dysfunctional specie on earth.
