Too Many Choices!

bailout

“What are you going to spend your bailout money on, Charles?”

“Don’t know, Daphne! Might fly to the International Space Station…

Then this yacht is five years old now so I really should replace it…

Then again the share market is starting to boom…

Hmmm! Having money is a constant worry!”

  1. Sorry to say, from a pessimist, David, comming back to the theory of Darwin and evolution, whenever a male can attrack a female, there will be offspring ready to carry on (the) bad behavior and irresponsibility on earth.
(How many trees have not been cut down to build this opulent, sumptuous yacht ? – - – how many homes stolen from the apes !!!)

Males with lots of money have little trouble attracting some females, John. The upper class will never die!

  2. Choice?! What choices? It’s ALL illusion and lies. Everything.

So-called “democratic” electoral choices are based on political lies. So-called “free market” purchasing selections are based on marketing lies. So-called “religious freedom” is based on dogmatic lies.

We live in a world where our choices are meaningless because they are all based on the false propaganda of the “elite” few and we accept it because we’re not permitted even to glimpse any other possibility. Nor are most of us inclined to abandon the comfortable “matrix” of the illusion.

    Choices? Not a chance!

Arvy, the proles on the capitalist treadmill have no real choices. The Masters of the Universe do. Cheers.

  3. The treadmill’s carrots on sticks create illusions of mastery, choice and many other “freedoms” that permeate many levels. It’s a system as old as “civilisation” itself.

  4. Folks… it really makes little difference to me because I know what’s behind the curtain. In fact I find it amusing to observe the sheeple people all running in circles chasing after what? NOTHING! I agree with Arvy… it’s all an illusion but if you know it, the knowledge will help you make better choices. You can’t help the sheeple, they are gone. so help your self.

  5. Oh, the problems of being rich. Just read that since 1980 the riches 1% of American’s income tripled while the bottom 90% lost 20% of their income. Tripled! Now they still want more.
The US has spent nearly 13 tillion dollars in bailout money for rich bankers and other crooks while the average persons sinks deeper in debt and despair.
It makes me sick! I know people who can’t afford health care, can’t pay all their mortage, are having a hard time even buying food.
Something must change! Our current system is just totally immoral!

  6. The outrage of citizens should have began when, overwhelmingly through the 1990′s, companies followed a corporate model of ‘the expendible employee’. Firings “at will”; the employer not needing a good reason to fire an employee. Treating a worker like they could be replaced in a heartbeat if they didn’t like the exploitative policies of the company. ad infinitum.

Feeding the millionaires while the little people starve, and lose their meager shelters is a nautral evolution of this “corporate model.”

Politicians got everybody worked up and angry about “welfare queens, rolling up in their Cadillacs to collect their welfare.” – and thus, destroyed “welfare as we know it.” The truth now is: You will not get one penny of welfare if your car is worth more than, wait, $500- Never mind you need a decent car to try to find a job in. If you go with your family to get welfare, you will be asked to sell EVERYTHING of value, including wedding jewelry, before your family will be allotted $700.- per month to scratch by on. Oh, and don’t forget there is a lifetime five year cap on any govt. assistance. Even if you use it all up and need help down the line.. I fear there are plenty of encampments awaiting my fellow citizens who lived like the typical American without the benefit of being a millionaire/billionaire.

Ha, the irony! – that the only ones getting the “welfare” money are Welfare Kings driving their Bentleys!

Angry people unite. Be at the ready like the shoe thrower. The Revolution must be non-violent, somehow..
