Entertainment Israeli-style: watching Gaza burn.
According to Al Jazeera today, the U.N. has issued a report on the Gaza genocide, the one carried out by the IDF acting under instructions from the Israeli Government. The U.N. lists the following clearly marked U.N. facilities which were attacked and destroyed:
- 37 schools.
- 6 medical centres.
- 2 warehouses.
- a fuel and aid depot.
The U.N. Report went on to accuse the Israeli army of “varying degrees of negligence or recklessness with regard to United Nations premises and to the safety of UN staff and other civilians within those premises, with consequent deaths, injuries and extensive physical damage and loss of property.”
The Israeli government, through their spokesperson Mark Rugrat, issued the following response:
1. The 37 schools were actually Hamas terrorist training centres. Hamas trains school children to kill us with stones then, later, with homemade rockets and so the bombing was a legitimate preventative measure!
2. The 6 medical centres were disguised as aircraft carriers. Our brave pilots, with no heed to the danger these facilities seemed to present, flew numerous sorties and dropped many American munitions on them until finally they sank. Several pilots who flew through the heavy anti-aircraft fire which Hamas threw up at us (using rifles) were given bravery medals.
3. The 2 U.N. warehouses were hit when Hamas used a very large magnet to pull our bombs off course. We intended to bomb huge Hamas bunkers but our bombs ended up two kilometres away and we can’t be blamed for this.
4. We accidentally used some phosphorous bombs which were wrongly identified. They had PHB on them which owing to an Administrative error was interpreted as Perfectly Harmless Bomb. This error has been rectified and the IDF continues to be the most moral army in the world as well as the forth strongest.
5. The fuel and aid depot destruction was caused by Palestinian terrorists who, though desperately short of fuel and food, decided to attack the depot and blame the whole thing on us so our good name would be damaged. It is typical of scurrilous, underhand Hamas tactics and helps to explain why so many IDF fighters (9) were killed during the Gaza operation which seriously threatened Israel’s very survival.
6. The widespread damage to Gaza and the death of many Palestinians (1,400) occurred because of poor Gaza building standards. Buildings just fell down on the inhabitants (who we had boxed in for their protection) and this reality can’t fairly be blamed on us.
We would suggest that, in the future, the Palestinians rebuild their infrastructure underground with mudbricks because we’re not letting any concrete or steel into Gaza in case more homemade rockets are made (the ones that have caused unbelievable death and destruction in Israel).
UPDATE – 7/5/09. Peres has rejected the U.N. Report on Gaza claiming it is biased! Where have I heard that before?

How do human beings became so callous that they can watch the destruction and death of other human beings and feel nothing but pleasure?
Does it have something to do with religion? The men seem to be dressed as Ultra-orthodox Jews.
The reason I mention this is that I just read that among white americans 60% of religious americans support torture while 40% of non-religious americans do.
That does not seem to say anything much good about religion.
It doesn’t say much good about americans period.
I wonder what percentage of the people in other countries support torture.

Will the above horror story change under King O?
“Obama specifically rejects restoring the barrier between investment banking and commercial banking put in place by the 1933 Glass-Steagall Act,”
“The president returns to this theme in his interview, making clear that the days of “middle-class” wages for less-skilled and manufacturing workers are gone for good.”
“This is particularly needed, he says, “when it comes to Medicare and Medicaid, where the taxpayers are footing the bill and we have an obligation to get those costs under control.”
What about the trillion a year for useless military.
“This from a president who presides over a country where the richest 1 percent control more than 40 percent of the wealth, where CEOs routinely award themselves tens of millions of dollars a year, and where his administration is handing out trillions of dollars in taxpayer funds to Wall Street.”
Folks, this reads like a satire, parody.

“Are people in europe more humane?”
As you ask this question Jeannie, if any (here), I, as a Dane living in EU, should be the one, able to give an answer to this question, be it yes, or be it no. No matter what i choose, as an answer, it would probably be wrong.
I don’t think there is a true answer – EXACTLY like no one should characterize/generallize a group of people, e.g. (muslims), to be more or less violent than other groups (e.g.The JyllandPostens(newspaper) publications of cartoons depicting Muhammad with a bomb in his turban.) Those nasty cartoons had nothing to do with ‘the right to freedom of speech’ but to denigrate the Islamic world.
I basically think, that human beings have all the specters, from good to evil, inherent in it self. and it is completely depending on the behavior of the outside world to what response you’ll get in return.

