Avital and Mark: “We DON’T target civilians!”

Friends, since the carnage in Gaza stopped a very interesting situation has developed. You will remember that during the 22 day massacre the Israeli mouthpieces stoutly and continuously maintained that Israel went to extraordinary lengths to avoid civilian casualties. I even remember seeing Israeli footage that claimed to show how they even aborted the firing of missiles so that residential areas wouldn’t be hit.

But a new report, one featured on Information Clearing House by Ben White, suggests that the Israelis went into the conflict with the express intention of  using  ‘disproportionate force.’  What this means is that, if one Israeli is killed, then ten, fifty, a hundred, a thousand of the enemy will be killed. This is supposed to act as a deterrent. Possibly by coincidence, the Nazis thought the same!

It seems they achieved their aim because 1360 Palestinians were killed and only 13 Israelis: 3 civilians and 10 soldiers (three of whom were killed by their own troops). This gives a ratio of 136 Palestinians killed for every Israeli. Disproportionate force indeed.

One report that is doing the rounds on the BBC is that an Israeli got out of a tank with an M16 and, seeing a woman holding a white flag, a woman surrounded by her three children, the brave soldier fired again and again. His score? He killed two children, shot the woman, and the third child is in an Egyptian hospital and will never walk again. The distraught father, upon receiving the news, was shown crying. Ah, the Children of God. Don’t you just love them?

Would you like to spend eternity with this lot?

Friends, we had a visit from a  Zionist-Jew-Israeli yesterday. His name was Frank Molina and his comment can be found on the Ceasefire post.  His contribution was filled with the usual rubbish that religious fanatics of any kind speak but his concluding sentence was both instructive and concerning. He said:

“Your greatest wish is for the current 14 million jews to be murdered as well
it ain’t gonna happen
if we are going, you are ALL coming with us to the next world.”

Well, there is little left open for interpretation in those words. What Frank was indicating was that if the Israelis in particular and Jews (although strangely Frank didn’t use a capital letter for Jews)  in general think that their existence is under threat then they will wipe out the world, kill everyone, take the lot of us with them.

Well, I for one don’t want to go to the next world with Frank. Call me old-fashioned, but to spend eternity with Frank and a group of raving ratbags who bob up and down as if they are demented doesn’t appeal to me. And their God doesn’t appeal to me either. I mean He’s the one who turned people into pillars of salt and had them swallowed by whales and sent floods that drowned everyone except a chosen few. Behavior like this suggests to me that He has a few severe psychological problems and seems to be more into punishing than demonstrating love.  His Children have a similar bent!

This is what armaments do!

Friends, today Obama sits in the luxury of the White House surrounded by servants and sycophants while, anxiously, the world waits to see if he will change the direction America is heading in or, at the very least, modify it.

Today in Gaza, the homeless sit dejected and penniless amidst the ruins of the ghettos they used to live in. In hospitals the injured lie. Some of them struggle to stay alive. Some of them are shattered, their bodies broken, their futures ruined. In the Gaza Strip, a concentration camp,  live 1.5 million traumatized people, especially the children. Tears flow freely for loved ones who are dead: children, women, civilians, freedom fighters. Bombs and shells don’t discriminate.

And elsewhere in the world, those who make the hideous munitions and armaments, who sell them and make huge profits, are well-satisfied with the results of their products especially the new experimental ones, the ones that cause even more damage and injuries and spread more death. They are probably out looking at luxury cars and lavish apartments or motor yachts as you read and couldn’t care less about the misery and destruction and casualties they have caused to innocent people.

Folks, this image may look to you at first glance like feeding time at the zoo. The wide open mouth, the red flesh: it looks like some kind of reptile or dragon waiting for a morsel to be thrown into its mouth.

Of course, it is feeding time. The Pope, in his lavish Palace, is feeding the vacant minds of hundreds of thousands of his flock. He is making mysterious signs, talking in theo-babble, making promises that he knows are untrue. The mouth on his head is an ornate crown, one bejewelled. His clothes, well let’s put it this way, you can’t buy them in Walmart.

Given his age, he is probably wearing a nappy but no one will know because such human frailties are kept from Catholic believers for fear they might think that the Pope is no more than an over-dressed, elderly human being, one that, without his finery, is just like them.

Of course, tomorrow, another man, a well-dressed, dusky-skinned, very political, younger one, will stand on a dais and be adored by millions. This man will speak in tongues too.

Pretty Israeli-American fireworks! The deadly kind.

The fight for freedom goes on!

20/1/2009. 7.30am. The truce appears to be holding and Israeli troops and tanks appear to be retreating but it is unclear how far they will go.

Worryingly, according to Al Jazeera, there is evidence that Israel has used new, hideous weapons during its onslaught in Gaza. Foreign doctors working in Gaza’s over-crowded hospitals have reported grotesque injuries they have never seen before.

One of the suspected new weapons is called Dense Inert Metal Explosives (Dime). When detonated, a Dime device expels a blade of charged tungsten dust that burns and destroys everything within a four-metre radius. It explodes from the ground up stripping away the flesh and is much more deadly than a landmine.

Another type of seemly new explosive scatters tiny metal fragments which penetrate the body’s abdominal organs, so tiny they can’t be removed surgically. The patient then quickly dies from septicemia. And of course, as everyone knows,  American made phosphorous shells are part and parcel of the Israeli arsenal. They cause horrific burns and start fires.

