Where Do You Fit In The Queue?

Friends, above is an image of some world leaders who are attending the G8 summit in Italy.
They all look responsible, sincere, statesperson-like. But are they? What the photograph doesn’t show is that behind each one of them there stretches out a long queue. A very long queue.
The queue is made up of many groups, specifically lobby groups. What kind of groups you ask? Well, there is the corporate group who provide donations to political parties or to leaders in exchange for favourable treatment. Then there are military lobbies made up of people in uniforms who want to see the army expanded so they can get more promotions. Close behind them are the armament manufacturers who supply the guns and munitions that fuel the wars.
Then there are the banks and finance companies and hedge funds that some say control the world. Next to them are wealthy dynasties like the Rothchilds who have their fingers in many pies. Then we have the religious lobbies who seek preferential tax treatment and the opportunity to push their various frauds. Some even demand the start of nuclear war so they can fulfill their fantasies.
The mining lobbies are there seeking to continue mining coal and petroleum even though there is global warming. Then there are the medical and dental lobbies and their friends, the pharmaceutical manufacturers. By now the queue is getting very long.
Then we have the farm lobbies and the legal lobbies and the educational lobbies and the unions and the insurance companies and the exporters and importers and the retail industries and the tourist organizations and the motoring groups and automobile manufacturers, etc, etc. By now the queue is so long that its end can’t be seen even with binoculars!
And where are you? You are on the end of the queue of course. Your importance is only evident when there is an election. Then, for a few weeks, you will move up the queue a little, be subjected to bribes, threats, fear, promises, pork-barreling, bread and circuses, vote rigging, endless advertisements, etc.
Once the election is over you will return to the end of the queue and you will be forgotten by the leaders who will get on with their personal ego-trip while they enjoy the benefits and pleasures that lobby groups offer them.
That is the sad reality of our world.
Then it always has been!
P.S. Given that there are 6.5 billion of us ‘little people’, we could, if we combined forces, push the clamoring lobbyists out of the road! Just a thought.

Well Said, David!! Well Said…
Life has sure gotten very complicated with all these queues. None of this was evident when humanity first existed on earth. Life was very peaceful and simple back then.
Its very unfortunate that many of the 6.5 billion people adhere to the propaganda made by the media and are reluctant to find out the truth! And yes, if they find out the truth, then heck yeah, we can start a revolution.

What it will take to stir the people into a revolution is unknown to me, Irfaan. Obviously it has to be something pretty dramatic: like closing down American Idol or Fox News!
Our Prime Minister, Elmer Fudd…sorry Kevin Rudd is to visit the Vatican to ask that an Australian nun who died some time ago be made a Saint. Now that really does show how lobby groups manipulate politicians.

Thank you for a great article! It’s a world wide problem as you pointed out. Teaching critical thinking might help?
Very depressing, however, very realistic. One of the richest women of Germany entertains the Catholic clergy in her palace (larger than Buckingham palace) in Regensburg. Yes, the Ratzinger Regensburg (present pope). Very, very, very disgusting!

At least a few people can see that they are stuck at the end of the line. Too many either can’t or won’t see the truth. They still think that if you vote in the right politian everything will be just fine.
The truth is right in front of them. Obama was supposed to be change instead he is just more of the same.
If things finally, make that when things finally get bad enough, something will be done to change things, but will that change be good or bad?
All I am sure of is that the future is going to be a very scary place to be.

Margit, we will never get religion out of our lives while politicians behave like surrogate clerics!
Jeannie, the sad part is that future history could be anything that we, the people, want. We just have to destroy the notion that we should be led by significant others!

All ten of them are just well paid puppets, with more wealth and power to look forward to.
