A recent picture of me dissenting!

Friends, Australia, that dry country at the bottom of the world, has decided to follow the lead of America and not attend the U.N. Summit on Racism.

Now, as you all know, Australia, under John Howard, slavishly followed America into Afghanistan and Iraq despite the protests of its citizens. Then we had a change of Government, one from conservative to liberal but, unfortunately, the slavishness still continues.

The reasons given for our non-attendance (besides our traditional American arse-licking) are as follows:

- the forum might become anti-Semitic.

- Israel, where a race of people who claim to be the Children of God live, might be criticized.

Besides Israel and America, Italy and Canada have declined to attend and other countries which have strong, pro-Israeli sentiments or lobbies are still considering their options. A key Israeli objection is that the UN committee managing the conference is chaired by Libya, with vice-chairmen coming from Iran, Pakistan, Cuba, Russia, Indonesia and Turkey (all but one is Muslim – isn’t that terrible?).

Now, as an Australian citizen, I protest the action of my country. Why?

-Israel is a racist country given its shabby treatment of the Arabs who still live in Israel and the Palestinians who, besides being viewed by many Israelis as sub-human, have either been thrown out of what was their land or held under brutal Israeli occupation for many decades.

- Israel, the Jewish State, following its invasion of Lebanon, has just carried out genocide on a large scale in Gaza and, after leaving the Strip in ruins and over 400 children dead, refuses to allow building materials into the Gaza concentration camp. We wouldn’t want anyone to criticize that, would we?

- Israel has just elected one of the most right-wing Governments in the world. This Government has declared the two-State solution a non-starter!

Israel has done a number of things which have generated hundreds of U.N. Resolutions (which Israel has ignored). These include building settlements on occupied land, home-demolitions, use of phosphorous munitions and cluster bombs, stealing of Palestinian taxes, the shooting of children and journalists, the starving of Palestinians and keeping them in poverty, imprisoning Palestinians without trial, stealing Palestinian land, restricting Palestinian movement, building concrete walls, causing women to die or give birth at checkpoints, etc. Nothing to criticize there, is there?

Australia, the land where the fair-go is supposed to apply, is adopting a double-standard regarding Israel because of the power of the Jewish Lobby here. As in America, they are entrenched in powerful positions in government and the media and also have vast wealth.

It’s time Israel was strongly condemned for what it is: one of the most bigoted, racist, brutal countries in the world.

P.S. Since I wrote this post, Armadinejad has addressed the Summit and his comments about Israel’s actions have caused a walkout by European nations. But he was applauded by those who remained.

The power of the Jewish Lobby in the West is immense! Politicians all dance to Israel’s tune, it seems!

Thank you

It’s way past the time when Israel should be brought to task…

Their publicity machine is second to none and WE MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER that at one time, their secret service motto was: ‘By way of deception that shalt do war.’ Remember that next time you see the news when the “Muslim extremists” are blamed for something – we have seen on numerous occasions that the “Muslim extremists” were in fact Mossad agents assigned to cause trouble.

Fact of the matter is the Israeli extremists are far more dangerous than any Islamic extremist that’s walking around today…

And you KNOW that once they have finished looting, raping, pillaging and destroying the Muslim world, they’ll continue looting and pillaging and enslaving the Christians – You DO KN OW that right?

Many people in the world are wise to the extreme plans of the Jewish State, Charles, but not enough! It indicates to me the huge amount of pro-Jewish indoctrination that Western people have received.

Thanks God there are people like Ahmadinejad to tell to the World, the truth – not least to the hypocritical ‘west’ with it’s dobbelt standards on innumerable subjects, be it, who’s – or – who hasn’t, ‘the right to’ possess nuclear weapons, or to denigrate other religions under the auspices of ‘fredom of speech’ etc. .
It might happen sooner or later they (e.g. Denmark and other countries) made a fool of themself by leaving the audiens during the speech of Ahmadinejad

What the world has witnessed the last sixty years, Israel on the rampage ever since 1948, – there’s a sinister resemblance to the white man invading America by means (by turns ), such as impoverishment, replacing and ultimately wiping out, the native population.

Can Ameria seriously be an impartial peacebroker. ?

David G Reply:

America is not impartial, John, because it is using Israel to further its own imperial ambitions while Israel, cleverly, is using America to gain a stranglehold on the M.E.

Both America and Israel are racist!

Amazing. That so many in the world care for Israel is understandable given the horrors that the jewish people once suffered. However this Unconditional support of a vicious: ‘we’ll kill you before you can kill us’ attitude is unforgivable. Especially Europe and all they survived in two world wars on their land and people. Also, Australia, with a history of abandonment in a harsh land.

