Is that the beginning of a small mustache under his nose?
Friends, the Israeli election is only days away and the man who would be king, Benny Netanyahu, who has already vowed to get rid of Hamas in Gaza and to neutralize Iran, has declared he will use the U.S. Administration to do it, according to Al Jazeera! His exact words were, “It will oblige us to work on all fronts, including harnessing the US administration to stop the threat.”
Now I know that the words of politicians at election time are notoriously wayward but to say at a public forum that you intend to ‘harness’ the Administration of the world’s teetering superpower as if it were a donkey, seems to go beyond the pale.
It speaks volumes for the power that the Jewish lobby wields in the U.S. and for the influence that Zionists wield at all levels of American government to say nothing about their virtual control of the media. As well, of critical importance, is the Israeli awareness that it provides the U.S. with an important military base in the Middle East for the spread of American imperialism.
At the same forum, Benny also said, “We must unite the entire nation and I will turn to all Zionist parties because, in the face of Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas, the social and economic challenges, we will have to stand together.”
So there you have it. The Zionists and Benny, armed to the teeth with nukes and the latest military technology, will harness the U.S. Administration to further the ambitions of themselves: a group of deranged theists and ultra-right-wing nationalists and insatiable imperialists.
Of course, there has been much alarm during the first three weeks of the Obama presidency concerning the number of known Zionists and Israeli apologists that have been appointed. So perhaps Benny’s claim of harnessing is based on fact not on wishful thinking. It might well be a case of the tail wagging the dog if you’ll excuse the mixing of metaphors.
My concern is what the election of Netanyahu will mean for the Palestinians, for Iran, for Lebanon, for Syria, for the whole Middle East and for the whole world.
Benny should not be allowed to run a nuclear-armed country!
People like Benny should be put in padded cell!
He is a madman!
to ‘harness’ the Administration of the world’s teetering superpower as if it were a donkey …
Yup it has been the Donkey since 1933

Nice of you to drop by, Naj! And could I add, since 1945, it has been a willing donkey because it saw the usefulness of Israel in furthering its own imperial ambitions.

yeah, cowboys like to harness things……………..like cattle.

It’s a curious word to use, Coco, but one that illustrates the way that Israel sees the U.S.!

At the moment I’m watching my 22 month old grand daughter playing and wonder about
the poor little Palestinian children who are going to be killed and maimed if (as is likely)
this crazed monster is elected. I guess our political “suckholes” will be forming their conga
line to tug the forelock to the zionists here.

As a US citizen I resent this bragging & boasting of our supposed friend & ally.
Our intimidated politicians are terrified of stepping on zionist toes, they have seemingly lost all ethical considerations in their willingness to supply money, arms and public support.
They seem more zionist than the zionists.
The Israelis contempt for us is shocking. Will the US keep shrugging off these humiliations?
Believe me I’m dismayed by my gov’s. callous disregard for the Palestinians, as well as brushing off the concerns of us ordinary folks.
I intend to cut & paste this paragraph to send to my senator Bob Casey, who recently parroted zionist talking points when I complained about Israeli aggression, but I doubt that he even reads his mail.
His letter was so frustrating, if anyone’s interested I’ll post it.

Robbo, the others that are running, people like Livni, etc, are little better! They’re all crazies.
Kate, it certainly is an extraordinary statement. He must feel he’s on firm ground. Regarding your senator’s reply please post it. It will give further insight into the complex workings of the American Political Establishment!

Dear Mrs. Bates:
Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding the unfolding situation in the Gaza Strip. I appreciate hearing from all Pennsylvanians about this important issue.
Israel has been a key ally of the United States and cornerstone of U.S. policy in the Middle East since its founding in 1948. Israel is one of our strongest allies, and the bond between our two nations can never be broken.
The chief obligation that any government has to its citizens is a duty to protect. Thus, when constant rockets and mortar fire generated by Hamas forces in the Gaza Strip barrage Israeli cities, Israel has the right and the responsibility to defend its population. I deeply regret that a humanitarian crisis has emerged in the Gaza Strip, and I support the continued provision of humanitarian aid to innocent victims there.
A stalemate on Middle East diplomacy will only strengthen extremists like Hamas throughout the region and breed further violence. This is why I continue to support a two-state solution, with Israelis and Palestinians living side by side in peaceful coexistence with secure, agreed upon borders. For this to happen, the United States must reassume its historical leadership position to bring the parties to the table. As President-elect Obama takes office, I look forward to working with him as his administration pursues robust diplomatic engagement to bring lasting peace to this critical region.
Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future about this or any other matter of importance to you.
If you have access to the Internet, I encourage you to frequently visit my website, http://casey.senate.gov. In the months ahead, I will continue to develop the site in order to allow you to stay up-to-date on my work in Washington. If you wish to e-mail me, you can do so on the website.
Sincerely,
Bob Casey
United States Senator
Dear David & other posters: If you have any suggestions about how to reply to this I’d be glad for input. I’m completely outraged & frustrated.
I’ve been working on a response but I’m so angry I think I come off sounding demented.
Thanks. Kate.