John LJ, don’t you feel that your position is internally contradictory? Either you believe that satire is a legitimate way of disagreement with someone’s position — but then the Danish cartoons are OK. Or you believe that satire is not acceptable — but then you cannot praise David for his Photoshop creation depicting religious Jews on the background of billowing smoke.
You cannot have it both ways, sorry. Your desire to have it both ways just shows that you have an anti-Israeli bias. It is that simple.

Let me say, Jake, that I have never in my life photoshopped anything on my blog. That part of computers is beyond my technical capabilities. Let me say also that you have a clear pro-Israeli bias!
John, your last sentence accords with my view of human beings.
Speaking generally, so many Americans don’t understand what satire is. Obviously it’s not something that is taught in most schools. If I’m going to indulge in a bit of sharp satire to send up the devious way Israel tries to justify its war crimes I can’t give warning otherwise it looses its impact!
Thanks for the great comments!

It has been reported that the IDF is the most moral army in the world.
As with all moral armies, they only kill properly dressed military personnel.
The most moral army in the world insists on only targetting specific traditional sites; such as, munition factories, ammo transports, tanks, warplanes, helicopters, drones, warships, and military training facilities.
The most moral army in the world encourages it’s opponents to wave white flags to surrender, which of course is internationally recognized and grants such wavers safety, medical aid and humanitary aid such as Geneva Conventions proscribe.
The most moral army in the world exhausts all viable diplomatic avenues before resorting to military plans.
All military plans must pass the scrutiny of lawyers and ethicists to ensure that no unarmed civilians are put in harm’s way.
The most moral army in the world absolutely forbids the use of human shields.
The most moral army in the world has detention centers to shelter innocent civilians, whether they are men women or children. They have facilities to take care of babies, elderly, handicapped and mentally ill, and provide food as well as medical assistance.
The most moral army in the world provides escorts for Red Crescent Ambulances so that they can do their humanitarian work in safety and that most valued of Israeli goals, security.
The most moral army in the world would never stoop to destroy the personal property of Palestinian civilians, taking care to dispose of their human waste by their vaunted high tech methods, which shows the world the superiority of the zionist brand.
They take care to use no chemical or biological weapons as it would be a crime against zionism to destroy the delicate ecosystem of eretz Israel, even if the less than desirable humans of Palestinian extraction are squatting there.
Of course the most moral army in the world would treat alll prisoners of war with the utmost respect and compassion as their religion instructs them and as their leaders insist upon.
The most moral army in the world allows journalists to ply their trade, with the utmost confidence that the truth is Israel’s friend.
tThe most moral army in the world welcomes UN inspections and gives every assistance to special rapporteurs so that the world can judge for itself how moral and ethical militarized Israel is in the twenty first century.
I’m sure I’ve just scratched the surface of the USA armed and funded state of Israel’s allegiance to morality, ethics and honor. The disproportionate body count would be troubling if the world was unaware of Israel’s commitment to fairness and equality for all of humanity.
That business about being *chosen* is just another antisemitic slur.

Would you assert that the picture on top of this page is a genuine photo? — If yes, would you share its source with us? If not, then it doesn’t matter whether it is your Photoshop work or someone else’s. My reasoning still applies. Actually, it applies regardless of whether that photo is genuine or fake. Remember, I was arguing that one cannot simultaneously accept your anti-Jewish satire and condemn someone’s anti-Jihadist satire. Is the picture above genuine or it isn’t (I truly believe the latter), but your text under it is certainly satire, isn’t it?
As to my pro-Israeli bias, this blog is so heavily anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish, that some messages with pro-Israeli bias are necessary just for the sense of balance

