Friends, imagine my fear this morning when headlines suggested that Al Qaeda would nuke the U.S. I mean, it’s almost enough to put me off breakfast!
Al-Qaeda’s third-in-command told Al Jazeera that the group would use Pakistan’s nuclear weapons against the US if it gained access to them. “By God’s will, the Americans will not seize the Muslims’ nuclear weapons and we pray that the Muslims will have these weapons and they will be used against the Americans,” Mustafa Abul-Yazeed, al-Qaeda’s leader in Afghanistan, said in an exclusive interview that aired on Sunday.
Now, after I spent some thirty minutes under my bed shaking mightily, finally sanity prevailed and, rather dusty, I emerged with the thought in my mind that even if Al Qaeda got hold of the weapons they had one small problem: as they have no air force (not even a Tiger Moth), how would they drop the bombs on us infidels?
For a period of time, my fear dissolved and I even laughed. Then the thought occurred to me that Al Qaeda with their profoundly evil minds might turn to their camels for assistance. But how? A terrible thought entered my mind. What if they filled the twin humps of their camels with helium. Wouldn’t they just float upwards? And if they attached a nuke to a squadron of air-borne camels and released them in a favorable easterly air current, they could float across Asia and eventually end up in the skies over Okinawa or the U.S.
And then, the Americans with their sophisticated anti-missile missiles would send up a rocket to turn the high-flying Muslim camels into hamburger mince and then the nuke would explode…KKKKKAAABOOOM!
Somehow I managed to get my computer under the bed and I’m there now, typing the rest of this post though my fingers are shaking so much I can barely type.

Pakistan has missiles David, Intercontinetal Ballistic Missiles with nuclear capabilities. If they had brains AQ would force the missile tech to fire them, no need for camels. But they have to fight through the gates and the yanks and even the Pakistanians would not let the terrorists get the missiles or bombs. The bomb/missile sights are heavily guarded, the yanks know where they are and would use a massive bombardment to bury them or destroy those whom are at the gate trying to fight for access to the weapons. Don’t be afraid mate, fox news doesn’t know what it’s talking about and is just trying to maintain a maximum fear level in American society for the Republican party. As we know the republicans love to scare people (and blow them up), even their own (911).

I’m waiting now for a knock on the door and a thickset Federal policeman standing there telling me I’m under arrest for giving Australia’s enemies ideas which put our nation at risk.
I can’t help it if I have a fertile imagination.

As regard to Obama, compared to Hitler (nazi/facist), both exceptional orators I’m not the least worried to where Obama will lead his (sheeples) people. Why not. ?. For me, first and foremost because, Obama is not a racist, (at least not to my knowledge) and that’s the crucial difference. ( Hitler was without any doubt, a RACIST.)
We can have a wide and long discussion, and certainly there is, the definition of a racist. To me, in short, it’s a person who believe/perceive himself better/superior to all other humanbeings, and this attitude shows it’s ugly face here there and everywhere.
For the time being the western racism-tendency is on the increase (e.g. in Denmark by the Danish People Parti (13%) and in other EU countries )and showing it’s ugly face against the muslim/islamic world and especially nn the last forty days against the Iranian people. In that respect Mahmoud Ahmedinejad isn’t either a racist. (as far as I can see).
Anyway, what’s all about, in a bigger picture is, the rich / wealthy countries conceit themself superior to the poor dtto’s, and that is RACISM in ti self. So, the slang should be “Down with the rich people/countries”.because, if they aren’t already, they will become, racists, and racism is intolerable.

maybe you haven’t read the latest news about swallows dubya, but the birds (indigenous and migratory) are suffering from the new world catastrophe called global warming/climate change which is fast becoming a devastating influence on our featherd friends. and therfore, the evil doers will be hard pushed to reach their designated target accurately……………
but then in a kinder world where there is no greed and selfishness the birds would be free to fly wherever they wanted, unhindered by the evil doing of mankind…………….

What a great piece of gallows humor, David! Thanks a lot.
Just read through the responses and got the feeling that your wonderful parody didn’t really make it to the people. Never mind. I think you are one of the few people on earth who would (and maybe did) watch Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” ( a parody on the Life of Jesus) and laugh from beginning to end.
“Always think of the bright side of life…..”
In times of total global madness humor is one of the important survival kits…..like a little island you can escape to for a few moments of rest….I think.