This is why it is so important to consider the cycles. One generations slaves will be President of the free world in another generation. Every great leader in biblical times spent time persecuted and hated before they broke free to lead the masses of people to freedom. Last year’s victim will be today’s Israel. But it is all for shit if the greatest lesson of all is not learned. It just goes round and round. ‘Stop the world, I want to get off”is an apt sentiment.

Thanks. here is my first run. This is a cropping of a tree that grows ‘not far from’ where I live. It is perhaps the oldest tree on the planet. “Before Rome, Christ and Buddha.” From Wikipedia, “The oldest (acknowledged) living organism known is a bristlecone pine tree nicknamed “Methuselah” (after Methuselah, the longest-lived person in the Bible). Methuselah is located in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in the White Mountains of eastern California, however its precise location is undisclosed by the U.S. Forest Service to protect the tree from vandalism.[1] The age of Methuselah was measured by core samples in 1957 to be 4,789 years old. “

A powerful testament to the overwhelming power of AIPAC and the United States to intimidate other countries in such a way. Heaven forbid someone speak the truth about Israel and its genocidal, human-rights-abusing ways. That’s right, Obama, keep telling us how good a man you are while you support modern day Nazis. Remind us of the water on which you walk while handing billions of dollars to greedy CEOs. Jog our memories concerning the beam of sunshine projecting from your ass while clinking cocktail glasses at the G2 Summit, reassuring the powerful and wealthy that they’ll still be powerful and wealthy three years from now… And you’ll sacrifice every last peasant to back those assurances. And heavens to mergatroid, don’t let us forget how noble you are, sacrificing your own people’s interests by boycotting an anti-racism conference, just to make sure Israel doesn’t have a tizzy. MIne hero!

A couple of years ago, Ahmedinajed’s words about erasing Israel from the face of the earth were promptly seized upon by the gluttonous Western governments and their facile press as evidence of Iran’s designs on eradication of Jews. Of course, his words were taken out of context completely, as what he expressed was his view that the Israeli government (that of Shimon Peres) was an obstacle to a potential resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian differences. His words now seem all the more prescient, given the continually rightward (hateful) spiral of Israel and its adoption of a war criminal (Lieberman) as a statesman, to say nothing of the foaming-at-the-mouth racism articulated by its Prime Minister Netanyahu!

I am astounded that more American Jews have not spoken out against AIPAC and Israel, as these entities are laying the groundwork for the destruction of Israel. Despite the decades-old subsidization of Israel by the West, in particular the US, Israel is teetering on the precipice — most of the world can still spot an antagonistic, murderous, racist state, no matter the propaganda spewed by the capitalist-dominated West (please support the growing boycott of Western corporations that support Israel!). The Israeli state exists on land stolen from the Palestinians, but I think most of the world would welcome any placatory gesture by the Israeli government, including the return of some of the lands it’s stolen in return for some peace and justice for the Palestinians. Yet where do the governments of most of the new world order stand? With the latter-day Nazis of the 21st century, the Israeli bigots and racists. It’s not only shameful and completely discouraging to me, but grounds for revolution (along with about 45,670 other motivations) in this land of the free, home of the craven couch potato. Before long, I may be seeking political asylum in Oz, or Kiwi-land, or perhaps Andorra – anywhere I don’t have to pay taxes to support my own racist, murdering government or its subsidization of the Israeli terrorist-state. Until Israel chooses a path of peace with the Palestinians, I completely agree with the Iranian president: the estate of Israel should cease to exist, instead relegated to the fossil record along with religion, armaments, and capitalism.

That’s something that mystifies me too, Peter, why the Jewish people who deplore what Israel is doing don’t stand up and say what they think. Perhaps they’re too frightened of what may happen to them if they stand against the forces of Zionism and Israeli elitist, religious fanaticism.

What amazed me when I first heard it was that we (the USA) would not go to the summit on racism; the US with the first black president, his wife the decendent of slaves and we would not be there.
That a country as powerful as we are is afraid of tiny Isreal is disgusting and our support for Isreal is shamful.
Obama promised “change we can beleive in” but we seem to keep getting more and more of the same.

It should now be obvious that the majority of world governments U.N and the mainstream media are Zionist controlled! After all why aren’t governments and UN doing anything such as charging Israel for war crimes for the past 60 years? Shame on those countries for boycotting this conference!

Jeff and Irfaan, the U.N. Conference on Racism shows clearly how seriously divided the world is and how incapable the current crop of leaders are of solving problems.

To me the Conference looked like a large kindergarten containing a large proportion of spoiled, ignorant, two-faced brats!