@Jake: Where have you been?
These photos were everywhere in January when the Israeli assault was razing Gaza, you know, sending it back to the days of Samson & Delilah, AlleyOop, Neanderthals & Troglodytes, when the world was young and human sacrifice was demanded by the Lord of Abraham.
So to see these men, dressed in orthodox Jewish garb, relaxing a few miles away from the Gazan carnage really shouldn’t surprise the world’s sensibilities, aren’t most Jewish holidays based on the killing of first born sons, beheading an opponent, mass lemming like suicide?
Throughout history hangings were spectacles where attendance was mandatory, what good is a drawing & quartering if there is no audience? It may disturb you to learn that USAns gathered on hilltops to watch battles during the American Civil War a short 150 or so years ago. The guillotine was public, the burning of witches, putting women in dunking chairs & other poor souls in stocks for humiliation. Part of the punishment was to be on public display as a deterrant to disobedience.
The Israelis are keeping to human tradition, they’ll probably be the first to televise ‘torture games’, we’ve all seen the cell phone video of Saddam’s last minutes.
I can see it now: Ten contestants vie to be Donald Trumps apprentices, except if you lose he doesn’t turn & say to losers ‘you’re fired’ no, he turns and grimaces and says “you’re EXPIRED’!
Every episode, a different, clever way to execute a person is tried; arrow to the heart, bullet to the eye, floor falling away, noose drops from ceiling for lynching, poison dart, et al.
When that gets tiresome maybe the audience will love to see a more lingering end to the ‘loser’. Or maybe someoe (Trump’s son perhaps?) will turn the tables & do in dear old dad when the audience shares plummet?
But back to Jake: yes I’ve seen perhaps a half a dozen photos of groups of Israelis enjoying the 08-09 Gazan Genocide.

And to think that this horrid country has so much power in my country. Senator Durbin, D. Ill., the second most powerful man in the US Senate, boldly stated last week that the banks own Congress. Both parties are controlled by Zionism, especially openly in the White House.
http://www.johnkaminsky.info has great analysis of the problems, all the sorrow, being caused by the jews, who as Mark Twain remarked are so well organized to gain their goals. I really recommend you, David, and all, to read “They Spit on Us” about the very men you show watching the jewish destruction of Gaza, which contains quotes from their Torah.
We really cannot trust our government, and I sometimes think that it must be planting tranquilizers with the flouride in the water, and that is why the people are letting themselves be looted. According to Alex Jones, refering to Bloomberg news, just since Obama took office, $12,000,000,000,000 of the money he gave the bankers have been taken to offshore banks. What this has to do with the jews and Israel, I will ask all to investigate. The year 1913 was the year that gave us the Federal Reserve, IRS, and ADL, and it is no wonder that the bill denying us the right to, what can be defined as, hateful speech, is numbered HB1913.

Your harangue doesn’t prove that the photo above is genuine. It looks like a very low-quality Photoshop job. I am sure you will never find it on the site of any minimally credible news agency, be it Associated Press or whatever. It was disseminated around the Internet by the anti-Semitic rubble, to which you so disgracefully ascribe yourself.
What had been really genuine, was a footage of Palestinians dancing in the streets on the news of 9/11. Remember it, or is your memory selective?
You have every right to criticize Israel. But if you single it out in your criticism — you are a lowly anti-Semite.

You are obviously an Israeli plant. I’ve had many of them on my site over the years. They are always predictable, boring as well (as you would expect from religious fanatics). Folks, this is part of another rant by Jake:
“Then show some damn respect to Israel, which, under mortal danger to its very existence, holds itself to a higher moral standard than the victorious Allies, by sending its 18 year-old boys into the street combat, in order to spare Gazan civilians.”
Now, I don’t want to put any facts in the way of Jake’s pro-Israeli propaganda but the casualty figures which came out of the recent Gaza conflict show that Israel lost 9 soldiers (it killed another four of its own troops) but the Palestinian casualties (which included Hamas Freedom Fighters, civilians and 400 children) were 1,400.
The only way that there could be such a huge imbalance, and given the huge amount of destruction that Gaza suffered, is that Israel shelled and bombed mercilessly in civilian areas from planes, ships, tanks and safe artillery positions. That takes a lot of bravery, doesn’t it?
But according to our Jake, to save killing Palestinian civilians, the IDF sent its troops into street combat. What utter rubbish! Only a person who is deranged could believe this.
I will not allow anyone to flood my blog with such nonsense and will moderate all further comments from Jake.
Should he say something intelligent, I may publish it.