Kate, he reveals his total bias towards Israel and things Jewish.
His is a common position among U.S. politicians who realize that they have to pander to Jewish interests if they want to hold onto their seats. But also, what the Israelis are doing, so is the U.S. So if he condemns Israel he, by association, condemns America as well.
If I were going to reply to his letter I would send a series of graphic photographs like the ones I use on my posts, each one with a suitable title naming names and places of those harmed by the IDF. Then, after listing the comparative casualty figures (kids, civilians, etc), simply ask the question: Are you saying, Bob, that you support this kind of genocide, brutality and collective punishment?

Thank you David, everytime I start to write I get crazed all over again. I know to be effective I have to keep it short, but I have been saving photos & links in re. to this.
The other issue is that Bob is totally illogical: anti abortion, pro capital punishment. I was raised Catholic & wonder if I should appeal to his conscience.
I am what is called lapsed. An old guy in the sky made no sense to me, I preferred Greek myths, now I lean towards a universal mind that is made up of us all.
anyway (see how I ramble??) how about that line “our bonds can never be broken.”?
Truly scary.
David, agree as to the lot of them. That minister to-day calling for the murder of the PM
(Haniyah I think) and bragging as to how they murdered Sheik Yassin and Rantissi made me
realise these mongrels really are crazy, dangerously crazy.
Anyway I’m going back to entertain little Ami-Ree, she is beautiful and keeps me from stewing.
Cheers from Melbourne.

Enjoy your time with her, Robbo. Little children are so precious. Shame we couldn’t make the world a better place for them but there’s always some crazy, greedy, power-hungry, son-of-a-bitch who is screwing things up for everyone.

David, well 1933 was the prelude to what was expected from 1945 …

Well, Netanyahu. And who should we have expected? The Israel is very much akin to its big brudda, the United Sheep of America. If any person of conscience (and from what I’ve seen, one doesn’t exist in Israel) were to run for office over there, they wouldn’t get past “I hereby announce my candidacy for…” before they were squashed. Just like in the U.S. Ralph Nader can tell you all about that. As I said, though, Israel doesn’t seem to be burdoned with those kinds of pesky do-gooder fools. Hence the overwhelming majority of their population having no qualms about their military running concentration camps and committing genocidal atrocities daily.
So vote Netanyahu! Until the Grim Reaper himself throws his hood into the ring, he’s the right man for the job.

Hey, Late Revolution, I can’t say I agree with you about Netanyahu though the comments you make about Israelis are largely correct.
It would be an interesting study to look at Judaism and the personality of the God it worships and compare it with the personality of the average Jew. Therein lies the problem, methinks!

Much like the way Wilson agreed to sign into existence the Federal Reserve for selfish political reasons, giving us the fraudulent economy we know today. Or the way our hero FDR removed the gold standard from the equation in America. Or how Nixon was persuaded to privatize the medical industry and create HMOs. How about Reagan’s taking it upon himself to fire striking airline workers and virtually kill the labor movement? Thank Clinton and his progressive thinkers for NAFTA. And let us not forget John Adams’ Alien and Sedition Act, which made it illegal to speak out against any public official. W were just getting warmed up at that time for an endless stream of corrupt assholes in that damn ugly White House. Nixon said he wasn’t a crook. Other than Teddy Roosevelt, all our presidents have been nothing but crooks, each doing their part to tear their own people and the rest of the world apart. This is American history. Let’s see what long-lasting pain Obama bequeaths to us.

For Kate Bates:
I hope you might find this useful, Kate, for re-educating your Senator (I know it’s a long shot): it’s a full-page ad taken out in The Irish Times on Jan 31, 2009 by a whole group of concerned Irish citizens:
