Are We On Planet Titanic?
Friends, people like you who are aware and informed can’t help but be concerned about the current state of our planet.
What with swine flu now on our horizon along with the current economic and financial crisis, the strong possibility of nuclear warfare via Pakistan or Israel, erratic weather, wars raging in many places, terrorism, famine, the melting of icecaps, cancer, refugees flooding across the world… I’m sure you can add to this depressing list as well as I can.
The people in the image had somewhere to escape to (well, at least some of them did).
We don’t! Our planet is all we have. There is nowhere for us to hide.
How many people realize this? Five percent? Ten? Fifteen?
Our leaders are blind, incompetent and self-serving.
The rich and the religious call the tune.
What can we, the people, do?
Protest? Rebel? Revolt?
Any ideas?
The problem with the swine flu vaccine is that the vaccine has been PROVEN to kill more people than the swine flu but I’m sure it’s very profitable….

Protest is useless as highlighted by the Iraq war protests, united people but achieved nothing. Protest or Rebel against religion and the masters and their grip on society is unachievable as there are to many shepple who believe the lies and misconceptions or are to dependant.
Revolution and/or Anarchy are the only streams that can bring real change. Fight their system and destroy their methods of control where and when possible to the extent that they know not what to do. Their harsher tactics will isloate the masters further and provide recruits for you until an attritional position is reached then fight till they give up and want to negotiate or their tactics and strategy are unsustainable. It’s a classic insurgency tactic, Sun Tzu taught this millenia ago.

What amazes me, Kemosobi, is that people like you and me must resort to talking about measures like revolution and anarchy when the stupidity of allowing greed and religious fraud to dominate and destroy our world is so obvious.
I guess it shows the power of the heavy indoctrination we all receive and the complete failure of education to teach people to think!

Most likely there is nothing we can do. We are like a passenger on the Titanic, seeing the iceberg and shouting out a warning, like the citizens of Iraq in 2002, watching Bush lie and threaten them, not believing that the US would invade them, like Native Americans trying to reason with the European invaders taking their lands – we just can’t believe that we are powerless to resist the greedy sociopaths destroying our planet’s ecosystem, and all the wonderful creatures here on Earth with us. But, most likely, we are powerless to stop them.
It seems that history is just a long saga of peaceful cultures being destroyed by, or submitting to, violent warmakers.
I think we discussed this before. I do what I can and the rest of the time I try to enjoy life, while keeping my footprint as light as possible.
I know that I have had an influence on people, although not as much as I would like. But I know a lot of people who are “in the closet”. Who care about the Earth and have progressive ideas, but won’t talk about them at work, or with friends, because they worry about fitting in.
I think that we should be upfront with our ideas. I bring up my politics at work, at the grocery store, on the bus, whatever!!
This is our only chance. Go for it!
And organize locally. Eventually, easy global domination will stop, because it requires lots of energy. We need to have local food and energy production, with basic human needs supplied for our community and decent relations with other communities. Start now. We don’t have that long.

I agree completely with what you are saying.
I too know people who are “in the closet” about what is happening and refuse to speak out. They have criticized me for speaking up about issues I feel are important. I feel that I must speak up. I will be leaving this world to my grandson and many other children like him and I cannot comfortably remain silent.
Part of the problem is that too many people don’t speak out against things they know are evil and just let the problem get worse. We all share in the responsiblity for what happens in this world to a small extent.
I know it is most probably useless, but I must at least try if only to be able to say to myself and my grandson I did try.
I see so many people complain about problems and then do nothing about it. Even if what you try to do fails at least you tried and maybe you did a little good.

well i don’t know. but i’ve just been sent a ‘very’ long email detailing the lead-up to this ‘perhaps’ planned attack on the world population (7 billion don’t forget and growing every day.) i think perhaps it’s too long to post here david, and i’ve only briefly looked at it but will see if there’s a source and post it later on.

You can rest easy, the “swine flu” scare of 2009 is just another exercise in mass hysteria for profit. It is this year’s “bird flu” of “S.A.R.S.” and also serves the purpose of being a red herring to take attention from the criminal activity vectored at the white house.
It is a great time to book a vacation, on the other hand!

Being ‘politically correct’ does not work – It just lets people get away with what they have been doing. You have to tell people the truth, you have to piss people off and they have to get mad as hell before they’ll do anything… Most people believe what’s on the news so obviously most people are idiots!
Or,
If you don’t we continue down the same old path towards complete a total self annihilation.

Just keep voting pigs into parliament, i guess. [ logic: since swine flu only transfers by close proximity, the snuffles and sneezes within parliament House will wipe the less able members. And yes, pigs are more intelligent than dogs. Long story, and am not telling it well.]

I recently watched the movie Titanic and it gets better with time! I saw so much more about human nature and society; privelege vs third class or even second class, than I perceived when it came out 12 years ago. It was a bit of a time capsule for me as of course i was that much younger and the actors too. We were all so young and trusting! Just moments before the ship began to flood, children played, people got ready for dinner, nobody wanted to believe it was really happening. Pass the tissue!! SO what is the lesson here?

And 99% of the world is steerage locked in a sinking ship and bearing the consequence of what the elite masters of the universe decide …….I for one and weaning myself off of this destructive system trying to build a sustainable life for my family and reach out to others who would do the same……….