How could I forget? George Negus many summers ago speaking to the police captain responsible for Soweto.
Quote. In your bestest South African accent of course.”You know George we went into Soweto to conduct a murder inquiry 13 people got killed and they call US the murderers.
Israel uses the same shtik.
The picture will soon be one of many that will be put up on the blog, because it’s dollars to doughnuts that the Jews will soon be visiting another country led by another President who is as silly as a wheel Iran.Followed by a real box on in Pakistan and Afghanistan, it is spiralling out of control.

People who were aware of what was going on in Gaza, did not fail to notice the timing and the haste of Israel to not miss one moment of its opportunity. That rare window of time: an outgoing, immoral US P-resident who green lighted the entire mission. US supplied state of the art war toys. Israel pounced on this opportunity and figuring the media would not make a big deal of it , what with a presidential messiah about to be sworn in.. and so it was. The major assault on Gaza ended just in time for the coronation. Carefully, so, no blood on this one who was publicly silent during the massacre of Gazans. The American public, the same ones who vote in droves for their favorite singers, ignored the bloodshed in the Middle East. It seemed like a 90/10 split; 90% of America didn’t want anything to spoil their party – least of which a war that nobody ever solves ( you could pick up a newspaper from any year from my lifetime and the headline for Israel/Palestine relations are always horrid). Versus the 10 % for whom the party was already spoiled. Disappointment out the gate for a man who could have used his political capital for peace. The inauguration day with tears and balloons and all I could feel was nothing.
It is a terrible affliction: the desire to believe. If only I could believe in the goodness of the Obamas, I could have faith that all will be better – as he moves billions offshore..wtf! And tent cities are all the rage across America. What is next- pox encrusted blankets for all the homeless?
And the qustion was: Has Israel been wrongly accused? Of waht? Misusing American taxpayer money? The same America that massacred millions of its own native inhabitants?

Grace you & I may be soul mates. I wanted so desperately to believe that Obama would use his abundance of political capital in a meaningful way, to curb some of Israel’s blatant offenses, but right out of the gate he appointed ardent zionists to crucial positions that signaled; Nothing new here.
Obama had as much political capital and good will as GWBush did after the Twin Towers assault.
Perhaps they both thought it would be everlasting as they each squandered rare opportunities to effect positive new strategies and experts to improve USA’s disasterous Middle East foreign policy, which can be summed up in one short sentence: Israel is the alpha and omega, above all laws, no criticism allowed and the USA gives it all that it wants.
Imho, Israel has been wrongly accused of being democratic.
Israel receives so much criticism from me because it constantly offends my sense of fairness and justice. Because of the Holocaust I mistakenly believed for years that when Jews said “Never Again” that they meant it for all of humanity, but it seems that “Never Again” is reserved for the Jewish people exclusively.

Kate, here too, we agree. this was an additional huge disappointment. (and I didn’t think I could feel disappointment so bad again after the Supreme Court pick of GWBush in 2000. I used to believe America was different because at the root of our system is an unbiased court. Ha! how mistaken to have believed that…). I also used to believe the Jewish people were very special because of all they had gone through, they had an extra humanity. There was a passion and appreciation for life and freedom I admired while growing up in a heavily Jewish area.
I grew up around free thinking, liberal jews in So. Cal. People who were willing to question everything. I know how very evil and wrong it is to lump any group of people together, just as all americans are not guilty for GWBush. But Gee..the Jews of today. I feel very out of touch with how most jews feel about Israel as most of my family has moved on from this world. I know how I feel and am not happy one bit with the whole murderous thug archetype Israel is become, but for most Jews and Israelis I have talked to – at the heart of how they feel about what their leaders do – all is justified.. There is a reason for everything…do not ask questions. Do not pass go. Go directly to jail. Your real estate is owned by the bank. Gee, life is like the game of Monopoly after all. Just a more bloody version. Ciao!