It would appear that the Gaza invasion was used as a testing ground for American munitions and perhaps those of other nations. The people who make and use these hideous weapons on innocent civilians including children are subhuman, immoral, and deserve universal condemnation.

19/1/2009. 6pm. Footage of Israeli troops laughing and celebrating their massacre of 700 defenseless civilians many of whom were children was one of the most nauseating things I have ever witnessed. So the world’s forth strongest army that boasts a well-armed, technologically advanced navy, air force and army had a victory over a civilian militia who, to protect themselves and their families, had only small arms: it’s hardly a cause for celebration, more one for deep shame!

Footage of Gaza reveals huge devastation. Bodies are still being dug out of demolished buildings. The final death toll could be much higher. Gazans are returning to where their homes once stood. Stunned, they stand in rubble-strewn streets unable to believe that they are homeless and destitute as well as starving.

But, in a few days, the anger and hatred will return, intensify, and so will the plans for retribution. The Children of God may think they have had a victory. Hopefully, one day, it will prove Pyrrhic!

Friends, I came across this image recently and I was immediately struck by its connotations. The question that occurred to me was: Has  America become a twisted version of one of its own comic heroes?

Now look, I have only seen ‘The Hulk” once on television. It was not a show that caught my interest and neither did it seem to have any meaningful intellectual content. It seemed to be nothing more than a spin off from Superman, a digitally-enhanced, money-making exercise which showed some huge, steroid-pumped-up giant going around with a contorted face destroying everything in his path while supposedly doing something worthwhile. Its message seemed to be that gratuitous violence can do good!

Which brings me to the point of this post. Has America, with its huge, unassailable army, the biggest in the world, become a nation run, not by a well-meaning Hulk, but by a group of psychopaths like the one symbolized in the image above,  a group which rages around the world waving flags of freedom and human rights while destroying and killing and occupying, not for the good of humanity, but simply for conquest and booty?

More sinister, is this group secretly seeking to control the planet and impose their greed-based, survival of the fittest economic and political system upon it? Continue reading →

Friends, Israel (the one which is involved in invading and leveling the besieged Gaza) is talking about entering into a truce with Hamas. This is after it has killed 1113 Palestinians including 346 kids, injured 5,300, made 26,000 Palestinians homeless and caused 1.4 billion dollars of damage to Gaza’s infrastructure.

Israel is demanding that Hamas not only agrees to stop firing homemade rockets at it (in retaliation for the siege) but that the American military must be involved in stopping Hamas getting hold of any arms to defend themselves in the future. Ironically, tunnels are out for Hamas but of course the Israelis can continue to get military weaponry delivered by America, thousands of tonnes of them. How’s that for unmitigated gall?

Olmert said that Rice told him that, “The United States would be prepared to assist in solving the issue of smuggling”. I’ll bet they would! It would allow them to create yet another military base in the Middle East thereby increasing even further their armed stranglehold on the world.

And now, overnight, the two ladies shown in the photograph (Al Jazeera) have signed a memorandum whereby America will ‘help’ to ensure that Hamas has no means of defense.

Friends, I know that when you first looked at this photograph, you thought it was a senior IDF commander surrounded by his henchmen walking through the rubble that once was Gaza! But then you looked closer and realized that it was a picture of Hitler. You may ask yourself, why is David G putting a picture of Hitler on his blog?

The reason is that I am completely convinced that the sorry track record of Israel, which has culminated in the current, ongoing massacre (1100+ killed) and genocide in Gaza, shows clearly that the State of Israel has secretly modeled itself on Hitler and is following the same methods used by him to the letter. You’re not convinced?

Let’s take Gaza and look at what Israel has done since 2007. First it put Gaza under siege and starved the 1.5 million people for a year or so, a form of collective punishment which is against International law. It completely controlled the land, sea and air and made Gaza into a concentration camp.

Then it began the blitzkrieg, what was it? twenty odd days ago. As soon as the initial devastation of the blitzkrieg was over, then the invasion began. The tanks rolled in, and the heavy artillery, and the infantry. This was the modus operandi of the Nazis in Europe in 1939.

Friends, after carefully reading the link that I put at the end of my last post, several things seem to have clicked into place. I wonder whether America, in cahoots with Israel (and who knows who else – certainly the U.K., perhaps even Australia)  is not involved in a much larger strategy in the Middle East of which the current genocide in Gaza is but an initial foray in a new operation, one that will be manipulated to escalate.

What is the pattern that I can see forming? One of the pieces in the puzzle is the unusually large arms shipment of munitions sent by America to Israel to beef up America’s existing stockpile of weaponry (which it apparently maintains in a lot of different countries).

Stopped by the Greek Government from loading them onto a Greek vessel, America is quickly finding an alternative delivery source.  Why is America increasing its stockpile of weaponry in Israel now. Why is the shipping manifesto so vague about what’s in the huge shipment given the weight is so heavy (3,000+ tonnes)?  Are they bunker-busting bombs such as might be used on Iran, or Lebanon, or Syria? Or nukes?

Secondly, it appears that Israel, if it asks, can get access to these munitions. This does not bode well for the Gazans or perhaps for other surrounding neighbors of Israel in the short to medium term. Also, Israel launched the invasion in the last few weeks of the Bush term. Was this a carefully planned move, one given full American backing?
